Greetings folks, I've just released an update. It features...
New Words! This includes an embarrassing oversight. 'Canada' wasn't in the game's dictionary. It is now, though. Sorry Canadians!
Bug Fixes! The game won't slow down and crash when you build ridiculously tall towers. At least, it didn't when I tried it.
New features! You can now end a game early. Look for the button in the lower left corner.
Old features! People have been asking for a way to quickly scroll through old words, or clear out the current word. You can do this with the arrow keys -- press up to go through past words, and down to go back or clear the current word entirely.

Here is some more words with Q and X (adding onto Mmmchips) All are suffixes:
-CAL: quixotical.
-IES: exequies, quixotries.
-ITE: exquisite.
-ESS: exquisteness.
-SES: exquisitenesses.
-LLY: quixotically.
-SMS: quixotisms.
Rather than scrambling I suggest completing the words with the prefix only. This way it changes the suffix faster than waiting for the scramble button to appear.

Maybe if you got both the beginning and the ending in one word you get some bonus. *3 or *5 combo on both. Should be some bigger reward in it :)

GREAT TIPS TO GET GREAT HISHSCORES: 1. get a dictionary, any dictionary ( preferably a book) 2. use only the word that starts with (its hard if its ends with) 3. choose a starting letter that is easy to type and lots of words 4. use only short and simple words 5. keep in mind that 1 word have many forms like plural ( ending in -s, -es) nouns ( -er, -ers, -ist, -ists, -or, -ors, -ee, -ees) and verbs ( -ed, -eds, -ing, -ings) this mean 1 word got lots of possibilities 6. do not wait for the screen to finish coming up(it eats time a lot)... just keep typing 7. sometimes the starting letter changes, so watch out for that 8. when #7 does happen, just minimize the window and search your dictionary ( the time in the game actually slow when you do that) hope this helps a lot

spac, suffix means endings only so try getting 2 15-combos on the suffix in one game.
and also a pro tip for good height is to not type the first word, go to a website and google a list of words starting with, and keep going through the list while playing. by changing your browser size you can see the list and game at same time and get a huge combo, also good if struggling with getting a combo streak, as occurs later in the game. remember, the clock doesn't tick till you enter you first word. + so others can see too.

if you are continuously restarting in order to get a desired prefix or suffix i suggest pressing tab and enter repeatedly. in other words no mouse movement required.

How do people reach rank 9? Just finding 10 words that has Q and X is hard enough, but getting the correct 'starts with' or 'ends with' seems impossible. Does this game even have a 'starts with' "Exq" for exquisite? (which you could make 5 words with)

1) letters with 'q' and 'x', look for "qua-" prefix: "quadplex, quadplexes, quadratrix, quadratrixes, quadrioxalate, quadruplex, quadruplexed, quadruplexes, quadruplexing", 9 letters here. then for the 10th, do some form of "quixotic" 2) 19 words with 'b' and 'w', restart until you see "bac-" : backward, backwash, backwood, backwrap, backwards, backwater, backwoods, backwraps, backwardly, backwashed, backwashes, backwaters, backwoodsy, backwardness, backwashing... 3) I HAVE NOT SEEN A "QUI-" prefix, SO STICK WITH "QUA-" FOR NOW :)

btw, on lv 8 and 9 ranking objective, i realize you did not specify within a single game or accumulated, way to confuse (somewhat literalist) gamers :P

This game is awesome, but I don't know as much vocabulary as I were supposed to know for getting rank 9....
Still 5/5 for this great idea....

Haven't done it yet, but on rank 8 you can get the prefix "qua", to which you can use these words "quadplex, quadplexes, quadratrix, quadratrixes, quadrioxalate, quadruplex, quadruplexed, quadruplexes, quadruplexing" then use a few other "qua" words to get the bonuses and any bonus letters... then use this page to get the rest: http://words-with.com/q-and-x.html
THat is theoretically how you can get that objective... but so far it's been to quick for me

great idea for a game, but I'm French, and I find it really hard !! I'm positive I could get a much higher score if the game was for french people !

I love word games. There never seems to be one on this site that captures the fun of listing off words with certain criteria and the need to beat a previous score, but this one does both of those things and then some... 6/6!

its amazing! can you make this game for other languages too? for example german, french or something? its great for learning languages ^^
