@FruityAfro13: It's meant to be like that. Bartholo says that he arranged the fight to be then BECAUSE you are weak after the guardian. It's meant to make it hard. You can just simply heal using potions and other consumables to restore HP and MP. If you need a strategy guide to beat the Heroes, check around in the forums. I'll even write you one if you want.

Ok this message is for Pseudolonewolf. Ok so i am in the fire temple and i just killed the freakishly huge dragon to get the fire crystal. i get the fire crystal and im weak because i just battled the dragon. then you send in the 'heroes' to battle? i mean what the hell. i didnt even get a chance to save. so now i have to rebattle the the freaking dragon. this is a terrible design flaw.

I do appreciate all the work that went into this game, and I have been a fan of Mardek since Chapter 1, but I must say that I am disappointed with Mardek 3's level of difficulty. The reason I enjoyed the first two chapters so much was because the games were humorous and plot-intensive. Now I find that I am running from one nearly unbeatable boss to another, without enough story to back it up. I feel that it ruins the balance of the game. As someone who is actually more keen on the plot than battles, I was especially frustrated to find that 38 hours in, I am unable to finish the game because of yet another unexpectedly impossible boss. I hope that in future games Pseudo will take into consideration those that may not be resilient enough to grind to the finish, but would like to see his beautiful work in its entirety.

Just got to water guardian, he 1 hits 3 members of my team with his first attack.. guess this means its time to grind until my team is a much higher level. This is what ruins this game for me. lowered score to 3/5.

One other thing though, some of the boss fights were unnecessarily long, I found. Maybe that's because I sucked but they seemed to take an eternity to complete. I did suck so it could have just been me but as a mental note, increasing the length of the boss fights doesn't necessarily make them more challenging - if a strategy works on a boss with 20khp, it will probably work on one with 30k or 40k hp too.
Not to end on a negative, I loved the music. Clavis' theme is my favourite.
So yeah, there's my unnecessary and unimportant review. :P To summarize: I loved it except for the long bosses and lack of suprises. Still gets 5/5 though

This is by far the best flash RPG I've ever played. I played Final Fantasy 7, X, X-2, and XII, and I don't think this is a rip-off at all. It's a completely different game, with a different plot, with some similarities. I thought it was great that I was familiar with the battle system because of my previous game experience. Though it wasn't as extensive as final fantasy, it was definately the longest for a flash RPG that I've ever played. I finished all the quests, got all the best weapons, did everything in the game you could do pretty much, and it took me ~60 hours for the 3 games, with about ~40-45 of it in the third chapter. I love the random snippits of funny humor that was thrown into the game as well. Talking to random people to see what they say was always amusing. Don't listen to the haters. Awesome job, awesome game, and I really look forward to the next chapter.

One of the few things I disliked was the lack of suprise. The problem is that the random citizens and NPC's give the whole plot away. For example, the whole thing about 'Lone Wolf' - without giving anything away, I'm pretty sure I know all of the details behind his character already. There are just too many hints given. I'm not trying to be picky, I hope you'll see this as constructive and not just criticism but it was a bit of a letdown. Some of the dreamstones too revealed large suprises that could have been dramatically revealed.
Having said that, there were times when the lack of subtlety was amusing - the Blatantly Evil Chancellor has made several people laugh in the chat and he's a favourite XD. So it's good in small amounts if done humorously.
I also loved how Qualna wasn't your average "evil destroy the world" antagonist - he was genuinely trying to help, and how Rohoph was essentially the wrongdoer of the game.

IS there a way to sell the stuff that the guys have in there own inventory space? all i can do with it is put it into item storage, but i cant put it in the main inventory.

Is it just me or does the mysterious stranger look a lot like stele from chapter two, fist attacks week vs. lightning. He will probably became a recurring character almost as annoying as the worlds saviors

While I hope you fix the inventory dropping items randomly glitch I told you about, I still give this game a 5/5. It's too damn close to perfect to not warrant such a score :)

All the Mardek games are AWESOME! The only thing I have to say is I have gotten 3 dream stones already and they don't show up in ether my inventory or in my plot items. Is there a reason for this or is it just a glitch?

i decided to take a trip on the warport today. first two security guards asked me quetions, i gave hilarious yet absurd answers. third guard asked my if i like demons, so i said i had deals with them in the past. he called me terrorist, and ironically turned into "Security Demon", destroying my party in about 5 turns using the attack "Death" (he missed once) lesson learned-dont [profanity] around with the scary-[profanity] security guards

This is an awsome Final fantasy parody I just realized a lot of the names are similar and that the king sent you to get the crystals and it is so similar yet I played the actual game and it is no where as cool as this I like games that joke around and don't take themselfs so seriosly plus this makes fun of a lot of dumb things in final fantasy.

I found this out just a while ago, but you can easily miss it. At the shaman cave in Canonia, theres a cauldron, and there you can mix many different potions and other usables.

Game has potential and has a lot of effort putting into it. Sadly for me it took too long to get some skills and I got too tired of the grinding fest (I got through mardek I and II, but only halfway through III, farming-too slow all the time- kills this game). Leveling should be made more fun and compelling. I recommend speeding up the game(more importantly the battle phase). This would me the game work better overall. Pseudolonewolf you sure have great potential to make good rpgs, hope you get a good company to look after you. GG

don't you mean Gloria + Sapphire Bangle + Earth Staff = Win? Because Whirlpool doesn't do sh** to the enemies and Sapphire Bangle takes care of null water so..... you fail.
