Yknow, I think it's possible to complete the game entirely without EVER obtaining the gold warport pass. Here's how it goes:
0 points: Grab Gloria, Mareador, Elewyn, get the quest from the shaman, do the dream walking cave, take pass to other continent.
1 Point: Start fire temple, grab skull, clear up to guardian. Clear dreamwood, up to the door of earth temple, which you can't open until you get Legion. Talk to the librarian, unlock saul's dungeon. Take pass across again.
2 Points: Do water temple, unlock legion. Take path across
3 points: Do fire temple. Do earth temple. Take warp back to gonzor.
Complete game.

If you need to level people up and you haven't beaten the earth temple yet, Legion can use Spirit Nova to OHKO the golems that attack you when you fail the puzzle for thousands of easy XP points.

@billcat: I tend to teach those kinds of powerful passives early on, so that I don't have to sacrifice an accessory slot later on. In that way, you can learn more skills at once. However, if you want to double up on another 10-RP passive, you'll need the character to be at least lvl 34 (for instance, learning Double Gold or Rainbow Aura)

Defeating Fire Guardian, teaching Raging Inferno for Legion and beat the World Saviours IN THE FIRST TIME was the best thing happened in the game for me, now I'm going to Earth Temple!

I'm fighting Karnos and I raised Elwyen's spirit to 100 with spirit graft. She's playing runic rhapsody and now Karnos's magic attacks can"t do any damage. The battle shouldn't be too hard from here on out...

Pseudolnewolf, this is game is literally genius. I enjoyed every minute of it (well, 47hours and 36minutes of it anyways DX ... I actually found the game a year or so ago and have being waiting for this chapter for AGES. As it turns out though, all I had to do was go on a different site to find this game then BAM! New chapter! *mega-happy-face* >:D
Although, I'm stuck now >:( so I'm going to play it all over again XD (this time using the walkthrough as well, but shhhh XD )
Also, the music is fantastic. Being a (amatuar) pianist/composer/musician, I know how hard it is to compose "good sounding" songs so well done.
So, again, I congratulate you on your work and whilst I await for the next chapter, I'll try to get myself 'unstuck' from my current situation in chapter 3 (I HATE IT when this stuff happens to me =.=", and no, this 'sticky' situation is not a boss, but instead some bloody plot thingy... the worst kind of "stuckiness" D:< ... but oh well.)

Guys, this is my first comment, so I would appreciate it if you took it easy and slow. Let's try not to rush things.
That being said, I have an announcement. Of every single RPG that I have played, particularly Retro ones such as the first FF's and that thing before Pokemon, this series is quite possibly the greatest. The casual comedy that points out the flaws and little nicks and scratches in the logic behind retro RPGs is, quite frankly, spot-on and hilarious. My favorite quote from the entire series (mind, I haven't finished part 2, and as a result, have not touched on part 3) is "You stand no chance against me, cause im actually four blokes!" I will admit that I had to take a minute after the laugh on that.
But, I digress. This game has an excellent system, very complex, and is flawless in pretty much every way. Thank you for make this, Pseudo, it is really appreciated.

Really good game. It has great music, an interesting plot, and hilarious characters. On my second time playing through the series, and I'm not tired of it yet. As for all those haters... everyone's entitled to their own opinion and I'm respecting that. No one is denying that this is inspired by Final Fantasy. But there's nothing wrong with that. If every game had to be completely original, where would we be? Anyway, the bottom line is, no one is making you play this. IT'S FREE. You don't have to play it if you don't want to. So don't leave hateful comments all over the comments board, please.
Just 2 suggestions - one, it would be nice to have a way to transfer entire inventories from person to person (it gets tedious moving every item). Also, it might be easier and faster if the menu was entirely mouse-controlled... it seems like a lot of people can't figure it out.
All in all, good game. Great job Pseudolonewolf! 8D

It will start over, in a new world and everything— the first two episodes (which correspond to what is currently Chapter 1) will likely be released sometime in the following November.

What makes sense - Silence makes it so you can't talk and therefore can't use spells because they are "incantations."
What doesn't make sense - Silence disables Meraeador from using his inventions. I guess they don't work if he can't whisper his sweet nothings into their joints.

Listen guys, I lost Mardek files 4 times (long ones) and decide to put an end to it.What I did was to find the folder where the saves of Mardek are in my computer and copy the saves in another folder(one of my own creation).I basically made a backup, and I recopy the newest saves there every time I play.The saves folder usually is in C:\Users\Juanchez\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\SEJ9GEQU (the user name depends on yours computer), it is the one named chat.kongregate.com (it contains all of you kongregate games saves), or it could also be in C:\Users\Juanchez\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects .If your saves are erased just copy back the "saved" saves.You can also copy the saves in another computer to export your games.I hope this comment help someone.Sorry for my bad English.

Sponisdude, if you want to target more than one enemy just hit the left arrow key when targeting the enemy, but you can only do this for certain attacks. Same goes for healing your party or something, just hit the right arrow key when targeting yourself.

I think Pseudolonewolf has passed into the area of legendary game-maker. Companies have made games that are utterly disgusting, and one guy made an original and moving story, an excellent variety of characters and character development, great battle system, good controls (for those who don't have their controls lock up like me)... the way he purposefully puts things from games like Final Fantasy in there makes it a bit more of an homage than a ripoff... and did I mention excellent music that he also did by himself?! Pseudolonewolf definitely has my vote.

Holy shit if mardek 4 comes out in any way or form i would literally get a heart attack im one of the biggest fanes of the MARDEK series and it would be a blast to play the contiuation even if not the originial intenton, but you get the point. I i will freaking praise whoever continues the series YALORT level. but still Tobias is the MVP for making succh an awesome game. still my favourite after 10 years of me playing it. Nothing i played over the past decade comes near to MARDEK's brilliance. best games of 2017, imean actual games made by companies, not flash games like PUBG, Breath of The Wild, Resident Evil 7 will never be better in my heart tha MARDEK. if i would win the lottery i would literally donate a huge amount to Tobias and whoever finishes this franchise, because this is a masterpiece, a work of art no one else could copy, my boy Tobias is a genius period

goodness! just spent 125 hours on this game, but it was certainly well worth it c: managed to finish the requirements for the impossible badge c: All i can say is, this is certainly, one of the best game series!

TIP: You can cast spells on multiple targets by pressing the left (all enemies) or right (all allies) arrow key. I don't know if it's only me forgetting this all the time or not. Give it a + if you think it could help others too.

I was just looking over the games, and I can't believe that this is not #1 in at least the strategy/rpg category! I mean, I understand this is not everyone's cup of tea for everything else, but it should AT LEAST be in the top five there!!!

I tried talking to allies while in the puzzle area in the earth temple I talked to legion which activated his unlockable story but instead of seeing legion I saw Mardek going through all his faces I laughed so hard XD

@Dutchtica... that's not supposed to happen, nor has it ever happened to me. I just played through again earlier this month, and all of my items in the storage space (not the character's inventory) were still in there. I mean hell, I still brought over both Tunics from Chapter 1. Maybe try again, loading an old save from the end of Chapter 2?

For ppl who are wondering when will Chap 4 come out: He is remaking the whole series on his webpage "Alora Fane". The series is called now "Taming Dreams", go there if you wanna see his progress on it.
PS: Honestly Pseudo, I think you dont REALIZE how good you are at making games. Mardek 3 (Since I havent played Taming Dreams yet, I will soon) has a really really very good writing. The character development is huge, and the combat system is cool aswell. I like the fact that EVERY person in the game has an element, and that kinda shows his personality. Even NPCs have element, OMG, you took care of every small detail.

It's a real shame, y'see, that Pseudo actually was planning on Chapter 4 to actually happen, proven by the fact that the Water Guardian who is probably not Emela if you talk to her after Clavis does his rambling, she says "See you next chapter." A mighty shame, that.
