When the game begins, I hit space each time to continue to the next screens like it says. On the screen with the okay button, solve button, and the suspects faces, if I hit space again it shows me the next screen with my current scores, then space bar again shows a screen that says "Oops! (with a kongregate icon) This game wasn't uploaded to kongregate and was probably stolen! Click the kongregate icon to go to the official site..."

Fun but there should be more to the game, A little more gameplay or story would make this a very fun game, as it is, it's a good logic puzzle but not much of a game in my opinion.

I really like this game. It doesn't have much depth, but it's an interesting way to spend 5 minutes. It keeps the short, nonpersistent feel of minesweeper while adding a layer of deduction and removing that annoying 'you lose instantly' mechanic that minesweeper has. All in all, I feel that this game is a great success. Bravo.

thanks guys, glad u enjoyed it! just a quick note from me: the reason there is no 'quick-solve' bonus is because a 'quick-solve' mostly involves luck by uncovering important clues early. much better to reward those who persist and solve the puzzle through deduction than luck (in the long run). and of course you start the game with a 1 in 6 chance of an instant win!

Scoring should emphasize solving the case as quickly as possible, and there should be something to make me want to play more than a few games. Add in some persistence from game to game and this is a 5-star.

something is very wrong here. Its a good idea, but like Minesweeper the numbers are supposed to say the number of adjacent cells that have objects in them, a cell that said 3 in it, i clicked all 8 cells around it and found 1.

A minor balance issue: you earn more money by using all of your time than you earn with the early-solve bonus. Since it's easy to eliminate some squares, and clues give from 5 to 25 dollars, searching for clues is going to generate more than the $3/square you're assuming with the time bonus.

Heh. For some strange reason, there was a pastor that was a convicted felon. Don't see those often lol. I give it a 5/5, because that really made my day.

Nice. Couple of things though. Would be nice to be able to flag squares you know are empty. Also I did have one game where I had two suspects with the exact same features and neither were eliminated by clues.

Upon starting a new game, the Friend, the Lover, and the Lawyer all looked identical. The first clue? The Spouse is paranoid.... No kidding!

I guessed the right murderer before looking at clues and only got 160 points, so it is better to use full time yes, because you can even get 200+ points if you guess the wrong one.

i think the scoring system is off.... i got a better score when i used all the time and didnt solve the case than when i solved the case after about 9 moves

Ingenious. You could add other things, but it's unnecessary. Like having 50 achievements, it's no fun when it's overcomplicated. One thing, when the name is large enough, you can end up accidentally selecting the wrong murderer, which is not fun when you happen to have got the right one, but happen to click the wrong one when the mouse is over the right one.

Brilliant! 5
Now make a sequel with multiplayer and some type of awards, if you want, or give someone else permission to do so if you don't want to.

you should let us be able to buy things with the money we win after solving a case, like more time etc.
Oh and btw, my first first post:P
