For those of you complaining about the Krakken, just slow down when near the 4 outter parts and eliminate them first. Then circle the Krakken and blast away. Really easy if you took the time to level up. Plus some of your first upgrades should be the treasure hunter upgrade. Makes getting cash to upgrade the rest easy.

Good game, but upgrades are WAY too expensive considering enemies will get new three times better ships after one upgrade.

the boss is either way too hard or the developer expects us to play this game about 20 hours longer than it remains fun. 3/5 for ridiculously expensive upgrades

You know, it might as well not even tell you how many spaces away the treasure is in the treasure hunt mini-game. In some instances it could be the entire island is a viable location to find the treasure from your last attempt - I feel like it should give you more control saying something like: "3S" for "3 paces south". This wouldn't be a problem necessarily for when you find maps off of enemy ships since it's supposed to be a bonus, but when you make it a quest that I keep failing, then it's just annoying because it's out of my hands whether I can successfully complete the quest or not and failing the same quest over and over isn't fun.

Escaped at nearly no hp and once in a while i was able to shoot them without getting shot back, everything gone fine until i reached the edge of the world... what?! also kraken* would be much easier if i wouldnt start from one-hitting spikes... (i cant see edit/delete post to fix my typo)

i think the game should have an island or something where u can go to trade ur stuff every time u want while u are doing any quest... like a tortuga island :P

Nice game, although it takes forever to get anywhere as the upgrades cost far too much. I would suggest in the market where you sell items that the price they pay is per kilo of shipment that way you allow for better upgrading.

Try the treasure hunter upgrade under the weapons shop. It increases the chance of ships leaving gold when sunk and I also noticed that the value of the quests was going up as I upgraded. That might help those of you who find the upgrades expensive. Plus up if you find it helpful.

Treasure hunt is not just about luck. In most cases you have 50% chance findig the gold chest (If you use fisrt two shovels wisely). But the treasure itself sucks.

1. Upgrades too Expensive
2. Ramming ships are annoying as hell.
3. Cargo is useless, 150lb jewel sell so for 50g.
4. Why am I the only pirate the Navy hates?
5. Why should I defend the pirate when they turn around and attack me the next day?
6. The Treasure hunt game is a completely luck based mission since diagonals and crap mess up everything.

Fun game! I love upgrade games, and the fact that it's also a game about pirates makes it an automatic 3/5! The gameplay is fun, and though the upgrades are a little pricey, it's nothing a few days of blowing up ships and plundering booty won't fix. 4/5 and instant fav.

Why don't people quit taking things so literally and just enjoy the game for how good it is? Think of the items as "chests full" of said items.

What I'd like to see is enemies of different factions hitting each other or generally some friendly fire. I can't believe the navy, merchant (bodyguards) and pirates all hate me enough to only attack me.

Really nice game and all, but like other have said the upgrades are too expensive (and you get too little many for the missions and loots). Even though I love upgrade games and love to farm for gold a little, this game is pushing a bit too far.

So is there a trick to beating the boss, or is it just a matter of grinding for 10 hours to get gold to pay for enough upgrades to beat him?

Liked this a lot but annoyed that enemy shots pass through other enemy ships - would be cool if you could use them as an additional defence

Little advice on the treasure hunt: It makes more sense to first dig in two places that are rather far apart from each other and try to guess the location of the treasure via triangulation.

Nice one! I have to agree with uloot, the ramming boats ARE overpowered, but otherwise this game is really good. I'd love to see a sequel some time.. I'm not done yet, though. Maybe the game still has something waiting for me...

I had a kind of bug first time i activated the eye, cause the whirlpool appeared outside the map... I could see the sign but i couldn't reached it, so i spent like 10 minutes sinking ships and getting money, then i canceled quest. You should try to fix it.
When you're about to end a day, just start a new quest but don't complete it, just sink ships over and over to get loots, money and treasure maps. It's quite boring but you may finish the game quickly.

captain: chase that pirate ahead of us, now! soldier: but sir there are two of a different enemies' ships directly beside us shouldn't we shoot- Captain: now are you disobeying orders? soldier: but... captain: now chase the red one!

cheat for 1600 insta (almost) gold, set your pop-up blocker to high (all pop-ups), click like us, click all 4 buttons, you have 1600 gold (might want to turn your pop-up blocker back down or it wont even let you click "see all comments")

In the matter that concerns one ships' cannon balls fly through another ship and hitting you I think this could be corrected. Cannon balls or any other ammunation should hit and damage the first thing it enconters in its way, friend or foe alike. Other than what was previously said in all the other comments, nothing more to point. Great game!
