lmfao i placed lots of nailguns guys in a line and they killed all hunters except one, and this hunter killed all my nailguns guys.... lol

For day 5, make 2 walls of 10 flaregunners, then add 3-4 flamers and 2-3 imploders on wave 11(depending on your money), then add to them until you have ~5 flamers and 5 imploders(use #1 when you're having trouble). Then add about 5 beam gunners(when you have <5 place them at the edges in an X shaped firing lane). On the final wave use #3 to help do some extra damage to the hunters, #4 for a lot of damage and #1 extensively each time the wall of hunters gets too close.

My suggestions for the hard badge are: Do days 1 and 2 on hard(easy enough), do day 3 on easy or normal, then days 4 and 5 on hard. For day 4 use power #2 for the first wave, #3 for waves 2-9, #4 on wave 10(try to pop it as late as possible), then for waves 11-15 use #3 again(with #1 if you're having trouble). For waves 15/16-19 use #3 till the infested are almost at the ship, then use #4. Finally for wave 20 use #3 and #4 then hold them off with #1 while the cooldown is reduced.

What irritates me is that tiny area at the left corner that you can't put any men at, but enemies can still run through it.

Why didn't i get the hard badge for passing level 4 without gunners? I did all the level, its 20 waves without using any man, only support abilities, but i don't won the badge. What can i do? I can't report missing achiev because i doesn't have any print or what, is impossible, after you finish the game, nothing indicate you did it :S Any ideas?

Uhhh, for the badge, why is it saying I haven't got any flamegunner kills when I clearly have more than 80 in the 2nd day?

I like the "point this guy in this direction so his cone of fire covers this area" feature at first, but as has been pointed out, it's kind of stupid to think a guy desperate for his and his buddy's lives wouldn't turn and shoot a monster eating his friend's face.
And these guys aren't disciplined soldiers, they're civilians!

@Everyone asking for turrets, towers etc; that would be pretty stupid considering it's a game about a crashed ship, with survivors who don't even have access to real guns, but they can find time/access to gun turrets....

I'm usually a patient, level-headed individual. Why then do I find myself screaming, "I hate you, you stupid alien things!!!?" This game is definitely very bad for my health.

I notice nobody wants to rate this game on what it IS, only on how cool it COULD be if it had more depth. Long story short, the lack of depth and dynamic gameplay and ability to view ranges HURT the games score, not make it a perfect 5/5, sorry. Simple logic.

It would be cool if the "see all ranges" feature could be color coded, i.e., each type of unit has a certain color for its range. Because when you start having many units, it's nearly impossible to tell wether your fuel launchers have the entire field covered, or wether your flamethrowers have your people protected, or things like that, because all the ranges merge into a big, white space. + if you agree.

Here's a tip for the later levels for getting the Tools of the Trade Badge: avoid using repulsor, it's a crutch that usually ends up costing more than it's worth. Do a Beam Surge just before the first enemies reach your ship, then when that's almost over, call in the Sentinel to clean up the rest. For the last level where they keep coming too strong for your Sentinel, focus the Sentinel on the bursters, not the infected, and do another Beam Surge ASAP. This will let you win pretty easily.
By the way, on the first level, you can just use a Sentry, on the rest use Sentinel and Beam Surge as needed. Your overall money will be going down each round until there's about 40 enemies and you get more money than the 150 you spent on the Sentinel, but it's ok.

Now I'm done with the badges. Thanks for the answer, Nightmarez. I actually only beat the last level on hard (I had already beaten the other 4 on that difficulty) and it awarded me the medium badge. And thanks for the game, nicotuason. I wish it lasted longer, but it was a fun play.

To get the medium badge you need to complete all 5 days in one playthrough (don't return to main menu after a level). This can be done on any difficulty.

Good game with a lot of room for improvements. Currently its a 3/5 for me: After all, they are engineers and should be able to build trenches, bunkers etc. The map also needs to be more dynamic and not just a wide open field. The ranges need some sort of color code or likewise, otherwise its practically impossible to see who shoots where. A thought is different tech trees with for example master constructions, gun specialists, elite supports etc.
Its a great starting point, but hopefully the final product is still far away.

Great game. It's fast-paced, especially for a defence game, and there aren't annoyingly many waves which just grate on your patience. More statistics would be nice, like kills the last wave (rather than the entire day), and damage dealt.
