Hmmm, finding enemies is arbitrary, upgrades don't last, are expensive, and do little, your allies can't be healed and don't retain upgrades purchased, and there's no way to replay things and get stronger. Basically, if you mess up, you start over. 2/5

The thing I don't like about this game is that if you make the wrong upgrade decisions, you are screwed and it's literally impossible to beat the other levels. Considering the attacking, dodging, etc is automatic, even if you're a master at this game the decisions still effect your progression.

Well, just to see if I could do it: you can defeat nightmare mode without multi-strike (though its pretty hard). You can collect over a 1000 silver if you really try, and you can beat normal mode with out spending an XP except to buy companions.

"Ok guys, if you're stuck in a region you won't be able to get any extra silver or experience" "Bu-.. but how should we beat the shogun then?" "Restart entirely, I don't care about your problems"

Hah, beat my high score. Got it up to 634,750. Turns out the value of remaining clicks increases the more you have. I don't think I can top that value. I claim this game conquered

high score 588,500 points. Did it on nightmare. Trick is to complete each level with the most amount of clicks remaining each level and making sure you get the full multiplier.

lol when u reset the campaign u see the Samurai near a white tree and when you click the button he stabs himself and dies. EPIC

I love you nerdook. I am always actively seeking out your games because they are always amazing! I tip my hat to you, Sir.
P.S. I have added to your tip jar so you may continue making more great games!

At the very least you could have game the player unlimited clicks within any given province. This would have been a great option and you STILL wouldnt have enough xp to get even remotely close to all the upgrades or character level ups. The provinces would have been more tactical than anything, making the player have to choose carefully when to heal and when to fight. But nope, you made a limited number of moves that are only 1/6 the total number of boxes in the province to make the game terrible. Thanks for that.

Great concept for a game, but is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY destroyed by limited moves within a province, and the fact that you are unable to farm, even a little bit. Seriously, Nerdook, I have no idea what you were thinking. These additions to the game do not add to the overall gameplay in the slightest. You pretty much just put them there to piss everyone off by limiting your game to 1/10 of its potential. Make a sequel and fix this piece of trash. 1 star. Would go less If I could.

I love minesweeper and mamono sweeper and that clues/detective sweeper game where you solve murdeers are far superior to this shit.

This game is the first game ive ever encountered which made minesweeper look like the pinnacle of gaming. God damn this game sucked. 1 star. After 2 daimos you die no matter what. ****ing bad.

some games back nerdook became my favorite developer of internet site games. nerdook did that with his sublime game characters, humor and his style.

normal is easy i just got the brute and samurai and buffed them up. upgrades (focus chakra, horse killer) then saved my coin for final battle and got lots of exp by beating each diamyo b4 10 turns

Well, once you've understood the star-multiplicator-number-of-clicks-left-superior-to-ten-thing exp bonus, it's very easy to send M. Shogun back in his own wrong-game-strategy hell.

What really irritates me is that the health can't be restored on the companions. Other than that, it's an excellent games.

Upgrades are not permanent. Is the third time that I buy "Arrow slash" and that show yet like I don't bought it. (Sorry for my bad english)

The stars in the bottom double up your score. If you have 4+ moves left you will get +30 XP. If you have 11+ moves left you will get 33+[3X(Moves above 11)]. Go for multi heros early on and do the cheap upgrades. Buy the perk that lest your heros regain 50HP every move and then the Chakura one. Keep in mind that the more you kill the less you have to fight when fighting the boss. On the main map avoid the spots that give enemies faster attack until later on.

BetaDuck its not possible to uncover every tile in the map. you dont have enough clicks. you have to land on the footprint (unless you bought the upgrade) or the Daimyo for it to show up. its not like a rice field or something.

For those having trouble, the strategy that worked for me was using exp only to upgrade my samurai and then using the last 10 exp to hire the Brute.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i like it but i dont think one should lose their upgrades if they die, or the cash and things they have already accumulated

Interesting game, would of loved to be able to play past provinces to gain more exp or gold. The game glitched on me and would only let me play one province then game me a loading screen that I couldn't get out of. Had to refresh my browser. (this only happened the second time I played today)

not so good...normal mode, archer, brute, samurai - can't beat the seventh Daimyo, can't get exp points if can't win, and silver coins are what for? this game is not complete, need fixes (n)
