my base keeps moving in random directions and getting itself killed. I have tried not clicking, I have tried clicking. It's made me hate the game would do 0/5 but alas 1/5. Makes game frustating and not fun at all

Thoughts when I start: "Ugh just another game of mindlessly sending minions to other bases..." Thoughts when I'm playing: "Wow this is pretty fun!"

Forget luxuries like group selection. Pixel Legions would be more playable if your units simply followed your orders. You must babysit every squad because each will run off and chase squirrels to the far corners of the map, and the only way to override the sticky AI is to rapidly direct a squad over and over. This focused clicking (combined with no group selection) makes it impossible to direct multiple squads simultaneously. Unless you're the AI, of course, which thankfully doesn't exploit its advantage. The strategy and tactics are very straightforward, and the game mechanics are tolerable all the way to the medium badge, but "fair play" is thrown out the window in the luck-based missions for the hard badge. In level 28, you may be dead before the game gives you control. Also, some maps ARE zoomed out, which means the slow scroll on others is intentional for "difficulty". Real difficulty is Dostoyevsky. Fake difficulty is "Dick and Jane", in Klingon. Which one is this? 1/5.

I actually loved this game, and that's a rare for me with strategy-type games. Just a few suggestions though: There needs to be a way to select more than one set of units at a time, like maybe holding down a key and dragging. I also sometimes had difficulty with easily telling when I did/didn't have a certain set of units selected, as there were so many outlines and colors and things going on during period of high activity that it would become tough to make out, which lead to giving commands to the wrong group. Perhaps it would help if your outlines shouldn't be the same color as your units/base? One final thing I had a problem with was the clicking/dragging system. The issue is that if you click on a moving group then drag, they'll go back to the very beginning of the arrow and then follow it. It would be nice if they could move to and adhere to the path your set without going all the way back to the beginning of it.

OK. set my base and my troops in the middle on Fair-play #35 and left to go eat and came back and found i won and killed everybody.

Here is a major hint: most of the levels you can just beet by staying still and letting the computers weaken themselves. Once you have a massive army flank them like mad. A bit boring but works.

Great game. I've never seen a real-time strategy game with such fluid, dynamic combat. A defeat was never frustrating, the fun was in the challenge of seeing what strategy worked.
That being said, the difficulty was rather on the low side. I beat most levels on the first try and wasn't ever really delayed by any level. Positioning is critical, but in many levels sheer mass can replace finesse.
The controls took a bit of getting used to, but actually work great once you do. The graphics, though monotonous, are perfectly sufficient for this kind of game. Combat turns the game into a colorful, sparkly fireworks display, and that's awesome.
My biggest gripes are the low difficulty and few strategic factors. There should be a lot more like the blinking bonus thingies and the death fields. But a great strategy game overall.

4/5 It's an awesome game, but the controls are kinda rubbish. I don't get how the units merge, and you should be able to select multiple units at once. Auto-attack kinda sucks.
You could make a really awesome game out of this, with base upgrades; think defences, special units; fat pixels and some better controls.
Can't wait for PL2!

there should be an upgrade screen between the levels and a select all button :( if those were added the this would've been an awesome game but for now it gets 4/5 because it's still good

love the game, the pixel graphics coupled with the autochanging quality makes the game look like the game is on a tactical map, the pixels are soldiers, and the bases are deployment trucks.

Some people are suggesting an upgrade system (add attack, speed, whatever to your troops at the end of the battle. I think that would be a bad idea because it would take away from the strategeic maneuvering that makes the game fun. (To me at least.)
Anyway, 5/5.

This is a great game. I am making it a 4/5 though. It could use some improvements. Like others have said, You need a select all button. And, stop auto locking. It is very hard at times to move my squad across the screen without attacking something. Other than that, awesome game!

Good game idea and good visuals and music but many aspects of the game seem to be overly difficult/stupid. When you have to scroll across the map and leave your base unguarded? When your pixels automatically attack? And fcol flanking which is supposed to be your advantage is retardedly difficult. So ya the games a 2/5

Awsome game 5/5, but for me personally i'd like my army to have 2x hp and 1/2 spawn rate, that way i'd have less groups to have to micro that could last longer. Also make the unit hit boxes more tangable so a miss click into a force won't instantly wipe out your units.

Great. Half of my units just died in a bombing raid because they stopped to fight a band of about 7 pixels and I couldn't tell them to move out of the way.
