Oh, so THAT'S what you do with the glowing box! In the wisdom-gem powered gate on the winter palace side, go left to the 4 doors, go through the 3rd door from the left, and place the glowing box in the square hole in the monolith all the way to the right. One of the runes that you need to enter in the code box in the great hall will appear on the monolith.

It's ironic how I used to keep playing these despite barely knowing what the hell is going on. All I knew was that I had to do something an it's the only thing I can do - move forward. I can't gaug the difficulty, though. Point-and-clicks tend to be hard for me. Doesn't mean they're not good, though.

This series gets spookier and spookier... At first it was just a little odd. You were trapped in a house. But now it's starting to make sense, this Submachine thing.....

Like all Submachines, this was ten minutes of pixel hunting with ambient music. Nothing happens. I haven't any idea why this series is popular.

just 3 episodes left to go??? noooooooooooooon!!
I want submachine to never end <3
(even I really loved how everything seems to make sense now)

So, has anybody figured out the last thing you need the gong stick for? I still had it in my inventory when I finally gave up and went through the green portal-hole.

For those who are stuck but don't want to read spoilers: every item is usable untill they are no longer in your inventory.

No matter how much you play these games, you just can't shake the feeling someone's gonna pop out of nowhere in the next room and scare you pants off

the submachine series are just awesome, i played them all. btw guys i know the location of one token. at a moment you come in somekind of a hall with some statues. in one of those roomes next to the statues, lies a stone on the ground in the back of the room. behind that rock lies one token.

I've always been a huge fan of the Submachine series, and this one truly takes the cake. Excellent, excellent work. 5/5 and 5 kreds!

Mateusz I have been a fan since Submachine: Zero came out, all the way to number six. I'd say this is the best installment yet! Can't wait for number 8. ( hopefully you will make another ^^)

an empty house, an empty tomb, empty ruins, palaces, and factories. No people, just remnants of them covered in dust, slowly rotting away. Nothing but notes. I should know by now not to get my hopes up, but the notes always promise a way out. But they never keep those promises. Just how long will this nightmare last...
Actually, I hope these games never end! If games are art, this would be my first example. keep up the great work!

Mateusz, thanks for the best serie i ever played! And i´m very glad when i see the drawpapers, make me think in M.C.Escher, and the map of Versailles, and ..., and.... Well done for it!

@ nield; the tokens are hidden. There are five of them, but I only found two : the one at the base of a flowerpot to the right of the statue that says "be the witness of your thoughts", and the one in a huge crack between the window at the top of the spiral stairs and the room with the four portal switches. You use the tokens in a place you reach by going down asap once exiting the pod, then left (you must pull a lever in a room above).

You should change cursor when it comes to switching screens not picking objects. When close to the edge you do not know if this is something you can use or just path to another location. And I think that this limits the item placement options as they can't appear near the screen edges.

horay submachine returns!!
as great as ever, there was so much in this one that i loved! especially the mystery of the bullet holes everywhere. this series of games is going to have me in its grip to the very end. i love it!

another unique and captivating game from Mateusz...this is by far the most visually appealing of the submachine series. it's nice to be back with Murtaugh again. M.

I love these games, but every time a new one comes out, I have to go back and replay the old ones so I can remember the story line.

For those who are having trouble finding the 4th symbol, in the second room room, once you get to the top and enter the door, enter the portal on the right, then go right past the tree until you see the ladder connected to the broken box. Use the gong stick to attackto the broken handle and pull it. Head right and it'll reveal the 4th symbol. Head right and you come out the first door.

I never found the #4 symbol for the combination, I just guessed it... did I miss seeing it somewhere? (also didn't find any tokens)

Perfect point and click game, with beatiful drawings, music that really fits this and a cliffhanger. I wish i could give it more than 5/5 :D
