"Cartman, if you weren't eating all the candy, maybe we wouldn't be such an easy target, you fat m***** f*****!
-Shut up Kyle, and Respect my Autoritah' !"

Everything seems a bit too slow. I'd like to feel like i'm maneuvering my characters instead of feeling like i'm just waiting for more monsters to show up

2 Ninjas and 2 Pirates gives you a much better spread! Plus... Ninjas and pirates on the same team for once? Uber win!

4 ninjas is not the best team. 2 ninjas and a cat (for its special skill) is the best. With that, it's easy to kill the boss the first time he lands.

They took our candy, is a decent retro old-school shoot em' up. Does it deliver on all fronts? Absolutely not. It is however a solid title, that I recommend for only the patient gamers. Because it is extremely slow. Your characters move, at what seems like, 5 mph (miles per hour) and it takes forever to finish a wave. The bad, to some... When you die, you restart from the beginning of the round with all your upgrades taken away. Which in essence, is a good thing; since the game is mostly quite easy -- the only real replayability factor that I found in the game is unlockable characters. But the one thing that I noticed, is how over-powered the Ninja class is. If you have a team of four ninjas, you can basically walk through the enemy front lines until wave fifteen or so, before the game finally ramps up it's difficulty. Overall, They Took Our Candy is a solid shoot em' up; but it's definitely not something I'll play again. Great work, Rachid1984. I gave this game a 3.5 out of 5.

less candy (there were all over the place)
better skills ( i hardly noticed any difference)
more skills (atk/atk spd/ crit/ bullet chains/bounces there are tons)
more fast-paced ( after a while the waves (especially the first ones) get seriously boring)
and most of all: BALANCE. i read somewhere here that the most efficient team is 4 ninjas. so i got 4 ninjas (that you get for free?) and he was right !!

Ok, having unlocked all characters (and what a chore that was) I can now safely say that Ninja is the best class, and that Ninja and Pirate are the only 2 classes worth using. They are the only two classes with multi-shot, and their shot spreads actually work well together. Of course by the time you've unlocked Pirate you've already beat the game with a Ninja squad. So playing again for better shot coverage is pretty pointless.

awesome game. no doubt 5/5... but still, i would really like an easier way to pause the game. i know the waves aren't long, but sometimes i have to pause at a critical moment, and then i lose alot of health.

Great game. Picking the right team makes all the difference. Being an upgrade game means giving it a few tries but I don't mind that in a relatively short game.
Just one question: what the heck does the Special do?

.... I just beat the game, and i didn't even get a level xD. C'mon, beating the last wave should gaurentee a single rank up

So... I beat the game, but still have to farm in order to unlock the all the other useless characters? Nice! Maybe u could make the ninja the last unlockable character...

Ninjas need some nerf... Like only the first one in the team using 3 stars. The other only 1 (diagonal stars do not stack). This way they would still be interesting, but not for all 4

The game is OK.. rate it 4/5..I think it's lack of description of each characters and ninja is rocking.. I hate the music, too repetitive

Why are there so many people just walking in the street when there are perfectly fine sidewalks? If someone gets hit by a car its not my fault...

Enjoyed the game, but agree there is a balance issue. However, my only really game complaint is the lack of a real ending.

Ok so... 2 ninjas and 2 fairies seemed a good way to start, honestly I stuck with whatever team i was dealt first time around. Easy game to pick up, and love the halloween theme :)

A pause shortcut on keyboard (P or ESC) and a pause when the game lost focus would be really great, I've lost a few games because of that. But anyway, I liked it, great concept ! 5/5

If you make a sequel to this game (which I hope you do) you should make it so individual costumes can get their own power up. Ex. Ninja could be able to throw 4 shurikens instead of three. Anyways, good game 4.5/5

Really fun game, I loved the concept of gang, instead of single hero, this is somthing uncommon and I enjoyed it.
You could have balanced a little bit more, and I think is a little frustrating to lose everything, I should get at least chunk of candys when I lose to buy a few buffs in the beggining.
But good game overall 4/5
