Is it just me or does it seem to time out on the longer matches? More specifically it gets stuck waiting for the opponent's AI to decide.

I had a pretty long battle going on Hard, and was one turn away from winning (my castle was 97 and I had 67 bricks xD) when the computer got stuck and wouldn't make a move. I think it might have had something to do with the fact that it had discarded for the past 3 turns... might want to work on fixing that.

the 75 card/5 copies limit is by far too much. it's like you are forced to place a lot of cards you don't even want in your deck, cards that don't even work with each other. this and some other factors practically force you to play the castle-growing strategy rather than something else.

Anyone here ever tried magic weapons combined with dragon? It should one-hit the opponent's castle unless its above 76hp (not including wall). Don't try in multiplayer unless your opponent is stupid enough to let you.

This game has pretty much every problem that the first one had, and that the people kept on pointing out. Sure, there are improvements, but none of the previous problems have been taken care of. Only problem I can think of is the fact that you couldn't discard (and the computer too) in single player, althought I did meet once with a computer that didn't do anything after I crippled him.

Put a limit on the special cards. Sacrifices, dragons, comets, all of them. Say 2 max. Curse 1 max. It takes WAY to long to play the computer on hard when they continually decimate your resources. Mouse over text is also another essential. I love this series and was excited when it came out, but now im just getting frustrated and losing interest.

Thanks for a sequel. While the graphics are nice, the GUI isn't anywhere as clear as the previous version. The grouping of the resources is muddied. The color-coding of the cards isn't as clear as the previous version. The computer player seems far easier to defeat than in the previous version as well. Aside from that, I like the design. I encountered a bug in campaign mode. Several times I won and the screen just froze.

Hard campaign completed – There is some luck involved here, but nothing that can't be overcome with a bit of patience and a finely tuned deck.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Fine tune your deck to the following. Add all(max) cards that turns sacrifices your units to kill enemy units, all cards that turn crystals into resources, all cards that give you units, ambush, magic weapon, magic defense, trojan horse, wain. This should come out to an even 75. Basically wreck your opponent's units so they can only produce one resource per turn. In the meantime, you can keep adding recruits. Wain to keep yourself alive. Keep exchanging crystals for resources and eventually you can amplify your trojan horse to do a total of damage of 60 to bypass enemy wall and hit their castle. Plus if it helps. SZN

For all those people who beleive the people who "start petitions by gaining (+)" Don't beleive that. It isn't changing anything, the author isn't going to change his/her game over a well rated comment. And for the people who start them, get a life. Stop begging for + like pathetic morons.

I'd like to start a petition for the tie button to be removed, there is no point in having it you should just win or lose. Besides that it gives people the oppertunity to leave battles.

I loved the origional game and was increadbly happy to see a sequel... Until I played it! this is a glarge blunder. the campaign would have been a nice add if not done so poorly. to add to that Kong decided the worst campain made that i have encountered a hard badge. Now is when the producers of this game should go back to the drawing board and fix the game up and make a Castle Wars 3.

I got the "Hard" badge fairly simply with a gimmicky, castle building deck. All of my cards were to build the castle up, with no offensive cards at all.
The only 'sword' cards I used were a couple of thief cards.
I used wizards, add bricks add crystals, magic wall, Magic defense, all crystals and pixies to build up the castle.
I used builders, and all the castle building cards, and a mix of wall cards for a little defense while I build up. No offensive brick cards were used.

OK, Im done with this shit game, 6 matches in a row where the comp just uses dragon on the first turn & since they start with 40 everything he can.. & its fair... cause they get have better cards & start with more to spend... so might as well give all the yellow cards too... until campaign is fixed no even gonna rate..

For "easy" wins in Hard Mode, make a deck focused on raising your castle, with 5 Mages and Builders, lots of Pixies, Babylons and etc, and only use Trojan Horse/Ambush for easy lucky kills. + if this works for you :]

One huge problem would arise if quits counted as wins.
2 friends would face each other in multiplayer, both of them quit 5 times and they get the badge.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I won't spoil anything, but I was able to beat every level on Hard Mode on my first try with a defensive deck, mostly utilizing Babylon, Pixies, and Thief. Hope this helps...

While it is frustrating to have people quit in multiplayer mode, putting in an Auto Win on Opponent Quitting function has the potential to be abused. Someone could have his friend pop on and quit repeatedly to skew his stats. To prevent this, multiplayer would have to be restricted to random encounters.

I think a "Pass Turn" button would be helpful.. I'm tired of discarding cards in HARD MODE when I can't do anything..

WOW, this game is bull shit... on hard Ai uses; sacrfice mage, sacrifice builder, & dragon in the first 3 turns, this is retarded not even fun at all trying. since when are games suppose to be 100 % luck involved just so you have to restart & pray you start with the best cards

"Sir, we can send in a platoon and, at a push, finish off their castle once and for all!" "NO, i want you destroy that 1ft wall first, somebody could trip on that!"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wow, just because you LOSE doesn't mean you lose a win... right?
If you quit, you're a noob just like me, except I'm not really a noob, and I don't quit;

I'm guessing those who are struggling on hard mode are trying to be offensive (or perhaps both offensive and defensive). I got crushed easily with a slightly modified standard deck, and an offensive deck required a lot of luck. However, as soon as I tried a builder deck with virtually no offensive cards, I didn't have much problems beating the AI. As long as you get a few Mages and Builders early on, and the AI doesn't start with a Dragon or Troian Horse, you'll be able to abuse Taverns, Babylons, Wains, Magic Defense, Magic Walls, Pixies and Reverses (The most important cards listed). May not give instant victory, but it didn't fail often due to missing luck.

In a game where the multiplayer can be easily manipulated so that the loser doesnt actually have to lose, there should be no multiplayer badges present. Or at least one that works.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Gimicky decks work well for the 5 multiplayer wins. I made a deck where I removed all offensive cards, and focused on building my castle. The only "sword" card I had was a couple of thieves. I had a decent amount of crystal cards, mainly for the Fairies, and a ton of brick cards.

To those who have trouble in hard mode: you can go for quick kills against some of the harder opponents. I can 2 hit the guy with the curse card by using battering rams and platoons.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I pretty much hate the AI in this, which seems to have more luck getting cards that cripple your opponent. That isn't fun. I'll give this game a score of 3 until that is addressed.

Those god damn sacrifice cards! The computer manages to take all of my entertainment out of the match in one to two turns with those F*%&ing cards!
