um y do you end the game. if you were so idiotic to make a game with everything and just end it, you would get a 1/2 star rating for the cut off progress

I seem to be missing something. There is nowhere I can go, there is nothing to explore, there is no one to fight in the arena, and none of the characters seem to say anything to point me in the right direction. What have I missed? Some direction would be much appreciated, as I've clicked on everything.

I know that my rival leaving in the middle of the final White Robes meeting is supposed to be dramatic... but the fact that the guy who tried to stop him was named WAVEPUKE ruined the moment, and made it hilarious.

@Kubbaa and @phamen, with dark wood you can beat every single fight. Yep, even the assassin before the mage contest, which is something I couldn't do with either chaos desert or my favorite Ice water. And it was without the infinite stat points glitch. Also, repeating my previous comment: Go to dark wood wilderness around 217 for the most op item in the game.

Not to mention the inevitable battle with the guy who no matter what I did I would lose. Having no possible way to win doesn't make the game better or any more fun. :/

It got to a point where I just had to give up because it seemed like the opponent actually had had 5-6 more months to train then me. :/

I think, that when you are neutral and you have to decide if you want to KILL or just deafeat leaders of Black Robes and White Robes, you should be able to hear what they can offer you before you will be forced to decide,

This game is awesome. At first the graphics look terrible and the combat system looks weird but once you get used to it it makes a terrific entertainment.

Mm.. I done poison water and all I do is poison wave and poison paralyze. If you have a lot of mana it is impossible for a opponent to win. I mean if you have 10 health they have 300 you would still win if you keep using it

i have beaten the game with every clan and here is my list of the best to worst clans 1. chaos desert tons of damage increasing spells and stuff like that 2. great sea requires tons of mana but very strong 3. burning hill very strong but bad defense. note the first three are significantly stronger than the last three 4. dark wood overall pretty good but nothing that makes them stand out 5. poison water alright but only clan specialties are involving poison which takes time to kill 6. ice land basically the same as poison water except not poison ice and the ice doesn't kill like the poison does it just makes your opponent defenses worse.

in book of mages: the dark times, im not sure if its a glitch or not, if you go to the training grounds then hit tab until you reach the mana cave then hold enter you can gain thousands of skill points. i believe this can take away from the game value. could you fix this? + please so he can see

@PHAIOL
Good point. But for rational players it will never come to that, because Chaotic Desert Mage has remove effect. Here's a partial excerpt from my not completed guide....
You might think your mana leak gives you advantages for a mana dual. But the fact is the other way around. You spend 30 mana for 20 mana leak, and next round your opponent can remove effect. Then your opponent only loose 20 mana in total, so you lose more. Of course this cannot goes on forever, as the CDM has limited hp.
It boils down to a match between mana of GOM and hp of CDM, 30mana for 20mana+40hp. In most cases Great Ocean mage has an advantages, unless the two mages have a really weird initial status (say both start with 2000 hp and 400 mana, then CDM wins).

Wow, lots of details, simple yet great storyline that keeps you entertained. I played a neutral mage and the dialogues, his impetious behaviour suited me just fine! Wish you could add an journal ingame which keeps track with NPCs in particular cos' I couldn't remember their place in the story, especially at the end of the game which is epic btw from a neutral perspective. It would be awesome if the relation with some mages had a real impact on the game? Hope to see allies battling with us in the future... and more girls(sexism? :3). Keep this alive, folks: We want a sequel with female magic practicioners! (and some interactions with non-magic creatures like soldiers or monsters)

Each clan is cool but the great sea can really do some damage if used right e.g. then asorb damage have extra shields and bolts then combine all of that power into one attack which usally finishes off anyone, and doesn't require a high power level since its all combined
