too much luck based...I can see pattern and make obvious 2x or 3x combos, but then the CPU makes 6x with gems spawning...can't beat that...

RIP MochiGames ;_; oh how I wish someone would take this over and maybe make an online vs mode to go with it. Be like those mario puzzle games on SNES, yoshi's cookie and wario's woods and the like.

The Reshuffles are ALWAYS in the final boss' favor. I had whittled his final form down to fifteen health, had full health, and he got EIGHTEEN ATTACKS AND NINE SPECIAL ATTACKS IN ONE TURN.

If feels so bad when the AI ignore the obvious 7-gem match and instead do a 3-gem match in the corner of the screen and get a x6 combo

My favorite part was when the RNG RNGed the RNG and the RNG made some RNG RNG the RNG. Your psuedo-RNG sucks here man.

i always find it amusing looking at comments of people complaining about the rng of a game just because they are too big of a noob to beat a little garden snake. true this game does have luck involved but its a match three puzzle game with a turn based rpg twist so what do you expect. you also have to be a little strategic in your approach otherwise you will be giving the enemy to chance to destroy you easily. this game is a real gem among its kind for being creative and challenging and it feels so satisfying to beat the game at the end.

Boils down to how lucky you are.
Beat the boss at second try because I had more 4-rows and counters than he had heals...

No moves remaining every 5-6 turns. Always totally no moves already (even when i cheated with the right click pause. Made a shit energy move while full energy. Created a 4-tile for enemy to attack me. Extra turn ended with 4 combos. Died in the next turn because no heal available.
I think throughout my three rounds I only got to use the fist icon thrice.

Finally, I beat the boss. I didn't persist for any other reason other than the badge. It became quite clear that it was a matter of pure luck and painful grinding, so I pressed on. This is not just a bad game. It's a disrespectful one. Disrespectful towards our time, the skill and work of other creators, and the collective intelligence of our race. Sure, the art was nice. But it was clearly not play-tested or was released with the specific intention of ruining fine afternoons. The biggest fault lies with the genius who decided a badge of the day would be a cool idea in this ridiculous game that should have stayed forgotten 5 years ago.

An annoying timer for no real reason, luck-based battles, grind to do upgrades. Not a fun game for me. Used right-click on the game to 'pause' it so I could actually -look- at gems and possible combos, which the AI can do instantly.

If you rainbow into counter and get over 4-20, you can make the final boss deal over 500 damage to himself with each of his attacks next round.

The only reason I beat the octopus is that after many tries I had a briliant 6-move combo with 4 and 5-tile strings popping up everywhere.

Here's a tip for fighting the hentai tentacles.. Farm previous level and upgrade to the max. Then it should be easy ( If you're having problems, use this <<<<< )

>boss has twice my health
>boss deals twice my damage
>"use strategy!"
>boss matches 3, boss has a 6x-combo fall in from the top
Goddamn lazy developers, stop padding your game with bosses that must be retried until you get lucky.

On the third panel of the intro, the pink rabbit and the purple round-headed creature standing to the bottom-right of her look like Panini and Chowder.

The octopus powering up shouldn't cancel out my move if it's still in progress, especially since you can't control the order of what tiles are activated (i.e. it attacked him first, causing him to power up, before activating shield and counter, so I died on his first attack).

I gotta say, this is a pretty neat game. As Match-3 hybrids go, you can certainly do worse. Also, love the music. It reminds me of Paper Mario: TTYD, in all the best ways. Keep it up!

Every damn time I make a useless move because nothing I need is there, the new gems appearing are EXACTLY what that cheating slime dude needs to do yet another special attack. What kind of random luck bullshit is this game?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And then there's Ditko's defense.
99%? Seriously?
All he does is go for Shields and then attack. I had no effing chance.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Rage is counterable, you don't always receive the heals you should from gems, there is WAY too much luck involved and the time factor is BS.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Too much RNG. Can't continue to level skills even when the RNG won't let you win (ie, nothing beyond level 4 skills).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Having to wait 10 turns to get something to finish the opponent off because the game is almost entirely driven by the RNG is irritating, to say the least.

I was like: "Not sure why everyone is complaining about the Final Boss, he is even weaker than the fight before!?", but then: "Oh my f***ing god... :O"
LOL :)

WTF? Marcus (the Rhino) reduced my HP to 0 with an insane Combo in Turn 2, BUT I was still alive!! with 0 HP!! LOL. Obviously a bug.
(died a few rounds later when I was reduced to 0 again.)

The octopus takes way to much damage and has alot of HP. This boss seems excessive, it should be easier even with MAX upgrades.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
As you carefully pay attention how the game flows, you can see that every opponent likes to attack or energy attack you and if unable, proceeds to heal or rage. Using your enemies next move before his turn may sometimes force enemy to simply use counterattack or energy and therefore wastes a turn for your advantage. Good luck!

I have no idea what just happened, but i beat the octopus first try. one of the things that happened was an energy attack from the boss while i had 380% counter from a color clear. Dealt around 400 damage :p

I find that for the final boss, it's all right to skip your turn if you see that there is a row/column in which will likely give the opponent a Special attack/Damage the next Turn if you adjust it. Don't get greedy.
