I absolutely love this game. If I could I'd give it about 100 out of five. First of all, I thought the music was incredible as soon as I loaded the game. The gameplay is wonderful as well. It's really rare to find a game that is so challenging and yet so much fun to play. It's so satisfying to finish a difficult substance and watch your machine do its magic. The graphics are simple, but anything more complex would likely distract from this game's elegance. The interface style and music fit together magnificently into the theme. There are only two things I would suggest: one, a fast forward button. Watching five repetitions is a little much. Two, a 'duplicate manipulator' button, so that I don't have to code something twice if I want to use it in more than one place. Other than that... brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

I understand that by continually polishing your solution, you can get lower symbols as well as less cycles… But how the heck do people do Lvl 6 with only 8 symbols?!?!!? 8 symbols is only good enough for 2 manipulators… O.o

Not that there's going to be any updates, but if anyone ever republishes this they should make it so all the components, not just the manipulators, can rotate. That'd make it much easier to streamline your contraptions.

Baffo -- the circle must only contain the Hematite molecule when you release it. Because there's another element present, the circle isn't correct. Your solution works with one small amend -- if you change the final arm to be quicker. Instead of grab, two extends, release and two retracts, replace it with two pauses, a restart symbol, then a four-step cycle of grab, extend, release and retract. You only need to extend it one space to be within the circle, and the changed rhythm releases the molecule earlier, which is enough to avoid this problem and let the solution work.

This is an extraordinary game; my brother showed it to me, and we've been sharing solutions since. It's fascinating trying to find your way to the answer, and even when you don't have the best answer - which I never do - it's incredibly satisfying to see your mechanism working. Excellent!

@baffo: I had that problem too, but then I realized it takes a cycle for the finished molecule to be absorbed. The collision is occurring before the molecule is getting absorbed.
