This game just doesn't have the appeal the first game had. I love the first game, still play it. I like a lot of the new cards, and wish they'd be added to the first, but some of the changes just ruin it for me. The new interface is also not user friendly AT ALL. I can't teach any of my friends the game. Even I am having a hard time following the new user interface and I am a very active player of the first game.

A tip for anybody struggling with the hard campaign: Reduce the total number of cards in your deck. The default deck has around 124 cards, I played with 84 and beat each area in a few tries. Stock up on the most important cards and then remove as many of the others as you can. Having fewer cards will increase the frequency of your ideal cards being dealt. As for dealing with the sacrifice cards, you have to bait the computer into using them often, as eventually they will cripple themselves.

Campaign mode is so royally unbalanced, I gave up after 5 attempts. About half the time I can't even play a single card due to a total lack of resources. The original was much more playable in that regard, this is just hard for the sake of being evil.

That highest rated comment.....Nah I won't even bother.
Anyways, great sequel to a great game. I enjoyed the little animations too :D 4/5

Sacrifice builder shouldn't take people below 2 builders imo, to keep the game from going waaaay too slowly. Hard mode wasn't that hard, you should just quit if you have a crappy start in the matches (example, getting reaper'd on one of your first few turns). Also the town on the bottom right has 5 wall and 10 castle or something ridiculously low like that; save game and modify your deck, taking out all high-resource or endgame items and fill it with low level attacks and catapults/rams so you can take it out in the first few turns, then go back to your normal deck for the rest of the game.

Thanks to all who gave tactical adviced for the hard badge (focus on building up, hardly any fences, no attakcs except thief)! You're great - it works :)

the best way to win (in campaign, at least) is to go the pacifist route. I have no weapon cards except for 5 thieves. The offensive cards that come from magic and building have MUCH better ratios of resources/damage than the green cards, but recently i haven't put ANY offensive cards in my hand at all.

The hard mode SUXX! Second Turn -> Trojan horse -> down
.. next match -> first turn -> dragon -> down
.. next match -> first turn -> dragon -> down -___-'

BOOOOOOOOOOORING
Jesus, this game moves turtles slower then a magic players turtle deck, choosing to attack is totally pointless when people can throw walls in your face for laughingly low amounts of bricks. Also the system is just boring and it's almost entirely luck based what happens. Seriously people dont even know what a good game IS anymore with drek like this actually getting frontpaged.

This version compared to the original reminds me of the comparison between Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 5. The original is pure win. A simplistic, straightforward design which is easy to use and get the hang of. Yet the new version reminds me of the jump from Heroes 3 to 5. A complete facelift with exceptional graphics but none of it is needed, and the gameplay suffers heavily for it. The card info button is annoying and an easier method to view the information of a card should be considered, also, the inability to see your opponents card information is foolish. It is clear the author of this game has spent along time working on this title, but frankly, the original game, like Heroes 3, is one I will much prefer returning to.
For the record, get rid of the sacrificial card, its horrible.

Congratulations! You just won the Rags to Riches Badge and 30 points!
Badge earned
Hard campaign completed – There is some luck involved here, but nothing that can't be overcome with a bit of patience and a finely tuned deck. - Hell yeah.

wow this game is not as bad as I thought! After getting the hang of it, I actually really like it now. But how the heck is it possible to win the hard campaign?

This has to be one of the easiest hard badges on Kong. I just filled my deck up with either 100% build cards or 100% attack cards and tore through the lands.

Once again in hard mode 1 turn before i could win the AI froze, way to make an annoying cheap mode even more difficult through more annoying cheap things instead of the AI being creative and difficult to fight its just infinite resources and it freezes so you hve to play it again even if you win.

There should be some kind of "find opponent" button in multiplayer, so you don't have to scroll through the list and try them 1 by 1

I HATE the Trojan Horse card. It's too cheap to make, and it does too much damage for the point of the match that you can use it. It can be used before you even have a chance to build up your castle. Rant over.

This game is quite easy to master.. Thief is the most powerful card, it is very imbalance.
I dare one to build a deck without a thief card and beat a deck with 5 thieves.
