I protected the whole family and when i died, they all eventually moved on, but the little girl was last to leave. When i let everyone die but the girl, she stayed by me and got buried in snow with me.

I got the forever immortal ending and I thought I just died and had to restart so there goes like 5 minutes, but now I get to play it again, which is a big plus

Tank soldier: "Commander, we need bullets for the tank to shoot down an alien and the family protecting it." Commander: "Okay, but just take one bullet." Tank soldier: "Shouldn't we take more to ensure we shoot them down?" Commander: "No, I said take ONE bullet, and if it fails, come back here to take another ONE bullet."

Bit unfair how the badge doesnt award if you go for the forever immortal ending but eh, it does admitedly say SAVE the family so *shrug* still should have had the save them option be a medium badge and the live option be an easy badge.

Just as soon as 1st soldier started shooting at me I was like "nope" and ran straight back (left) to my rocket and left this god forsaken planet to rot under nuclear fire. That's another ending I guess.

Interesting concept, but didn't really do it for me as a game. Even a story game. 4/5 for ingenuity but lots missing...

The only thing wrong with the game is the controls and AI, one of the guys walked straight into one of the soldiers and got pummeled by a bunch of bullets and i couldn't protect him. As well as the character is too slow to even block the things coming for you.

I love how the top comments for this game enhance the experience by pointing out details I missed. When you are open to it, this is a very emotional mini adventure that offers a lot of food for thought. The uncertainty of what happens after the end of the game is haunting.

As soon as I finished it, I sat staring at "Live (forever immortal)" (the end screen) for half an hour before slowly closing the tab. Coming back to it now, seeing it all over again, beautiful. Really conveys a message. One of the best games on this website.

There are three main endings. One, the family dies and the alien dies. Two, The family lives and the alien dies. Three, after the soldiers come, the alien can go back to the spaceship and leave.

There once was a girl... One day, she met it, and followed it. This was during the great war. Along the way, they met the apple picker, the strongman and the daughter. "It protected us, it taught us sacrifice and honor, the value of life over the quarrels of men."

In reality, however, militants rarely waste bullets on a bunch of farmers who don't seem to actually have anything. They aren't worth killing - even from a purely economic perspective. Cityfolk's organs fetch way more on the blackmarket, unless they're a smoker or alcoholic.

My heart was not prepared for how bleak this game was. The story, emotions and details are amazing yet subtle. The gameplay might be simple but the Feels are about as complex as life can dish out. =,( I don't think the memory of this story is going to be forgotten any time soon. <3

Man, what'd a bunch of farmers and their kids do to deserve getting shot at by 30 soldiers and their tanks and planes?

I remembered this game three days ago when I read about the Brazilian CS team 'Immortals'! I was like "hey there was a kong game called ImmorTall, it was released a loooong time ago". And now it's the BOTD!
