At the end, when the screen is cracking, at the top of it, "DEPICTION" flashes into several different jumbled words. POETICEND is one of them. *cough* However, this game was very well made, even though I normally hate platformers. It wasn't too hard, it made you think at times, and it reminded me of Portal, which gives this an instant 4/5 at the least. Many, if not all of the puzzles were cleverly made. In general, 5/5.

After you beat the "boss" a whole bunch of anagrams appear where the level name is and the last one that appears just before the screen shaters is "poeticend" or Poetic end.

It was fun to play this game again nearly after a decade after I've first played it. Thank you once again for making this game.

I understand it all. Shadow you is the you with common sense. common sense says "don't touch the spikes" "gems are good" "we should kill the creature" boots are good". but when you realize your common sense won't do you any good, you begin to understand how to win. that's when it leaves you. after it leaves. the levels seem to make sense. but when it comes back, the levels go crazy. because YOU'VE gone sane again. you can't see the real floor. eventually, and this is the depressing part for me, you have to go insane to free yourself.

to get good ending you have to make sure you got spare dart then jump while moving forward and shoot the liar and he should fell into the spikes without you and then you wait for cutscene to end and go to right into the light.

i think that the shadow clone of yourself was trying to kill you all along so that he could be free. think about it. when you kill him, you become free. so maybe he was giving you the wrong controls and trying to make you touch the gems so you would die/not have a chance to kill him? idk

lol if you get the "trapped forever" ending you're able to back to get the other ending but if you get the "free" ending you stay on the ending screen the rest of the time you play. oh the irony...

great game u might want to check your coding for the jumping on spikes i noticed that if im on them a certain way it wont let me jump so i have to get off and jump again. just trying to help. keep up the good work :)

How to get the Second Ending:
At the level Deception, instead of going into the beam of light, just wait there for around 20 seconds, and it will vanish. Go further on and you will see 2 bullets. Pick those up. Go all the way to the right, with all the black blocks. Shoot a bullet at the yellow box and jump up. Continue further until the guy comes out of you. Go to the left and jump over the "Gems" and shoot the guy. He will die, and you will get your badge. +1 this so people stop asking

How to beat last level: Deception; stand at light (left of it) until it disappears, getting thinner and thinner. Go right, theres an invisible hole, the man says "see you can trust me". Collect both bullets/spikes and go far right; Have some fun:[theres a square block that has 2 colours, its 'default' orange colour and a black one, once it turns black (a little wait) jump and shoot at it](you can just shoot) and jump over the wall to go right, once you dont that your shadow appears. NOTE:if you miss the block first time, restart by diing, jumo into the gem or press 'space'. To kill the shadow, experiment jumping left and right until you can see it follows you. Go onto the platform next to the gems, jump into it and fire your bullets/spikes, as it 'pauses' you slightly. REMEMBER: once you shot the bullet/spike jump out of the way so you dont die too! This is a very well made game. The graphical style is pleasing, the puzzles are clever but not overly difficult, and the GLaDOS-esque commentary from the alter-ego had me laughing the whole way through.
If you're considering making an update or a sequel, I think you should replace "continue" with "level select" in the main menu. I enjoy finding alternate routes to finish the levels and accessing areas that you're not intended to be able to access. In the game's current state, I have to self destruct if I want to do a level again, and if I accidentally finish the level, I have to start from level 1. A level editor would be a nice feature as well. I would really enjoy making more challenging and skill testing levels.
Nice anagrams, 5 stars.

@Terrak it was edited after the badge came out. Das was the one who came up with it, then the badge was added. Later the game added that end.

Fun game, right up till the end. Having two very difficult, precision jump/throw combos back to back sucked. I have a hard time with that 3 key combo crap to begin with and exact timing made me wonder how bad I want that badge. At least there could have been a reset button in the final battle room so I only had to make the one tough combo a few hundred times to get the shadow me dead.

At first, I thought that the game would give me the option to eitherbelieve the guy or not. Then I saw it didn't, but I liked it anyways. Now I am at the final level, and it just tells me that "there must be anther way out", but i cant find any.

there is a hint in everything he says XD great game spent 27 min at the last part until i looked at comments.. lol and @Cryptics the spikes u cllect can be thrown by pressing "K" that is the hint and u can use/step on them to get to higher areas

Nice game. I like how you made the game interesting using the very few and simple game dynamics you had. Good level design, good encouragement to think outside the box. I stared at my mirror self for like 5 minutes before understanding what I had to do.

its very easy to tell what jump button is; he tells you to press space, ut if you read it carfully, you'll see that jumphas a a capital J.

1 - to go to the second ending, stay in the front of the light.Wait some seconds and it will turn off.Go forwards because there is a invisible place behind the light.
