Control set-up is absolutely horrible and requires either an uncomfortable keyboard position with cramped handpositioning or moving your hands around to hit the hot-keys. I'd give this a -5 if I could.

i have flail with +7 ad +4 finesse and a ring with +4 and +4 finesse, so that should be +19 but the char screen says i only have +11???

This isn't worth it for the badge of the day. 2 hours and I still haven't finished the campaign. The darwin mode doesn't level without finishing the campaign.

I am the great undead lord of cheap gameplay! I shall spend all my points in bonus experience and heal, and then jump up and down and kill bosses with my level 1 fireball pointed straight down... and heal myself to full every 4 seconds! Behold my awesome awesomeness!

It appears that starviv hasn't played past the 1st level =P. They force you to take charge and fireball to teach you how to use spells and abilities. I do agree it would be nice to push 1 button for skills.

boring , can't reset skills, can't even choose which skills to put skill points in even if we unlocked it on the tree, key combinations for attacks and yea not really a good chance of getting the hard badge in one day :P

Needs to be something that you can do with items that you don't use anymore, either sell em or just get rid of them or something.

I'm having issues where I'm attacking, and if I move, I instantly stop attacking. It's REALLY getting annoying, I'm dying on EASY MODE. IN THE FOURTH LEVEL. I used to be able to play exactly like I am now on the same computer, and my character was level 50 something, I'd beaten EVERY level too!

WTF is the health key... the intro levels vomit random info to the point I didnt read any of it... seriously... just arrows keys and attack keys... simplify!!!

@lollerz: Please, you should know that Newton law clearly states that all Forces are half of an interaction except for Tomahawks which are the only object capable of moving only on two dimensions, furthermore, the Tomahawk law, as explained by Nicolay Tomahawk in 1845 clearly proves that Tomahawks are in fact not only not affected by gravity but totally unable to change it's acceleration.

I don't like the ambiguous health bar. I don't like that the "magic" could all be casted together. That's fine, but if there's no penatly, I would like my heal to be used automatically. I also want to hold down the attack button when a peon is attacking. I would also like to see more of the battlefield. And the map seems pointless to me. I hope there is some reason that it is there and not just a level select box. And I'm not finding items but I'm getting them? And basically so far has been very generic fighting. Why is this game a 4? I'm thinking like a 2.

This is a great concept and I usually love games like this, but the controls are kind of ill-placed for a human hand on a keyboard. Also the idea of key combinations to perform certain moves is very 90's arcade and tiresome to both remember and do. True, enough play would probably drill the key combination information in your head but I don't think I want to give up brain space for that.

The essence of the game isn't to mash attack Ilkugar? Why would you want to kill less efficiently than the game allows? I've tried using combos for over an hour, wasted skill points on the useless magic attribute, and it's obvious which way of playing is more efficient. I played this game when the badges first came out too and didn't bother back then. NOT going to bother this time around.

I played this game 3 years ago when it came out and loved it, the essence of the game is to kill via combos, not to mash spacebar and kill things that way (of course thats going to be boring). Unfortunately I lost my saved char but I'm content to play it again. Just level up the combat skills and try to string combos together

The key controls are not great layout, enemies run away faster than my attack takes to initiate, it's repetitive and repeat that for about 80 times over 3 hours. Before you get to seriously do that badge of the day, FK.

I'm just going to say it: This game IS NOT GREAT. I can't even hold spacebar to auto attack, I'm forced to keep mashing my keyboard for it to do the same thing over and over again. Simple things that are in most good games that have similar elements are completely missing: No reset of skill points or talents, no auto-fire, can't change the awkward controls, useless inventory. Both gameplay and items are constant and repetatvie throughout the entire game, the skills are almost not even worth using other than the heal since they tend to miss/ not catch up/ go through without hitting, or do less damage per second than the simple regular attack. And if you decide they're not worth it and want to put your points into something else... well you can't. I can't understand how this is rated over a 4.
