This is why Nerdook is one of my favorite designers right now: taking a simple yet original concept, he adds just enough charm, whimsy, and inventiveness to make a surprisingly deep yet fun, casual game. This game is probably my favorite of his yet.

I was about to not play this game, but then I saw it was by nerdook. I was about to ditch it but then one comment said it was like bongo boom.

Pretty fun game. Only improvements I would make would be to not cost anything to un-train someone and to show what the stat increases would be for the upgrades before you buy them.

By the way, if the interfaz is reworked a bit the game could be exported to iPhone... looks like developed to play using the fingers hehe

I actually loved this game. At first I was like "a Patapon ripoff, huh?" but after I played it for a while it became apparent that it was actually unique. The summoning was really interesting and the story mode was well made. I have the original Patapon and I can truly say that this actually competes with it. If you add some more features this will be one of if not THE best game on kongregate or any other flash site.

... Is the mercenary some kind of sick joke? I upgraded my legionairre to one (because I couldn't see the stats beforehand- something you might want to think about changing next time), and instantly I went from having a well defended and altogether pretty damn good band to one that got slaughtered instantly on the next story mission. I can understand an upgrade having different strengths but still being better, but the mercenary was, at best, not even an upgrade; and, in my opinion, one hell of a step down. Very good game though. Reminiscent of your other one, but I like that style.

the hats are mostly bugged is the only problem i can find in this game a 10% at speed up goes form 79 to 83???? and if u equip the fifteen percent still 83

From a strategy aspect, very similar to the game Patapon (in the way that the soldiers attack, move, and are commanded, obviously there's no rhythm aspect to this game). That said, its a very fun game, the usual Nerdook art style is here, and it has multiplayer! Another good game from a good developer.

Really wish my guys would walk in formation...when I'm in "quick march" my archers all run ahead of my legionnaire, and then when i reach an enemy they just stand out in front like idiots until the legionnaire eventually catches up

stupid game it's impossible to play when i press "play" before "start the game" and before "click to continue" he bug he say i am defeat and i lost ¬¬

@Snowguard OK FIRST OFF there's no such thing as a basilisk so don't throw a fit secondly between the like of 1AD and 500AD the legend of a bird like beast that was hatched by a reptile was born and it was called the basilisk it wasn't till later on in history(1500AD maybe) that the legend of a more snake-like beast known as the basilisk come about so either in any kind of exaggeration would be a fine representation of the beast.
Also I'd like to throw in that the game was awesome 4/5 only because its hard to get enough gold for the big upgrades as the amount you get never increases through the game.
