The badge is definitely possible and also super easy with the Hypersonic Tack Shooter glitch. That's just crazy. Hard badge? Not any more!

For anyone still playing this game, it IS not impossible to get the hard badge without the glitch. The idea is keeping an equal amount of towers countering the left and right waves. Don't be afraid to spike a lot in the early levels, and later, against the black bloons. 1) Start the game with one cannon in the top right corner of the crossroad. 2) Build two dart towers near the bottom of the screen. Range upgrade them, trust me, it's worth it if you place them properly. 3) Make four unupgraded tack towers in corners. 4) Add a second cannon by the crossroads. 5) Build two boomerang towers, one in the top right area, the other one in the crossroad area. Both need to get the multi hit upgrade. 5) By this time, just keep adding unupgraded cannons and multi hit boomerangs to the mix. Remember to place 1 cannon per side near the entrance so that you can quickly eliminate lead bloons. I beat the game with 42 lives left, only because I left an easy yellow bloon get through.

To gain any badge on this game with no effort whatsoever build a tack shooter at the earliest possible crossroads on the level. Use the TAB key to select faster shooting and hold down the ENTER key for a minute or so. Your money will run into the negatives, and appear to be rapidly increasing. Start the wave, and now your single tack shooter is strong enough by itself to beat level 50 on Hard without letting a single Bloon through =)

kingdom rush is over rated. its only liked because its the top game and that makes people feel its good ive always liked this game because it gives you a happy feeling with the bloons popping

I got the hard badge with 4 tack shooters and 2 cannons only. :)

Oh so easy hard badge, hypersonic tacks X4, two at crossroad, one at each entrance, plus 4 rockets at both entrances, done, with 20k cash left over LMAO :)

If you guys are looking for more characters/monkey/more buttons and dudes and stuff, just play BTD4 or BTD3, Ninjakiwi wouldn't go back and edit old versions, would he?

I really liked the first game; this, unfortunately, was a big step backward. It's just way too easy to lose. Even on the Easy level, you can be cruising for a long time only to get destroyed on one level. It took *forever* just to find a working strategy on Easy. (Basically: get those tack throwers in ASAP, strike a good balance between boomerang throwers and cannons [you *will* need all three, trust me], and basically cram the board with as much firepower as inhumanly possible at all times.) I don't even want to think about what the higher difficulties are like. I'm glad that I stuck it out, but I'm not returning to this one. 2/5

rofl, it froze and forced my browser to restart.... how did this get badges :< ... I had 1 spike tower (spikes in eight directions) and two cannons. on easy mode map.

Warning! There is a glitch that makes getting the last badge pretty much impossible. Copypasta this to keep it alive! You CANNOT fully upgrade your towers by using the mouse. You have to use the keyboard keys. Use the TAB button to select the upgrade and use ENTER to take it. WARNING: It will let you spend money on upgrades beyond the max using this trick. So to keep you from losing cash, here are the maxes: ALL range upgrades cap at 2 upgrades, anything more will not be reached Dart Pierce is a single upgrade extra levels do nothing. Cannon bigger explosion is a single upgrade extra levels do nothing. Neither the Boomerang or Super Monkey can go beyond their 1st level upgrades. And last but not least: Tacks can be upgraded all the way to HYPERSONIC. LAST WARNING: Hypersonic on the tack shooters is, imo, TOO fast. I personally feel it makes even hard WAY TOO EASY. Use at your own "risk". If you want a real challenge do it without hypersonic

Much better than the original. Sure, I said that the original needed unlockables, but this has 8 towers to place, compared to the original's 5. This one not only introduced multiple maps (with each one having a specific difficulty), but it introduced, in no particular order, the Road Spikes, Monkey Glue, and Boomerang Thrower.
