got overwhelmed way too easily, there should be some downtime before each wave instead of getting so far and then getting immediately destroyed by weird blue ships that have double shots.

"But the adventures of the two artificial intelligence and a powerful weapon are a story for another time." -I think the time has come. Sequel please! 5/5

the beginning is by far the hardest part of the game. once you upgrade your gun to max and have 4 fighter bays it becomes very very easy.

'We conquered the stars and used force whenever peace wasn't possible. Now that a whole bunch of sentient groups from other planets are getting around to driving us back we have to save the day by using an artefact called the World Destroyer.' Something tells me humans aren't the heroes in this story...

To follow the storyline way easier, right click on screen when a message appear, it "pause" the game, giving you the time to read.

Hard to read font + text scroll that player can't control. It's as if devs didn't want us to read their story. But with all seriousness: please add the function for players to "turn the page". Everyone reads at their own pace. Some of them are not native speakers, some have RL interruptions, some have trouble reading fast.

"Captain, we have incoming from the medium badge section of space." "What...what is it Lieutenant? I've never seen something so random!" "It appears to be an obscure music reference, sir." "But...related to...?" "Oh, our death metal databases are bringing something up. Oh my god...it's...CHILDREN OF BODOM!!" ~Ship crew all begin to synchronously mosh and headbang~

Really like the style of the game, but it has some flaws. Wish there was some kind of "next wave"-button, so you didn't have to wait so much. Also some upgrade to make the fighters smarter. A lot of the fighting seems to take place off screen, or at the edge, as well, which isn't very fun. Really nice idea but not so good execution.

Checkpoints shouldn't be saved upon death, also. It should restore the game to the last wave you completed alive, because what a drag to start over from the beginning.

So this game is just you shooting at a bunch of red arrows on the right side of the screen? I got the badge, but oh boy this is really lame.

I can't get past chapter 8 due to a bug.
A popup window relating to flash settings will open up at the end of it, and nothing can be done to close it to regain control of the game (it even ignores the tab key).
Even though I've made it to chapter 9, if I refresh the page I'll be back at the start of chapter 8.

One of the best games and story on Kongregate. It has action, good graphics, replayability and it's free!! I just wish the developer would have finished the sequel. Truely a fantastic game that keeps you involved, thinking and planning every minute.

This game would be so much easier and better if you could tell individual turrets what you want them to prioritize. I'm so tired of my forward flak cannons turning backwards to shoot at one tiny ship at the edge of their rear range, instead of annihiliating the incoming meteors like they were designed to.
Additionally, as others have said, it would be nice if we could pause to read text, or if it were otherwise more accessible.

Ok. The problem is the Cinematic Mode. I tried switching between it and the normal mode, enemy firing range is calculated in pixels and does not take into account the larger number of pixels in the larger playing field. When in normal mode enemy fires from a far greater distance. In Cinematic Mode anyone can triumph at hard.

This is far too easy. Enemy fighter and turret firing range have been reduced far too much. I've played an earlier version before that was much more challenging. This time I could max the ultragun upgrades before getting or needing any repair upgrades. Maybe it's the cinematic mode, if the game calculates ranges in pixels and a fullscreen game has a lot more pixels than a small window. Haven't experimented on this yet.
Just made the all time best highscore on hard.

Great game!!!! I really wasn't expecting it to be this LONG!!
Just died on the final chapter boss and need to take a break. Gonna be hearing that enemy siren in my dreams for weeks....

How to get hard badge: Don't bother with turrets. You need only hangars, main gun and repair bots. First buy all hangars with +1 fighter upgrade and +1 damage upgrade, then max out main gun damage and fire rate. Spend some points during this in repair bots to keep full health. Then max out fighers amount and damage (fighter fire rate is useless), then max out repair bots. With this hard badge is easy trip. + to keep alive.

This is a fantastic game, and I would love to see a sequel with a few tweaks. Thanks for the fun mechanics and engaging story.

just read his profile 2nd game coming soon. his words " i’m in the process of planning Orbital Decay 2. hopefully, i’ll start working on it starting from july. it will be 3D, most likely Unity…and…it’s NOT going to be a Homeworld clone :) hopefully, it will even be finished in a couple of months"
