Sorry for flooding in coments, but this game is just AMAZING! I passed 8 levels, spent about 5 hours in 2 days. It's great challenge! Sorry if my english not so good.

Fantastic game. Thanks.
Main menu screen makes me think of two things. There was no soviet union in 1994, and there was no euro in 1994. )

So I've figured out a few now. But I'm having to read up a lot and learn these techniques from scratch. I've reached an impasse though; does anyone know how to create the power-on reset generator? So far everything I've seen includes resistors, which you don't have in the game. are you supposed to put loads of gates in series and use the lag?

This game prepared me for my Digital Design class. It's easier to know how things like adders work when you've BUILT one.

There is something I fundamentally don't grasp about the logic behind level 11. I just have no idea where to start even thinking with this one.

Cool thing in this game is reinventing electronics from scratch. Bad thing is, well, the game itself. I found myself "playing" mostly in my notepad(paper one) and gameplay of drawing transistors only gets in the way of testing my designs.

No ingame tutorial. found the video after a while. found the pause video button after being already frustrated by the faster-than-read-speed of the video. The video does not explain step by step. I guess you need a UI designer to make a good tutorial.

I have no idea how to do this, and I cant do the first level even WITH the tutorial, but because it's by the makers of The Codex Of Alchemical Engineering, I have given it 5/5 and favourited it, becuse it's probably just as fantastic if I knew how to do it.

What i really hate about this tipe of games is how it makes you feel stupid.
"Oh,well i see you've completed the level,goo...wait HOW MUCH CYCLES HAVE YOU SPENT?STUPID!LOOK AT THE RECORD BOARD AND DO IT AGAIN!"

I'd really like to play this, but when I hit the Shift key for the first time, it switches from N-type to P-type silicon permanently, and I can't switch it back. Maybe it's because of some bug in the Linux flash player, but it would be nice to have some other way in the interface to switch, or another key.

To HellzBullet: if you want to make the delay longer just make another line of gates (i assume you wanted to say gates instead of transistors sorry for the correction) and connect the last one of the first row with the first one of the second just like you would do if they would be just next to each other (my apologies for grammar mistakes i am not english)

Oh how I want this game to be in past, when I was learning Physical Basics of Electronics - only now I see how those things really work!
Thanks for good game, Comrade ;)

I wanted to play, but the video is waaaaaay to fast to read, and the game is a bit hard to go playing blind. Better instructions please.

"initial levels do not teach you the basic building blocks of the game (as they should)"- castorquinn. The beauty of this is that it is a game where you have to actually think, rather than just making you put whats in the instructions into the building frame. The game is perfect as it is.

level to complete.. i think im starting to grasp the basics. haha :D

The interface could use a little work, in particular it would be REALLY helpful if I could rotate and flip selected regions or snippets.

Just completed #5. You need to create a delay component as you did in #4 (just a series of AND gates (NPN) with the output of each previous gate wired to both inputs of the next gate).
Use the Enable Pin's current to power the OSC, and the delay component to "interrupt" this signal path, using an PNP gate.
That will give you 1 "pulse" and should get you started in the right direction. You still need to get the device to oscillate, thus need some way to re-enable the signal path between Enable pin and OSC after it's been terminated. But I don't want to spoil the fun. Good Luck!

It's a great game but the one side deactivating/other activating can give moments when a value is true and your vertification says it's false this becomes a big problem at late levels.

i would love to see this game with a "sandbox" using a larger grid. I built the 4 bit selector for 16 bits of ram, but there isn't enough space to actually place 16 ram units, nor is there a way to set my own input values to test it.

Finally I managed to create a small enough latch to make my 8-bit memory and is it a thing of beauty. Then I noticed the clock/RW parts of the mux where identical and and reduced the memory controller mux by almost 40%. :) Cannot post the design because of 1000 character limit. :(

...What? I can't even find the in-game tutorial. D: No rating until I find it. (So I'm not hurting OR helping this game.)

how do you make an oscillator? its really confusing me on how you are supposed to make it go up and down while it is turned on
