@Rodennt: The first ship can't be upgraded. The ship can only be upgraded if there is a red weapon slot, which is a slot that isn't available. Upgrading is just getting more weapon slots, if there is the capacity. Check the ship details.

I wouldn't even bother buying the last ship. I got through fine with the helicopter in the middle as it could get in between a lot of enemy ships. I had to upgrade the minigun and I was set.

Seems like enemies that are killed offscreen won't count as killed for the % accuracy, same with enemies you just crashed into.

This might be a really stupid comment...but how do you upgrade the ship? The box is always greyed out, even when i have 2000 over the money needed to upgrade. Help please?

Great game. A bit grindy at times, but still great. My only problems are that ENEMY bullets and enemies are hidden by the cash on screen, and the sound for picking up said cash is painfully loud, especially when picking up 100s of cash thingies at once. :P

The first time I played, the game was laggy on the later levels and impossibly hard. I took a break for a bit and did something else, and when I came back the lag had mostly gone away and there were much bigger spaces between enemy bullets. This let me actually fly between them instead of taking dozens of hits every time a new set of enemies arrived.

Ugh...I like the notebook aesthetic and the music, but the whole game is bogged down by the constant dull, repetitive grinding I have to do. It's even worse on the last level, when all the enemies have so much HP that it's not worth the effort to shoot them down. Why did you have to choose this for Badge of the Day, Kongregate? Did you think I wasn't getting enough sleep?

@coke : No, you're all right, accuracy must have something to do with how many of your shots missed. It's that 'plussed' comment at the top that is awfully wrong. The worst being that over 1400 players didn't notice a thing. Oh well.

Several people are complaining about glitches when the mouse cursor leaves the playing area. I've not had any porblem with that so it may depend on your Flash and browser versions.

Accuracy bug?
I've tried to go for 100% accuracy, but for some reason it didn't work. I've read here on the comments that accuracy is not the actual shots vs. hits ratio, but the number of enemies killed vs. those who got away unharmed. So I just returned to the first level after completing the game with 2 miniguns and just wiped everything away but the final enemy. Then I waited for more enemies to appear - didn't want to beat the level before killing them. 2 appeard, but nothing more even after 10 minutes of waiting, so I decided to finally go for the boss - accuracy: 90!!! WTF? I repeated the process twice, always with the same result. And I'm absolutely sure not to have missed anything, or are there more enemies to come after 1 hour of waiting in the end????

REALLY annoying how, when the mouse cursor goes even a tiny bit out of the game window, the plane automatically goes to the upper left corner. Raging, actually.

Anyone else completed the medium badge before the easy badge? :)
By the way, nice game, I don't know how I missed the sequel being released ^^

I cant seem to get this jumpy/laggy bug that alot of other people seem to encounter. First thing I did was swing my mouse way off out of my browser to see what would happen, but nothing did. Dont know if it's browser related (I'm using Chrome), or if it's PC related, or maybe even flash player related.

I too am having issues with cursor lag. What is causing this? Is it something that could be fixed. It would make this game alot mor enjoyable if the plane followed my cursor smoothly. It makes me want arrow or wasd controls.

I rate with only 1 star. Reason: if you move your cursor outside of the playing area once by accident, then for the rest of the level ALL of your movements become jumpy and lagged (you don't glide to where your cursor is, instead after like 3 seconds you move there VERY quickly). So you can't dodge or get items or shoot new targets in time. This is made worse by fact that you cant always see exactly where ur cursor is on the map. So chances are you'll move off the game area at least once by accident. Ruined the entire game experience. BTW, the more times you accidentally move off the screen - the more jumpy and lagged it becomes. Level one i was having to wait more than ten seconds just to move to my cursor.

Moves mouse slightly off edge of the game screen, ship flies across the screen passing through many ships and bullets, taking tons of damage. Too much of a nuisance.

Design in this game is surprisingly even better than in the previous one (5/5)! Everything looks like it just stepped off a notebook. The levels are randomized and weapons behave much better than in the previous game. Planes are better also and players are able to decide which ones would suit them best. However, most of them will be left in hangar, just as some weapons. Games ends faster than it starts... (4.5/5). Music and sound are really well done, sounds are not rough on the ears and music is really nice... (5/5). I give this game 5/5 and suggest it to anyone and everyone!
