the point of the game is to see how long you can live without saving, they changed in it epic battle fantasy 3 but 1 and 2 are focused on pretty much survival, tactics, and skills. after all it is a strategy game

I played 'Epic Battle Fantasy 3' first and I cannot stomach the previous two because there's no overview Map feature. Nonetheless a good game.

Tip for Epic Mode: While you'll want to spend most of your money on Waters of Life and a few Ethers, take some of that money and buy bombs. After Natz's Limit Break, a bomb used on the final boss will do around 42K damage (no magic attack increases from leveling). (+) if it helped.

Protip:using blood blade with the counter ability is useful, as it not only harms the enemy but heals you, making it simple to recover from being hit by a strong attack

i found that AS(just use it 1 or 2 times to get) and secret weapon dont seem to do as much damage as required, same with cat tamer/warrior. so i recommend doing this: from the very start do nothing with matt but use regular attack, and with natz just use lightning. then get counter/swordsman and thunderclap(if angel ever appears choose that over anything else, same with magic counter). with matt continue to attack non-stop(and dont forget to equip the blood blade. that way every time you get attacked he will attack again and regerate the health lost ALONG with do lots of damage. up until you get passed the worm, spend points you have into defense. constantly use natz's lightning attack and then get elementalist 1, after that work on getting astrology to boost your magic counter(weather you have it or not). the fight against the robot is the same as longgun said. but keep stunning him even after he is stunned. KEEP THIS POST ALIVE!
