THIS GAME WAS AWESOME!!!! Loved, loved, LOVED the ending... The clone? just wow.... so the voice all along was our own pessimistic self? cool. But, just out of curiosity, did anyone else think of GLADOS and Portal? "We regret to inform you that this next test is impossible." :) Can't wait for a sequel to Portal, or to Depict1!!!!

A little perplexing at times, but definitely excellently designed. Although I personally did not find it difficult, I found it clever, atmospheric, and very very fun. Unfortunately, Its understandable that if you can't figure out any of the potential parts where you could get very stuck, the game would be frustrating and impossible. But as an avid gamer who quickly figured out that 1) I was being lied to and 2) If its not the arrow keys, then it therefore must be wasd, I found the game massively enjoyable. I can only say 5/5 for awesome platforming bliss.

Alittle spoiler here. For those struggling with the second ending, at the face off with the dark part of yourself, use one spike to climb to the fight and keep the other. Dont throw it at the darkness as that wont work. Instead, have you noticed when your character throws a spike they float in the air for a second ;) darkness cant float. You can safely move out of the way after throwing it, back onto land.

Another lie:his name isn't an anagram for sad."Depict one" is an anagram for deception.
Which mean lie.
He isn't trying to protect you from "he".He IS "he".And "he" is after you.

Okay, for all people confused...
Jump= J
Self-Destruct= Space
Shoot Spikes= K
Gems kill you
Spikes can be used to climb up a wall
If you fall down a "bottomless pit", you start at the top on the screen
INVISIBLE WALLS ARE REAL!!!
+1 this comment to help other people!
Keep it alive!

+ To Help Others See : When you are able to fire the spikes, you can fire multiple spikes into each other. This creates a BRIDGE you can use to walk across pits and dangerous areas. + For Others to See!

Here's a walkthrough. I posted this link before, but it's pretty far back in the comments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXYzqRAv1mo

I see people talking about needing to be exact or get lucky during the final scene where (GAME SPOILER) you must shoot/kill the doppelganger. While there clearly is a bit of finesse and skill needed (though not much more than the rest of the game required) you do NOT have to time things perfectly so he falls into the gems while you're still in mid-air and milliseconds after you threw the spike or anything along those lines. When I jumped, I threw the spike and then just attempted to get to the other side by continuing in the trajectory I was already going. I successfully landed on the opposite side safely...and so did the doppelganger on the other side. Then I just walked in the direction necessary to make him walk into the chasm and fall. The cutscene with the game breaking up begins, then it transports you to the final "level" to finish the game. You do not need to concern yourself with perfection timing, just a basic grasp of the physics of the game and you're good. Hope this helps.

This game's best feature is the openness to the determination of its story. They say video games will never get you anywhere, but I definitely thought more about this game than I did most novels.

It's funny how 2 of the top rated comments are pointing out anagrams like it's some genius secret. The last level is called "deception" and at the end, the name rifles through a series of anagrams, ending with "poetic end."

For the 2nd ending, with the mirror, you have to do something that he can't. It's not obvious, but with some thought you'll figure it out

For the ending 2/2, once the screen starts breaking, the level name (Deception) randomly changes, and the last jumble of letters that appear before you go into the other part of the level is POETICEND...

If you're having trouble trying to finish the 2nd ending, it's important to remember that you can't move while shooting a spike

I love the fact that if anyone has a problem/dislike about a game, People just downrate it, Now kiddies, downrate this :l

When you destroy the boss and the screen begins to fall and the title of the room changes its name just at the end the title changes to "poetic end" ;)

For the boss fight:simply shoot a spike while jumping towards the boss. He will continue moving while you will freeze in midair and land on the gems.

For all you people who say "it's to hard" on a level, look at red bumps or lines, they will probably have or had somthing important about them. + so noobs will see, no offence :)
