Some people in the comments here are still acting as if there's going to be new chapters if we just wish hard enough. It's not gonna happen as everyone closely following him knows very well. Pseudolonewolf has long been past the point where he could ever continue Mardek. Even if he will be able to sort out his personal stuff and still want to produce games, it will not be Mardek. The best he's offered is a sort of summarization of how the story was gonna play out, but it's not even likely that's gonna be published as I see it.

it's such a nostalgia trip looking back at my play time and seeing how much time I spent playing this game. shame it won't have a sequel, would love to have played more.

I really do wish Pseudo would release the script (at least roughly) for the rest of this. It is a shame he is not continuing it but that is his decision, however any fan spin offs would just have me wondering what the "real" story was meant to be. As a writer I can understand being disappointed with an old story though; I have a few I wouldn't be too keen on sharing, let alone finishing.

@AlinG49, I would but I need the permission of Tobias Cornwall (AKA Pseudolonewolf) to make it, otherwise it would be already copyrighted and I could be sued.

One of the best, yet most underrated flash games I have ever seen in my life, and will always be a game I hold dear for me.I'm looking forward to chapter 4, even if it releases only on 2018

So many great things about this game! :
1. No politically correctness and characters are very realistic and relatable.
2. So many NPCs to talk to!
3. Super rich plot.
4. So much content, much of which is optional.
5. Great music
I've probably missed a lot, but this is likely one of the only games I would pay for.

I don't know whether to be proud that I killed a dragon after going through 19 other enemies or ashamed that I had to do it by outlasting his mp bar and unleashing scratch damage...

About the Security Demon - all I did was use one noxious bomb to confuse him and make him/it use Death on his/itself. As for showing off about killing him/it, it won't show up in the bestiary but you keep the regular Warport ticket and earn the Golden one.

@iroqelio - You can simply go to the MARDEK wiki and look up whatever monster you want to find. It gives all the information you will need.
Oh, and i'm pretty sure axolotl's aren't 'easier' to find in one part of the temple than another.

Thanks for that. BTW - "I would only kill a guy if he killed me first" "I don't know you, but this dog wants to stop you, and I listen when dogs tell me to kill dark people" Mardek should be a philosopher...

I love everything about this game! The skills and reactions system, the music, the artwork... especially the dialogue! =) I hope Pseudo comes out with a new chapter soon.

This is the second time I've played through, this time taking the time to beat the superbosses, but I still can't be arsed doing the survival arenas for the characters I never played with!

Thank you Psuedolonewolf for being one of the developers who actually care about comments! Good luck making mardek 4!

Easy way to beat pixies: have both Sharla and Elwyen in your party whenever in the dreamrealm (especially in the dreamreal fairy spring, the pixise seem more common there) and ensure that they both have more agility than a pixie (22). Have Sharla cast Null Air Once (learnable from the iron spear of Xantusia (the Lizard village)) and Elwyen Dolorous Dirge (it's on a skeleton in the Necromancer's house). The Addle Gas gets negated and the pixie's haste mans that it takes 2x Dirge's Damage, normally in the high 100s or low 200s.

My favourite place is warport, after travelling with a gold pass.
Incoming Bouncer: Thanks for using our services free of charge, sir. I can't take your Gold Warport Pass out of your grubby little hands due to our policies an' all, but rest assured that if I could, I'd ram it forcefully up your intensely tight but monstrously fat arse. Good day!!!

This might just be one of the greatest installments in one of the greatest series, if not THE greatest series, of all time. I love MARDEK RPG! Pseudolonewolf, you rock!! Thanks!! :d

for those of you who haven't figured it out, mastering a skill makes it so that you are no longer dependent on an item to give you said skill.

I really enjoy the mix of styles, the pokemon/zelda eploration style and the common flash RPG combat make for a great mix. MUSIC IS AMAZING. 9000+ star

I love the security check questions. "Why are you a terrorist?" "...I'm not?" or "How many bombs are you carrying?" "More than I can count!"

This game is awesome! The parody is hilarious and spot-on.
More than that, though, this game is a lot of fun to play. It reminds me of everything I love about "old-school" RPGs.
Thank you for all of the time and effort you put in--I can't imagine how many hours this took you. 5/5!

I've yet to play this one, loading now, but i've played both chapters one and two. And this is, by far the best flash rpg out there. I've played hundreds of flash rpgs, and thousands of flash games in general, and this is one i'll never forget. I love the mix of a wonderful story and great gameplay combined with a parody aspect. Ive had plenty of shits n giggles playin it, and still i get absorbed into the story. Truly magnificent. Granted the last 2 seem a bit lacking in combat depth, but that seems to be changing as the chapters progress. Usually I have a couple paragraphs of issues or complaints.... this will be the exception. Amazing job, keep up the good work.

Incredible game, and series so far, only thing i dont really care for is that you have to get out each character n take time to lvl them all. It would be cool if inactive characters got a portion of the xp but o well great game anyways:P

I really want to congratulate you pseudolonewolf. I must say that this is THE best flash game I've ever played online, it is certainly better than many pay games and console games, and should you ever release one, I would be one happy buyer.
Once again I wish to congratulate you, not only for this game, but for the whole Mardek saga and also for your commitment and hard work.
Thanks to games like this is Kongregate amazing as it is, I praise your awesomeness.

5-star rating, hands down. Let me point out that I've only given, maybe, three or four 5-star ratings on this site, so when I give one to you, it's because you deserve it. Seriously, if I had anything higher than a $0 income, I would be donating so hard right now. But... that said, I still have a few tiny things I would like to see improved. 1) Talking on the field: It would be nice to talk to your entire entourage instead of just your current party. A little alert in the corner when someone has something new to say would also be nice. 2) Item storage: A few shortcuts to speed up item distribution; switching inventories between characters, putting a character's inventory into storage, splitting a stack into 2, 3, or 4 roughly equal stacks. 3) Skills: Give any equipped item a gold background when all of its skills have been learned by the equipper. In the skills list, under each skill, show character icons for everyone that can learn the ability that hasn't already.

An RPG game without the need of an offline game console. And that means... I can't focus on my other games! Oh well. Thanks for making me waste my study time on this. =DDDD (I never could really study anyway.)

Yes, this is an amazing game, of course, and Pseudolonewolf deserves some Nobel prize for making this, but as not just a rpg loonatic, but also a musician, I have to give some credits to the fantastic music here. The music is absolutely bad ass, and lots of fun twists here and there. I love it! <3

This game is epic. There's no other way to describe it. It is the Baldur's Gate of Flash RPG.
I don't really like Japanese RPGs. I much prefer Western ones. This game won me over. It is huge, detailed, exciting. Each character is perfectly designed, and the tactical options that open up as each one progresses makes combat a constant delight.
To those who say this is a Final Fantasy rip-off, I say this.
When the only games you can meaningfully compare a free flash RPG to are multi-million dollar commercial products, constructed over years by dedicated, professional development teams - THAT IS NOT AN INSULT.
If this game had been released in 1998 for the Playstation, it would have swept all before it. It is a monumental achievement, and the fact that it does not hold the top spot on every website's highest rated RPG list is a joke, a travesty, and a testament to the stupidity of twitch gamers and keyboard jockeys who think they have an opinion.
Superb.

This game doesn't get enough attention on this site. It is, by far, the highest quality game on Kongregate, yet it's not even in the top 5 of it's genre! EBF3 is good, but it doesn't compare to MARDEK at all. The music, storyline, artwork, gameplay and humor are all top notch. My only problem is having to organize my items all the time. The game needs to auto-sort types of items, and you need to have access to item storage when you craft things. But other than that, this game is absolutely amazing. Keep it up Pseudo!

I've updated the game to v3.3.056, which weakens some monsters in the first dungeon, though will they be weak enough, I wonder?
