giving them an education apparently does not stop them from running into random things... they just keep running towards the rivers... im not that bad of a principal am i?

Phew, that hard badge is hard! The fame requirement goes up much faster than I can train people, I had to give up my keeper characters to make it! Thank goodness for months when Mana Scholar is the demanded class!

I'm trapped by the lakes and can't get out. I hate that I have to forfeit the round simply because of this error. :( http://i.imgur.com/Fj6JNYp.png

So at week four, month 1, I encountered The Apprentice.
(total damage from my troops: 75 DPS) Apprentice hp: about 36000
Me: this is going to take a while...

The "Hold that Meteor" errand quest is a godsend to those without gold. It is as if you can waste your gold and it will be replenished after doing the quest.

so got my first penalty at year four....The penalty is you lose money? That doesn't make any effing sense! How would you recover if you didn't do the first year perfectly? 4/5 lose 1 star for absolutely retarded 'penalty,' it's like if you fail once it wants you to fail forever

oh, damn wish kong let you edit comments. Also try to keep a handful of unupgraded level 30s. When you get to level 20+ it's pretty much impossible to lose to anything that isn't a succubus or corrupted angel with upgraded characters. Use your level 15-20 scholars/apprentices to train your new crew, then take your upgraded people against the royal cup. Also for the royal cup, ignore the melee guys, charge past them and drop your group of followers on their sorceress/gunner for easier victory since they do so much more damage than the dragoon, magilancer, and duelist but have less health. If you just charge at the melee people you might lose everyone before you get to the ranged fighters.

This was honestly a lot easier than it looked. I didn't need to graduate ANYONE for the final month. You can abuse the mana scholar or apprentice request if it comes late in the game, buy them 5-6 weapon ranks, graduate, repeat. I got scholar at 5th month, spent the month doing errands for money, then gave them 3 equip-ups each before graduating. I was at 9400 before reaching month 12. I expect this is the trick to keep playing forever on official mode. After month 7, I never had to graduate anyone early, I usually had one of whatever asked for sitting at 30, with another almost on the way there. Dump your money into them on week 4 then graduate, usually enough fame to cover the next month too.

@Dracondis There is a way to turn off everything..M for music, S for sound effects (birds chirping), and V for voices.

Finally got perfect first year... would keep playing, because it is an interesting game. 5/5, but I think I'll stop now... only reason I knew I was in second year was because of the notice I got the badge. If there were some plot or 'teacher quests' or something to add a tad of variety, then I would probably stay for all the runes.

Hey, I've been enjoying this game today, but just ran into a very frustrating scenario. I started a "hunt" quest, only to find myself trapped in a small area by water and unable to reach the enemies to be hunted. Just saying.

I doubt the survival of a world that comes under attack from meteor storms every other week, and "Holding the meteor" is recommended for the students of an academy overseen by a glory-seeking King.

3/5 - No way to turn off the music. No way to go to a title screen when you're done/want to break for a bit. No way to save manually (though the autosave is nice, if it occurs with every change in the savestate.) Would be 5/5 just for being able to turn off the music.

Excellent game for its genre!! Once you figure out how to manage your students, this game is achievable. It's very well balanced and randomness won't kill you like it does in some games. Badges and full set of achievements can be completed within a reasonable time-frame.

I feel that the way this game can not tell the difference between the boys and girls dehumanizes your characters and is lazy.

woooow this game is unfinished... like every other click I make a student gets stuck on the edge of something. totally a waste of time as I sit there waiting for him to get unstuck. move around, still stuck... this happens very often, you would think the maker would have noticed this

HARD BADGE: PHASE1 is 1st month – it has always Mana Scholar on dem& (50% more rep), so recruit all Mana Scholars u can & train then evenly (train lowest grade one, best are hunt mission). Dont buy weapon. In 4th week every Mana Scholars u have. PHASE #2 means train Mana Scholars until u get 1xSorcerer(mag) & 1xMagilancer(phy). Sell other classes. Simultaneously buy apprentices & sell them w/o training. If you got Apprentice or Mana Scholar on demand, train em evenly & sell. Use gold only to buy new students. When u got 1xSorcerer & 1xMagilancer starts PHASE #3. Sorcerer & Magilancer are ur teachers in party. Buy new students, train them evenly and sell. Always check demand. Best for LP are 4-star "hunt" missions. Use spare gold to upgrade "Sorcerer's" weapon & then "Magilancer's" one. Dont sell them even if they are 30 grade. Remember to train students-to-graduate evenly. I mean always train this, with lowest level and train as many you can at a time. It's best way to gain rep.

i enjoy this game. a good tactic for beating 5 start quests is to use ranged attacks and get the enemies stuck. use a bait to stick the enemy then switch back to the ranged units and hit shift to save the bait

If pyons are small slimes, as in smaller seeming than your average rpg, and have no hands, or feet, how do they scratch? Let alon hurt your students. Lucent: "Oh no a slime touched my leg! *faints*" Unless ALL students are like this...those must be magic slimes.

... so basically I close out the browser because I accidently teleported my party to the person with the swarm rather than the puller to the party, and now I'm in week 3 with nothing to show that week 2 even happened?

Great game, with surprisingly good gameplay...
The only thing, that is kind of player-hostile is managing team during battle - there is no way ho to grab only 2 students and rush with them, he leaving healer and some "security" behind. The only way is by the second mode, moving them one by one, camera flashing from side to side...
