wow i was farming gold on the last stage with frag grenades by not moving so when i came back from doing laundry i beat the game for standing still!!! the boss wont even hit you! this game is broken! and buying the H bomb is the worst mistake ive ever made in a video game

the 'feature' where you turn invincible after being hit needs to be removed....
once you get helicopter you can be right in the middle all the bullets the entire level and never go below 300 armor.

Suggestions - 1) Don't let the round end until enemies are either destroyed or off-screen
2) Either have a level complete bonus, or a penalty for dying. It's not fair to reward the reckless so much.
3) Have some weapons that only affect tanks or fliers.
4) Have other options for the spacebar superpower. Repel bullets back to damage enemies, or 10-second invulnerability, or temporary 2x or 3x attack power, whatever.
5) Have every ship be equal-but-different - i.e., the largest should have the most life, maybe another ship could be somewhat large and unarmored but have a 20% damage bonus or something.
6) The same thing as (4) but with weapons. Or maybe there should be a cost associated with equipping each weapon so that it's not possible for every ship to triple up on frag bombs. Some kind of rebalancing such that every weapon remains useful.
7) Allow the player to bring 2 or 3 planes to a mission and switch between them.
A lot of these would be better for a sequel, I suppose.

the last boss takes way too long, anyone know how far i would need to upgrade lazers to actually do any real damage faster...... (havent beaten yet)

This game is fun but flawed.
There are serious balance issues when it comes to enemy hit points. The tanks are undoubtedly the most difficult enemies in the game but there is zero incentive to actually take them down in terms of money/points/stars.
Also, boss encounters seem like less of a "battle" and more like an endurance test to see if you will actually stare at the screen for 10 minutes straight to avoid an occasional spread of 6 bullets.

Recommended challenge! Get all 4 stars and kill the boss on lvl 15 with the start ship.
Its much more fun than helicopter ;)

Protip: If you're tired to dodge the bullets against bosses, just move your cursor to where the boss is and wait. Bosses can't hurt you very well if you're under them but you still do the damage.

with the frag bomb and 3 upgrades and the helicopter you can win the last level witout moving the helicopter for all the time.

i found a very easy technique to beat the final boss. all you have to do is buy the frag bombs. once u go 1 on 1 with it, go all the way to the top right of the screen and make sure auto fire is on. The projectiles launched by it will not be able to hit you. So sit back relax and await victory. P.S im not sure if the left works as well. (=

i like that this brought back memories of the family com game 1942. but as the game progress you start to get notice it gets very repetitive and enemy spawn becomes predictable. also there seem to be a weird i dont know if it's a glitch or what but the lv seems to spawn at one rate and enemy at another rate. after a certain level i forgot which one but every lv would end with me still shooting at planes yet the map has reached the end and the i win message appears. made it difficult to obtain some of the 4 stars in few lvs as the tanks spawn just before the map ends

I like the "hand drawn" feel. I was wondering how come level 7 boss was so hard, then I realized the ship was upgradable as well as the weapons, after that it got real easy. H-Bomb, even fully upgraded, really disappoints. Bigger blast area or increase the speed, as the frag bombs are better. Solid shooter, nothing too exciting.

i really didnt like it. it was repetitive and got boring very quickly. the game could be beaten with nearly anything as u can easily dodge everything, but even with good weapons the bosses take forever. the bosses are really easy to dodge, but have so much life it takes forever. more thought definately could have been put into formations and shot patterns

I wasn't a huge fan of this game, mostly because of the ridiculous grind factor. It took me 3 or 4 days to get the last badge from completing the game because the grind was so bad. Also, I agree with many of the other comments, the H Bomb should have been way better. Although it did help shave a few minutes off the final boss when I had all 3 slots equipped with H Bomb, I only managed to get them to level 4 power and level 6 speed before I managed to complete the game.

hmmm after shockwave locked up and went unresponsive for a couple minutes (I chose to ignore and wait it out) I started getting the endless "You Win" looping bug.

Nice game, bit sketchy on the graphics. ;)
One problem though: at one point the game froze for a while and when it came back to life it got stuck in a loop saying "You win". I'd hate to kill it, because it is quite motivational, but there isn't much to play anymore.

Helicopter + Frag Bombs = Instant win. You get stars by blowing up bunkers/turrets/tanks during the level. I definitely support the idea that the H Bomb should be greatly improved. Also, it'd be nice if you made it so you could upgrade your "spacebar" bombs in the Shop. Once you get past level 6 or 7, the bombs are basically worthless because they do so little damage.

3/5 enemy formations are repetitive, ship's center does not exist so you really can't dodge projectiles without getting out of the firing zone, and enemy projectiles are repetitive. if you play the game frantic on this site, that's the good gameplay, this is ok.

don't use H Bomb.Max Frag Bomb and try it on first level one hundred times to earn money and max H Bomb to kill the final boss.
