I remember playing this 3 years ago when I was still a kid. This game was so epic and the most underrated game on Kongregate.
It still is.

and btw is there so bs reason why health and mana have a cap? because later my punny shitty little 250 mana and hp do nothing to keep me alive for even 5 turns

at some point you are at a stand still as a mage of Dark woods if you fight the black robes because they will ALWAYS have either have more mana,health or basic spells and NO MATTER how early you max ou basic spell and damage amount they will beat you, they are basically invincible gods in fact

wowe game-wide you have to be uber clarivoyant or you will die at the very least about 50 times in the beggining hald alone

My save games suddenly disappeared. I had just achieved #1 status in Book of Mages (Ranking). Anyone else have this problem?

anyone else ever the problem of not being able to defend low ever in a fight? i have a fight that i can't win because for some reason i cannot use either low defense bolts or additional low attack bolts AT ALL. infuriating.

Clans:
Burning Hill - AP Focus, Increase Special. Fastest way to unblockable, huge attacks. Mana Guzzler.
Chaos Desert - Bolt Focus, Special Burn, Repeat Hi/Lo. Burning their special keeps you ahead on bolts, but you cap +5 ATK bolts.
Dark Wood - Increase Special, Health Swap, and Flat Damage. Quick and easy.
Poison Water - Poison, Paralysis, and an instakill. Needs lots of stacks to trigger. Takes a little more time.
Great Sea - Best Defense, Combo-Counter. Caps +5 DEF bolts, bleed mana, and you stall your opponent.
Ice Land - Freeze Attack, Freeze Defend, Instakill. Your opponent can't do anything. Need tons of mana, and tons of stacks for the kill, but the stacks reduce defensive bolts.

awesome game but only 4/5 because it keeps crashing in battle and I lose data but add an auto save and then it will be a 5/5

2nd run and all the badges in one ! ... i mastered this ! good games i gave 4 stars because its innovative due to the story and either RPG and gameplay, BUT 1 star lose for the fact that the game is pretty long to play when you have to battle at the arena or wondering into town for random encounter just to get reputation and sometimes great power's items.
[SPOILER] In you want to finish the game entirely you have 3 endings
1- stay neutral be rank 1 and becomes great mages (you can also win the contest with a good strategy ^^)
2- be white robe and become white mage ... (i don't spoil more)
3- be black raobe and (i didn't make this one so i guess) become black robe... (after that i let you see what happen)

Great game, love the combat system (no element of chance! Yay!). Only one complaint: the grammar on.. well, basically all of the text longer than five words is awful! Sorry dev, but it really is. That drops this otherwise awesome game, in my opinion, from 5/5 to 3/5. Maybe if it got corrected...?

i would suggest if you did make a sequal to try making it multiplayer, i would have lots of fun being able to level up and fight agianst other people on this game, maybe not the entire story based on multiplayer, but a multiplayer option of some sort haha

I end up replaying this game every month at least once, just because it's so addicting and the replayability value is amazing. I just hope for a sequel.

Poison wather is op, u upgrade poison wave on max and get paralise, then you just use over and over both of them, they cant even hit you as long as you got mana to use it and if you get 40 points then you can just instakill he ._.

Justpoint his out Witchthorn can be prevented from becoming a black robe if you do his event n the woods as a white mage then go back to convince him not to drink the posion

I really enjoyed this game, and wish for a part 2, I suggest the developer to make sure that the next one is much harder than the first one.

I am at level 155 and I just beat a level 70 mage named Wavepuke who was somehow higher in rank than me, even though the last one was 140. I think his name got him through 30 ranks.

God, I wish the guy/guys would make a sequel to this soon. It pains me to see something good die so soon while bad stuff gets like 7 more sequels.
