It's a very nice game but there shouldn't be times when you can't avoid damage because if you're nearly dead it hurts.

One thing I found while playing on level five is that if you deliberately run through a lot of enemy fire at once, you only get hurt by the first bullets you hit.

Also: put kill count one the map, and maybe after each level report "killed X/Y enemies" Possibly record the best done per level so you can aim for "perfects"

Loved the game!
Some improvements that could be made:
1) FX sounds equalized more -- I had no issues with gun noises until i got the minigun, and then it was twice as loud as the music.
2) final "5000 kill" badge is a bit ridiculous. I beat the game, and I still didn't have the 2500 kill badge. I feel like there aren't enough enemies to warrant a goal that high.

@Matakukos: I agree with Rafael20x! This is a total ripoff of Upgrade Complete! Also 1941. Also Twin Pilots. Also Ikari Warriors, Double Dragon, Street Fighter, Double Dribble, Street Fighter vs. Marvel, & Mario Kart. It's a video game, done with computers, therefore it's just like Donkey Kong & Space Invaders. Heck, you keep score too, so it's like every pinball game ever made.

This game is pretty awesome in it's style but in the beginning the weapons are frustratingly weak, and after the first level I didn't make enough money to buy any cool upgrades. So basically the money comes too slow and therefor the upgrades too. That's the biggest problem for me. And it makes the game frustrating enough that I don't want to keep playing.

I wish I had epic flying doodles in my notebook. Instead thier full of non-epic flying doodles in a section that's supposed to be "Math only."

Buy Plasma shot. Buy second plane (right below the starter plane). Get 2 slots for 2nd plane. Upgrade max plasma shot. Buy 5th plane (with 3 slots). Buy all 3 slots. Save up for minigun. Have fun, you win. Either save up for final plane or continue upgrading minigun or other weapons for fun. You win. Fun game.

I enjoyed this game, and I have no gripes about it! Even without achievments, I still played till the end. nice hand drawn graphics too, gives it a good atmosphere. some people feel the need to write a fat paragraph bashing your game, which is FREE to turn on and FREE to turn off. some people are little more than self indulgent weiners with the notion that theyre entitled to what they wish, when they wish it. Good game dude 10/10

I did like it... but the sounds after awhile made me not like it. But you do a nice job of mapping out difficult combinations to fly through.

The in-game badges are a bit imbalanced. When I got my last non-kill badge, I still hadn't gotten the 2500 kills badge, so the 5000 kills one is a bit out there.

Not everyone gives 5/5 for a good reason, sometimes they lie, they want to inspire the creator, i am just saying, some people just give 5/5, but they really dont have a reason for it, i would of gave it a 4/5 if the music wasn't soo " retro.. " style, so i gave it a 5/5, although not everyone doesn't lie when they give out 5/5's some people do, i have a reason for it, its not like " Hey look a game i want more damn games of these so they can ruin kongregate " or whatever so they rate it 5/5 and creator is like " Wow 5/5 i cant belive it am very popular! " or something like that hope i explained something here.

How do you equip weapons to an empty slot? I just bought the second ship and I have rockets & starting shot. When i try and equip both, it won't work. D:

Does the money you collect from a level get multiplied to your accuracy? I had 53% accuracy and around 50k from the level, but only came back with about 25k.

If I were a teacher and you turned this in, I would have to fail you. Not because it's a bad game, per se, but because it would be as if you took the paper you already writ last semester, added an extra page of text, and didn't even bother to fix your previous typos and citation errors.
They same weapons are overpowered(energy shot and frag grenade). The early game is still a grind. The game is still to easy. The late game enemies have far to much health(even fully equipped with three 6 times upgraded H-bombs or TEN times upgraded frag grenades took full focused fire to kill even half the enemies in the last level). Worst yet, you completely missed the appeal of a multi part boss, and made the core invincible till you take out the rest.
This could be so much better than it is, and there is a lot of potential here, but I could say the exact same thing about the previous game.

This is fun, but it would be nice if this game would lose its tendency to allow my mouse to go off screen while firing which selects everything on the webpage and locks up the game until I can get the mouse back to it.

It's worth saving up for the last helicopter. Once you get the green one (3 slot), you can play level 11 over again a few times to get about 30-33k per completion. The red copter is much more responsive due to its increased speed rating and the extra slot helps once you have an upgraded minigun. Once you have the red copter upgraded with 3 slots, the rest of the game is a breeze. You can replay level 12 at 50-52k per play to get the cash needed to max whatever else you want before finishing the game. Sure, it's easy enough to do it with the green copter, but more fun to mow everybody down with the red one. :)

so guys.. when playing notebook wars 2, do not switch to another tab on chrome, on the 'You Win' thng.. yea, ytou can't click continue, and you lose what you made that round.

Great game, but I think the ships and weapon slots should be cheaper. The green helicopter is the last ship worth its cost, and all the ones past it require some grinding to afford. You can actually beat the final level fairly easily with the green helicopter fully upgraded and the rest of your money invested in the minigun.

some music was from rpg maker, not a bad thing, i liked it, graphics remember my primary school and gameplay was excelent, good job man ;)
