This game... has bad scaling... wait, no... terrible scaling... and exploring the wild has seemingly no reward... I'm beginning to wonder about whether or not I should actually finish the badge, because I seem to have to sprint through areas to even finish quests... A game without balance is not a good one... at least in most games I can farm to get better weapons, but there's hardly any in the entire game, it would seem... I'm willing to give the second game a chance, but only if someone gives me a holler... I got to level 8 in this one after already nearly 3 hours of grinding... which seems like a bit much, even for a game of this type...

it took me FOREVER to get those 25 ice shards, and for what? MY SWORD IS STRONGER THAN THE ICE SWORD, COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

Hmm, so by the time you get the first quest reward item, you can already afford a better item in the shop. Lame. I still am enjoying myself though, but seriously. You can't have long and tedious tasks not be worth it.

Hints and Tips: Don't keep accidentally pressing the "Hints and Tips" button when you're dying and scrambling for your Attacks and Abilities. :l

I hate be a nagging person but seriously, sleeping at inn DOES NOT REMOVE POISONED STATUS ?! Even the old fashioned games that i have played does not have this kind of flawed/failure.

The drop rate are just ridiculous. It took me until lvl 6 to actually got 20 beetle shells for that stupid "level 3" quest and the stupid beetle shield actually weaker than shield that can be buy from the shop. Is this the only failed quest or pretty much other item collection quest are?

4 types of shards, 4 pieces of equipped gear, feather and potions leaves 4 slots open for quest items. No room for anything else. This is a serious issue. Equipped items shouldn't take up inventory spots, neither should the spell components.

Pfff takes forever to get money and buy better stuff, so I keep getting back "hone" to buy herbs and antidote….. no fun!

My complaint is that once your starter dies, you cant get it back.It would be good if your pet came back to you so that you don't lose it forever. Also, some of the enemies should be weaker so that you dont die all the time.

you can have 4 eggs hatching at time but only 3 can go too ur selter ( if started died ) but why would u wanna have them in their in case one dies......then do all the trainning again with him -_-

The freakin pets are qay to squishy and stupid! so many times i had to load my previous save just to keep the pet. i dont mind loosing the pet in a fair fight, but that f***ed up thing just keeps on dying because it is too damn stupid to just stay by my side!

Wow...Just now noticed. For the longest time I thought that green thing you start out with had a mouth but no eyes, it turns out he has an eye but no mouth! o.O How does he eat?!

This game seems pretty cool so far, not really a big amount of different items such as swords, armours, etc that I could see. But I love how there's no level cap, that's just amazing. And constent exp, so a level 1 guy will always give you 4 exp no matter your level. Pretty cool, Could use some work tho, like the inventory slots, and items getting in the way. Along with the retarded pet A.I. where he sometimes just wonder's off because an enamy "Saw" us. Kinda bad when he gets killed that way. :/

(Additional Note to my previous comment): If you wall your pet off someplace safe, they will level with you as well. (I gave up on pets, they die too easily).

QUICK LEVELING ADVICE: Expanding on the trick TwoHands mentioned, pick a map that has auto-attacking creatures that you can defeat and take little to no damage in the process (monsters respawn about 1 minute after they're dead, YOU heal 30 health per minute, so you can take up to 30 damage per monster and this works). When you kill something, watch carefully to find the spot where it spoawns...it will ALWAYS spawn on the same square. Bait creatures over to that area and kill them AROUND that spot, DO NOT PICK UP THE ITEMS. You basically build a wall of items that nothing can step across. Once you've walled yourself into that one spot where nothing can get in or out, just stand there. Go read a book, watch a movie, run around the block, doesn't matter. Every minute a new creature will spawn and attack you. You will kill it within about 10 or 15 seconds and get exp. Do this overnight and you'll get 6 or 7 levels from just standing there.

How on earth do you complete your first quest? I go and kill all the beetles fine, but then I can't make it back to the save point because of all the freaking snakes! Do I have to spend forever killing beetles to level up a bunch before venturing past the snakes? I've tried to give this game chance after chance, but there's only so many times one can die before giving up and hating the game.

whenever my pets die i just rush into whatever monster i can find so i die then stock up on healing items and feathers so can prevent my pet from dying next time... i still have the first pet you get sence i do that

when I first played this, it was on another site shortly after it's release. in that version, there was a awsome glitch in which the fire of fire eyes gave you over the limit health, like it was adding to the burning fire of the hero's indomitable will. when I entered the fire room here a few years later, not only was I shattered by the change, but was also horrible surrounded and burned to death... no amnesia blondes where harmed in the burning of this character.

I played Castaway 2 before playing this one. Notable improvements: inventory, battling monsters, and moving your character around the map. Still a bunch of issues with the game, but it's much more playable than this one. It seems the first Castaway was rushed out the door without much play-testing. I hope the developer's next works will show (s)he's read comments and feedback about his/her games.
