awesome. A few bugs, just random mixed up chats, but otherwise amazing and totally worth playing. just remember to explore EVERY month or so.

The easiest way to earn all three badges is to pick the Burning Hill clan. First max out the high and low attack and defense. Then invest into the additional bolts. Remember to spend most of your skill points in mana and damage. Then get the combined attack spell, the mana shield spell and the attack power spell. The combined attack will usually deleiver between 200-400 damage, almost always a instant kill. The mana shield is useful becuase you will already have alot of mana and mana sheield makes it possible to win without upgrading the health alot.

To some of those who believe divyansh982 cheat doesn't work. Actually if you press tab in a training ground a yellow rectangle will appear around the save button. Keep on pressing tab until the yellow rectangle is around the mana cave button. Press enter (Or return as it's labeled on a keyboard.) anyway press enter as many time's as you want and only a month will pass when your done.

I think it's awesome that I ranked #2 in the Young Mage Contest and ended up as the Great Mage. All hail my neutrality! No kills.

For everyone who keeps saying this game needs a sequel.. Technically this IS the sequel. Book of Mages came first, then came Book of Mages Dark Times.

Well, congratulations, you destroyed my arguments on Great Sea and Ice Land.
But Paralysis + Poisonous Wave can be counteracted by Burning Hill and Chaos Desert, both of whom have Remove Effects.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The problem with removing the effects are that the effect stacks can be reapplied the next turn making the removal an invalid counter.
It is true that burning hill and chaos desert easily overwhelm poison water with sheer power and bolts respectively, thus it is only wise to spam poison wave + paralyse. (It is actually 11 dmg every 2 turns, since after the turn that poison wave is applied, it deals 10 damage, then 1 damage after paralysis is used. Yes, it is a slow win, but burning hill and chaos desert can't counter.) (no point stacking the poison effect, since they can just remove it at a relatively low cost)
Playing against your own race is really stupid, as only the higher level magic spells affect the outcome. (effects cancel each other if both mages have the same effects)
Ok, time to stop posting paragraphs.

@Ramik27
Any "smart" poison water mage won't even use paralysis against ice land, great sea and dark wood, simply due to their inability to stop 4 poison wave + poison death combo (11 turns). The poison wave is not for damage but for setting up instant kill. Ice land won't even get enough time to stop this combo even with freeze defend + freeze death. 30 + 30 + 80 special ( total cost of combo) is 14 turns (>11). Sure, dark wood can stall the poison wave + death combo for 1-3 turns with silence, but they can't stop poisoned death. Great sea can only drain 40 mana per turn, which if we consider end game scenarios, it's almost unnoticeable. Poison water don't even need to attack, invalidating great sea's potential (absorb dmg, additional defensive bolts). Paralysis is just a good support spell.

And Ice Water has freeze defend, which takes away about one hundred health points each time. Sure, they lose special, but if they wait until they have 100 special then in the next round they have 80, so... they lose nothing.
Forty rounds to kill them with poison. Only works on two of the clans, unless they beat you first, which they have the magic to do.
This is why the game is good. No one clan is superior to any other. They all specialize in an area that they are the best in. A member from any clan can rise in the ranks. Each clan is the most powerful in their own way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes, but the character that we play ALWAYS goes first. Also, paralysis takes away 9 points of poisonous wave, so it would take 40 rounds to get them up to poisoned death.
Dark Fire clan can silence their ability to use special and then poisonous wave cannot be used. Furthermore, trade life can not only undo all of the damage you've been doing, but also nearly kill you. you have to beat Dark Fire Mages quickly if they know how to use magic. This is simple for Chaos, Great Sea (absorb damage), Burning Hill, and Ice Water (freeze Defend), but your method, as I've explained, would be very slow. You've also admitted that HALF of the clans can remove the effects, and other poison mages can negate the effects of your poison by poisoning you. Great sea drains your mana twice as fast as you drain their health, are you really going to take the chance that you'll keep up your mana for 40 rounds when they aren't taking away from your mana bolts?

Poison water isn't invincible, but they can surely beat the other 5 classes.
This is due to poisonous wave + paralysis + poisoned death.
Great sea, ice land and dark woods don't have the mechanisms to counter the poisonous wave and ice land have to last a long time before freeze death can be used.
The other two races can remove poisonous wave, but don't have the ability* to cancel out the poison water paralysis spam.
*Ultimately, the only way chaos desert beats poison water is IF chaos desert goes first (and attack with additional bolts + decrease special), otherwise poison water can still use poisonous wave + paralysis kill. Burning hill can deal lots of initial damage (when casting increase special + combined attack) but will still lose to poisonous wave + paralysis kill.

Being a horrible person who joins the white robes can allow you to get a basic power level of fifteen. Power orb + damaging orb + High Mage Staff + white mage talisman.
You can also get two extra defensive bolts. Great Sea Orb + Book of White Magic.

This game is freakin' awesome! The combat is innovative. Easy to learn, hard to master. The RP is spot on. The social dynamics are well done and interesting. Very impressive all around! 5/5 easily. If you aren't making a sequel you should reconsider!!!
xD

Poison water isn't invincible - they can still use a turn when you apply Poison Wave. I reccomend Chaos Desert - overwhelm them initially with the extra Bolts, then apply Special Decrease to prevent them from recovering. Finally launch Burning bolts to kill them (150 damage per bolt...) :D

Didn't realize how powerful poison water actually was. Originally played as Great Sea and Chaos Desert and just sort of stomped all of the poison water magi, but when i went and played as poison water it's so easy to win once you unlock the poison wave and paralysis - as long as you don't run out of mana you can defeat anyone :L

Decided to play evil character. And even thou it's just a game, I felt uncomfortable killing defenseless old man.
P. S. Chaos desert, Additional Bolts + Burning = Killer combo. Literally.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Chaos mage is very strong if you put all points into bolts then put it into special decress then your foes no matter if they have very high mana it makes them very weak becuase they can not cast strong spells to defeat you + if this helps 5/5 for this game FAV and playlist.

Poison water = invincible. Get tons of mana last until 40 special then cycle poison wave and paralysis. Slow kill but makes you take no hits.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The only recommendation would be to increase the caps for the amount of bolts fired. The second half of the game can take quite a while without the right special skill for every situation, and plus, I want to be able to fir 100 bolts at once. :D

2 things - if you make your name 'battlebeard', you end up no.1 at the start of the game ;)
also, even though everyone seems to think desert is the best, I think red fire clan is better. if you skill increase special, both 'AP's and combined bolt, you can win any battle in 5 turns (4 after you become no.1). just use increase special until you can use all your skills, then alternate between APs. this increases your power infinitely until you have enough to kill anyone, even the secret boss.

Becoming Great Mage doesn't deserve a hard badge. There should be an impossible badge for discovering all titles and items, and therefore discovering the god mode cheat.

Name: Cesar
Clan: Poison Water
Side: white
Position: GREAT MAGE
Book Of Mages Ranking: 1
Fame: Legend (462)
Reputation: God (234)
total score:2948.
Where do I compare this score with other people?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm pretty sure Mages of the Great Sea may be the strongest- even more powerful than Chaos Desert and Burning Hill. This is because of their absorb damage special. 1 hits all Chaos Desert + Burning Hill enemies which includes the Hermit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The control the Dark Woods playstyle gives is incredible when compared with other classes. Trade life and Silence are very strong skills, and I have used them to manipulate my own lifepoints and the lifepoints of the enemy. Combined with the ability to reduce damage, this class is just suberb in staying alive. The only class that is even remotely close to beating my playstyle was the Burning Hills class, because they are able to remove my damage reduction effect on them. If I just prevent them from doing that, it's an auto-win against pretty much anyone. Did not even need defensive bolts at all. I started with maxing the 2 offensive bolts, and the first 2 skills I learned were the 5 extra offensive bolts (high and low). I slowly leveled the damage reduction skill as I progressed and the damage of opponents became higher. The 3rd and 4th Higher level magic that I learned were Increase Offensive Power and Combine Bolts. Loved the game for sure.

It seems to me that Chaos Desert mages are by far the strongest. Extra bolts+multiplying damage=oneshot anything, and reducing the enemys special can really cripple them. Haven't tried every playstyle yet, though.
