I don't quite understand the reasoning behind the varying sale prices. If you had a place to store cargo outside of the ship, so that you could hold off on selling it for a day or two to see if the price improves, that would work. Or if the loot was more of the "commodity" variety (i.e. you loot 20kg of rice which is currently selling at 5 gold/kg), then you could hold on to it to see if the sale price went up the next day. The way it is, I'm just annoyed when the sale price is red and happy when it's green, but I still end up selling everything each day.

Would be great if we could see friendly fire between AIs.
Currently, it doesn't really matter whether it's navy or pirates, they all chase you to death side by side, which doesn't really make sense.

BEST WIN EVER. This might make the kraken badge easier for you maybe! I had the shooting gallery at full upgrade and whatnot, took on the kraken and got to the head... unfortunately I died before the head did (I'd taken out the 4 guys already) but I was right up next to it when I died. so the lil' wanted poster popped up. HOWEVER, I noticed there was still hits being given to the kraken (you can tell by the brown pixels still being thrown around on the head). So I decide to sit and wait and just watch. Guys, I killed the kraken from the Wanted screen. I got the badge. just sit close enough to it when you die and it should take it out easy! as long as the corner guys are dead, at least. best glitch ever.

What I'd like to see is enemies of different factions hitting each other or generally some friendly fire. I can't believe the navy, merchant (bodyguards) and pirates all hate me enough to only attack me.

Wow 11 thumbs up on "you should be able to end the day instead of just sailing around". Try clicking the pause icon and then End Day.

strange how our ship has a set cargo limit... but our magic loot box that is presumably on our ship as well has an unlimited capacity but eats all the items inside after midnight... like a Mimic version of a gremlin

This game only needs one thing, enemy friendly fire. You're constantly out numbered, being able to maneuver the enemies so that their shots at you hit one another would make this a whole different level of action strategy.

great game...love anything with upgrades. only problem i have is that when enemy ships sail through burning oil they should catch fire too not just you

Im not to fond when you have to attack a pirate ship and then the navy suddenly help the pirates O_o And then they all shot threw eachother which is a real pain in the ass :(

Final Boss: Ram a corner turret and fire a single volley of max level cannon balls. Repeat for all 4 corners then just circle the boss while firing - keep the boss on fire and disarm with pirates.

Few suggestions for a sequel: 1) New different looking maps. Was kinda disappointed that all of the maps were identical, perhaps you could also put some obstacles that do damage as well to both firends and foe (volcanoes, whirlpools, large waves, Storms, Rocks, sandbars, etc) 2) Opton for friendly AIs that are upgradeable. Having my own gang of pirates would be nice when fighting 10 other pirates and the navy at the same time. 3) Friendly fire. annoying tht ais can shoot through each other and do damage only to me, even if they are navy and pirates. 4) upgradable turning radius. half the time i was playing i felt having a sharper turning radius helped more than speed. and 5) more difficult sub bosses. the final boss was annoying as shit, but all the other little ships you fought weren't shit. perhaps make the navy officers have smaller faster ships or larger stronger ships with multiple attacks? overall good game, just redundant.

When digging, start in the corner, so whatever number you get will have fewer possibilities (e.g. a 1 in the middle of the island means 16 options, while a 1 in the corner gives maybe 5 (irregular corners can mean fewer)). Your second click should be one of these golden chest possibilities (you might get lucky), but pick one on the "edge" of these, for the same reason. You'll still fail often, but this strategy helps a lot.

I really hate it when the enemy ships shoot through their allies and kill me... I don't think that should be possible...

great game, just one suggestion though, when finding the pirate chests, it should be more like minesweeper and show only those around it, not two in any direction, coz chances are the player wont find the chest and its very annoying =.=

interesting concept but upgrades are indeed too expensive. it is not so fun to grind especially when it seems everyone hates you and you alone no matter what side they are on, enemies can never damage each other, each quest is itself already a grind coz enemy numbers pile up, and ships somehow have the capability to suddenly lurch forward and ram you powerfully. fun factor is easily and quickly drained soon after.

Upgrades = too expensive for what they do. They barely change your stats and it takes 1-2 days to get enough money to get them. There should also be an upgrade that automatically repairs your ship over time.

could be a really nice game, but the gameplay last to long, lootin ships too lon, upgrades are way too expensiv and some are useless

I really liked this game. I chose to max out everything before taking on the boss and it did not feel like grinding to me at all. As a bonus, I was easily able to defeat the boss on the first try. I also took a hint from +bugoji, which I'm sure helped. I think the key to quick upgrading is directly related to which upgrade options you choose. I tend to upgrade income generation first and the inventory to keep up with it, and then armor/weapons as need arises. Another useful technique for wealth gain is sorting your inventory and keeping the most expensive items. Also, make maximum use of your inventory. If you have space for another item, keep it no matter what it's value. Any money is better than no money! In the beginning of the game I tend to sell all my goods, even if they don't receive full value, just to get cash on hand. Once money starts to roll in I'll hang on to things to wait for their value to rise. Hope someone finds this helpful!

Best strategy is to only choose ship-hunting missions (no treasure-hunter, no fort-hunter) and sail towards ships to hunt them. Kite them into following you, and just zig zag in front of the ship while firing to take them down. You can have oodles of ships following you to collect $$$ and treasure. You can organize your treasure by doing the treasure-hunt mini-game (you keep anything at the top and trash anything at the bottom) to ensure that you keep the most expensive treasure. The treasure mini-game is mostly luck-based, but I prefer moving diagonally for the second move to give me more info'. Focus on treasure-hunter, cannonball, and tortoise shield. One level of dragoon Ram is necessary to speed through levels. (remember to recharge it every level!)

can u make it were if the enemy fire it hits them too becs there using each other as shield and hitting me double THANKS

Am i the most wanted person on the planet? pirates and the navy don't even think about attacking each other once I come along
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game, only thing I would suggest is either adding friendly fire so their attacks hit eachother, or making it so it's not you against the world. What's the point of having navy and pirates if they are both in an alliance against you?

*spoiler*
To kill the boss you really need to upgrade most of the items. First kill the 4 guardians in the corners to drop the shield. I find ramming them to be fairly effective. Next circle the Kraken such that it can't fire directly at you. Use the fireballs to give continued damage and you should be able to take him down losing about 20-25% of your shields total.

Protips: you can collect loot with your cursor. The 4 boss tentacles can't be disabled with pirates. The amount of damage you need to soak for the kraken is way too high from the first time you get to it. Normal Cannons are the most useful, beyond pirates for swarms of ships and the ram for travel.

Seeing some Friendly fire from ships shooting through each other would make a bit of sense. that and having the option to fire just one side of your canon so you can get a double burst on the turn.

There really should be a way to see instructions in-game. I started playing again after not having played for awhile, and I had no idea what I was doing. Furthermore, I could not go to the menu and open instructions. In quests, if I look away for a moment, I miss the instructions in the mini-games. The mini-games themselves are not intuitive, and again, I cannot just click or hover for a how-to. Once in the bounty screen, it is unclear what I am supposed to do. While I try to figure it out, the day ends. Instructions would make all the difference. I dislike having to go to another website in order to relearn how to play a game without completely restarting, especially in a game with somewhat frustrating controls. I like the concept though, and I can respect how much work must have gone into creating this game.

Liked this a lot but annoyed that enemy shots pass through other enemy ships - would be cool if you could use them as an additional defence
