P.S: The way to pass the bow glitch isto skip the bow tutorial, you get it reguardless if you skip it or not. You can use the bow by holding shift and then the mouse until its fully charged, then release.

The bow is bugged! If you draw the bow, you die a couple seconds later for no reason. This makes the guard tower level impossible to beat.

for you guy who are stuck at the boss, attack him so he jumps and then attack, Bow WON'T DO anything but get destroyed press + to keep alive

For the People that do not know how to encounter the different tasks in this game:
In case you didnt read it carefully, the bow is equipped by holding the SHIFT button.
The Catapult does not need to be attacked or defeated, just stay as close to the right border of the screen as possible it cant attack you there, you will have won the lvl when youve slain all the enemies.
The last boss can only be attacked mid-air, target his legs/feet so he will jump, then target him with your sword while hes jumping, hit him a few times and he will be dead.

Last boss jumps outside the screen, rally hard to kill if you can't target him, please make him always visible.
Got stuckl on last boss, i tried to hit him on air while he was jumping outside the screen and now samurai is frozen, can't die or kill!!

Excellent, but the screen needs to scroll much faster and follow the player better (so that when you cut you don't get up half out of the screen).

I loved the concept. IF there was something like this as a large console or pc game in 3-d it would be amazing.
Sort of wished there was a seppuku easter egg if you did the right cut.

Game is not bad, but please fix:
- Boss jumping outside of the screen 90% of the time,
- Samurai freezing
- Dash not working after you click
With these 3 it becomes nearly impossible to finish the game

i had the same glitch dark,i was in a battle,then it said i died when i was alive,and the screen tayed red and black,odd.though if the entire game was in red in black it would look cool

Just letting everyone know that Straw Hat Samuri 2 has already come out. If you liked this game you'll love the next one. More Slashing, you can now perform arial attacks and combos, new bosses, and the bad guys have jetpacks! rate up this so more people can see.

Wow, one of the oldest games on Kongregate. It came out over 10 years ago. For a game made back then, it was one of the better ones.

the bow its very hard to use when pulling the bow it can sometimes fall short and you have to pull back making you lose your aim and the arrows how hard to pick up while eniemes are killing you

To kill the boss: Slash whilst he's charging, causing him to jump, then slash horizontally below his position as he's falling. He will fall into the sword. Do this several times and he'll die.

I hate how the enemies stick to the sides and if your mouse goes off the screen at any point you can't attack so you take 8 hits before you can attack again.

Wish I could scroll left and right with the arrow keys, and way faster than panning with the mouse. Really frustrating when fighting the boss. Also, being able to lock the mouse to the game window (so it doesn't leave the border, click elsewhere on the browser, start scrolling and panning as I try to slash, etc).

All in all, 4/5. Moving the screen around is a bit awkward in this kind of play style you're trying to go with. Especially with the boss fight. Couldn't really get a good hit on him since he kept going off screen.
