This game has the potential to be fun, but two things ruin it:
1 - Picking up money is so difficult, that it seriously interferes with killing enemies.
2 - Levels aren't replayable, and you don't get any money for a level you didn't complete. This seriously limits how much money you can accumulate, and can leave you stuck if you spend money on a weapon that doesn't end up fitting your play style. You don't have enough money to get further in the game, and you don't have any way to accumulate more.

yeah up, no magnet, no ship upgrades. no replayable levels, the random swearing at you when you die. no keeping anything when you die.
I try a weapon and its bad, I supposed to be just out a few lives while I die getting money because my weapon is bad. you got 'weapon does massive damage', and even 'Instant kill' on a early weapon that does poor damage. Nothing does significant damage of the things I've tried....but yeah. should be an auto collect at end of level.

... did it just play the "WTF-- BOOM!" after I died? ... It didn't happen the first time D= ... or is it becouse I died on purpose, without killing any enemies? (Besides the ones I crashed into)

If you happen to buy weapons that do not fare well against the Mother Cube at level 36, you are screwed. For some reason, you cannot replay earlier levels. For some reason, the dev acknowledges this and acts as if this is fine. Besides the money collection and clunky movement, not being able to replay the levels means you might end up needing to replay those boring 36 levels just to have another shot at defeating that boss. If your weapons are still too poor, you'll have to replay the 36 levels again. You can't replay the levels as in any other arcade shooter EVER MADE, so you can get stuck, meaning you'll have to delete everything and retry. 2/5 for poor design

I like this game, however, the controls don't work for me. I do not use a mouse. I simply just do not use a mouse. Haven't in a few years, and without a mouse using my trackpad in one hand for fire direction, and then letters for movement and numbers for weapons both from my opposite hand doesn't make the game fun. This game has potential!

This game has a lot of potential but is ridden with all sorts of problems. Picking up money, having movement that is counter-intuitive and needing a separate "game" to give tips on how to play this one.
1/5 Would not recommend.

I just played this game for the badge of the day. It's got all the frustration of old-school arcade shooters with none of the fun.

You don't keep anything when you die and you can't replay old levels. This game is LITERALLY the worst shooter I've EVER played in my ENTIRE life!

Hard badge here i come. thx to Squideer's Strategie with the Lightning Weapon use inside the final Boss. Don't shoot to fast, so you can beat the Boss with 1 full load of the Lightning (he dies in 5 sec. with this Method)
For me, the hardest Level was 58, because of the very fast random apearing Jet enemies, but if you go there more with "defence" they can't touch you (using Lightning, Slow Time and Shortshield). Waste Lightning, the use Slow time, avoid the enemies until Slow time runs out, then use the Shortshield. After this the Lightning should be fullfill and can be used again. With this method, it's harder for teh enemies to hit you

for lvls without those doors or buildings...shoot BFG diagonally and hide it. by the time u rch the other end. BFG should have fully charged. now shoot back...hide and continue. lol

Don't buy vortex, not worth the money and I can't get my money back, I don't think I can progress now =[. I should have got the big energy gun. Arc spread, 4 homer and lasar lock have been best value for money so far for me.

buy Arc Spread as soon as you can i use only this weapon. Play for 8-9 levels and you'll get the badge.

Do you guys remember when the BotD was chosen for a high quality game that was engaging, fun, and well developed. I do. That is why this game is being rated 1/5 by me. Kong, if you are reading this, have the person responsible for selecting the BotD actually PLAY the games before making it official!!

With the complaints about this game, all legitimate as far as I can tell. I am amazed it is rated so high, maybe I have higher standards? Why was this game badged anyway?

I like it, challenging yet interesting at the same time. Sure, there could be some improvements i.e money doesn't disappear, there could be a magnet to pick up money so you don't have to go marching into a wave of enemies just to pick up $300. + this if you agree.
Overall, I would give it a 4.2/5.

you need money to buy weapons,but there is no other way except beating the level and continuing challenge a harder level. But there is a lot of monster prevent me from picking up money?? so where would i get money? no money => no weapon => can't win => can't get money = stuck ! AT LEAST,let us keep our money after death! you seem don't want us to play ur game. if there is 0/5, i would rate

On level 7, Cannon Fodder, if you destroy all 4 of the spawners that make the little triangle ships, you can't finish the stage and have to refresh page because no enemies spawn from outside of the arena.

This game does have it's lingering issues, The lack of replaying is clearly one of them. The other seems to be a "fairness" delay when switching weapon, Although personally I've found this can kill use for items like the Timer, and Tornado which are designed to act with other weapons. I ended up Lightning, Slow Time, and the Duct of Death as my main three weapons. (A free tip for anybody who's stuck on a boss, If you activate lightning and then go overtop of the boss, It can inflict the highest DPS output in the game, Beating out the Duck of Death. The duck is just for extra damage)

I love the mechanics and humour in the game but it could have done better with another upgrade system. But nice 3/5 game!

Dont know why everone hates this game ? Kinda challenging than the regular lame boss fighter models. U definitely need strategy and skill to beat this game.
Having said that stages should be replayable atleast one time.

This game is horrible. The controls are unresponsive and very laggy. No wonder I didn't play it back then; won't do it now, even for the Badge of the Week.

Game was a 1-star when I played for the Easy badge. Got medium now and went to level 21 before deciding to quit because it's STILL a 1-star. Did Kong go through a time where they just gave everything badges, even if they had ridiculous concepts like this game's "No replay levels + bullet/monster hell that makes grabbing money a second thought + badly needed weapon upgrades costing so much it negates the "screw money" part of a bullet hell." I'm looking for a game, and it's certainly not here. This is punishment, and if I wanted punishment, I'd go get arrested or some other nonsense.

This is by far the most torture filled game I have ever played. Never have I ever considered killing myself over such a boring game. The only reason I even continued wasting my precious time one this retareded game was to get the Badge of the Week. Don't play this game
