I use the special mainly for getting out of tight spots (which are fairly common considering the limited movement in the game -.-) so I actually find 3 ninja 1 knight to be the best combination.

Very enjoyable game I played it a few times happily trying out different teams until I eventually just went for an all ninja team, could do with some fine tuning in the way you move around, mostly the slowness of moving up and down. Also I was thinking a sound or something coming up on the screen to let you know your special is ready would be nice, there were a couple of times where I was overrun with enemies and trying to avoid them/their attacks so I couldn't really see if my special bar was full and would try to maneuver into the middle for my special and end up taking a lot of damage because I didn't realise it wasn't ready.

A fun little game, but needs the balancing that most have already said. 3 Ninjas and 1 Cat is demonstrably superior to any other possible combination. Vertical movement is too slow. Bullet patterns have too little variation. Why not more spread patterns, splash shots, homing weapons, rapid fire or, since half the enemies come from behind, why not a single unit that shoots backwards? Great potential--I hope it gets a sequel or an update.

I really like the concept for this game! A sidescrolling shooter with a team of four units, selected from a list of classes? That sounds awesome! The reality? Every class feels too similar, except the ninja. Perhaps there should have been a greater focus on the weapons? Maybe a class that shoots infrequent, powerful bullets, one that shoots a rapid-fire barrage, one using a auto-homing missile, perhaps? As it stands, everyone shoots the same bullets, except the pirate and ninja. :/

1 - This game needs major balancing. Some parties are impossible to score +30K in survival because 1/2 the enemies are just walking right by due to a lack of damage
2- Vertical movement in this game is HORRID, no matter how much you max speed, does not nearly scale as effectively as horizontal movement
3 - You need a 'current score' for survival mode, especially for those who are attempting the hard badge
4 - Terribly annoying almost dying just to mouse over the pause button (hint: there is a "P" and "ESC" button on the keyboard)
5 - Conceptually a great idea, 3.5/5 (if you fixed some of these things I'd give it a 5/5)
LAST - 3 ninjas and 1 cat =MASS shuriken+ATK SPD=OP/IMBA/ETC

*in the army* Sir, the aliens are attacking, what should we do?
Just send these kids, they will do the job for candy.

How to get a 30k+ score in survival:
1. Pick 4 ninjas (cone attack, and special All Around Attack, very manouvrable), 2. upgrade candy droprate all the way first (this allows you to upgrade the rest faster and (better) candy adds to (more) your score). This gave me a 32k score on Wave 18

There should be more varieties of primary attack. Super Hero's lasers should penetrate multiple enemies, Knight's lance should have knockback effect, Cat's fish should poison, Rockets should explode, Faeries should have high damage but short range shotgun (fairy dust), magic should have a sine wave pattern and status effects, etc. Right now, all we have is Ninja trishot and Pirates double.

Survival mode waves need rebalancing. Pink riders are incredibly dangerous, but 1) You don't encounter them until Wave 18, and 2) You get slammed with several of them at once, in addition to other aliens. The game was fun for a while, but I'm giving up on it: I'm not going to sit through the 17 easy waves for one shot at practicing the obscenely-difficult Wave 18.

I wish you could change your characters' direction, so they could turn around and attack things you missed or ones that come from behind. Overall, this is a pretty good game, 4/5!

Two pirates + two ninjas seems to be my optimal team...nothing else seems powerful enough to make up for shooting only one projectile instead of two or three.

LEFT + UP + SPACE pressed simultaneously doesn't work on european keyboards, so an alternate way of using the Special would be appreciated.

3 witches + 1 fairy got me 33k in survival! It starts out slow, but when fully upgraded, it provides high speed, quick succeeding bursts of high fire-rate and piercing attack. And good regeneration. Aaaallmoooost made it through the survival boss level...

This game reminds me of a mini game on pet RPG where it was you trying to survive. You started out with a really crappy weapon and every time you beat an enemy you would get "points" AKA money where you could buy better weapons. You didnt unlock any new characters or titles, but hey,its just a mini game. If it was as epic as this it would get its own game.

My way to make hard badge : 2 Ninja, Cat and Witch. Make a combo with attack speed and attack boost. At start improve Candy (more drop for next) 3-4/5 then special and attack 3/5, after that make on your own, spam special and enjoy :)

Winstrategy: front line 2 ninja's, backline knight, cat (only needed for the specials). Start upgrading your candy untill it's about 3 (also put 1 in magnet), than go for special and upgrade everything while still saving up for candy 4. Faster special means more damage and less damage taken.

Really amazing game. I love the possibilities, and the ability to unlock more people. Its awesome how each charecter is very unique, but only using one or two at a time seems best (four ninjas is overpowered. Also two ninjas and two cats is possibly even more overpowered. However, four bunnies is nearly impossible to control when the ability is on. Also, four robots is really fun, or three robots and a fairy) Overall, a really good game. I like this style of graphics, and it was addictive as well, with great replay value (hard to find in a flash game). Props!

2ninja and 2cat is op, that is right but if you are going for the hard badge try 2pirates and 2 cats because you will need pirates special for deadly vertical waves of purple aliens

Got hard badge on first attempt with 2 cats and 2 ninjas on Wave 17 out of 50. Died at Wave 18 where you meet a dozen of small bosses all together.

i mean honestly, having only one character type with a spread attack is bad enough, but having that character also be among the fastest in an incredibly slow moving party means the other character types are absolutely useless. no bullet spread is only useful if you can move quickly

Four robots is *fun* because it becomes a game of "avoid the aliens and grab all the candy we're pouring onto the screen." But I couldn't tell if the Vending ability upgraded with your level of Candy; if it doesn't, it's much less viable.

I think I found a winning combo. 1 witch, 1 cat, 2 ninjas on opposite corners (helps with their weapon spread). By the end, I had my buffs up like 80% of the time at least. I could probably have it up permanently with a couple more levels. Could substitute the witch or cat for another of the other, i guess, but I like this balance.
