I think the sole purpose of Totem orcs is to obliterate most of your army from the other side of the map. Maybe I should have bought wizard instead of focusing on my archers and tower.

@takashi - I've only been playing a few minutes but it seems to me you have to unlock all your upgrades... wait to gain all the mana you want all you'll ever get is more squires

bbrtki, you should learn to appreciate good quality games. First off: IT'S IN THE DAMN INSTRUCTION: ZERO TO AUTOFIRE!!!! You press one button, it autofires. Secondly, this game is an extremely good game as it combines really nicely well drawn figures and art, the bowshooting as from Bowmaster Prelude - which is one of the oldest, and also one of the best games ever on flash - with sending units to the enemy castle as in Age of War, plus a really really enjoyable and balanced upgrade system. Plus the story, which you probably skipped, is unique. I love the work of Sudarto and I love the Epic War series. One I do like better then the other but this one is definitely one of my favourites. The division of grinding and difficulty is btw also well-ballanced.

how about autofire,.. absolutely a shit game though, i must agree - no depth,. no diversity,. just spam summon button and bash face on keyboard.. disgusting this is even on kong, let alone a daily badge.

So it REALLY doesn't help that it won't tell us how much mana we need to upgrade; we can't hover over something until it turns blue. Which means, in the first three levels, that nearly never happens - if ever. You're at a severe disadvantage the moment they start sending out those heavier units and healers.

If you like pounding buttons and getting steamrolled when there is nothing you can do to stop it this is perfect for you. Otherwise stay away. As far away as possible. One star game for me.

I didn't like this game at all, the fighting took too long and you rarely had an advantage, after half an hour of playing i ended up not being able to even touch the third castle, in the same map area. 1 star at best.

Oh, and a tip for the masochists who want BOTD, it's not worth it. But if you go for it, you have to win the battle for kills to count.

Generous 1 star. Range way too OP on defense, and levels too long. Very boring and generic., plus bow is boring to use.

glad the first board was easy, as the instructions disappear on their own! level 2: finally found the Pause/options button; again, bye-bye instructions... (and I couldn't see what happened off the right side of the screen). this game has better potential, though... if fixed. (let's see YOU read it -and absorb it- that fast!)

What am I missing? Every level was easy up to chapter 16, where Guah-Hajj appears at the very end. I had an archangel out, fully upgraded units, I had the entire field flooded with my own troops, I used abilities whenever available and focused arrow fire on the boss, and he *still* had almost half of his HP left when he killed my castle. There must be a cheesy strategy I'm missing out on? Titan+clerics and nothing else? Archer spam? I usually just flood the level with paladins and a cleric or cannon here and there.

So I played this a bit after my last comment, which was "This is ...boring as hell?" and it's boring as hell AND pure luck based. I'm on mission 16. No matter what I do, I get flooded by enemy troops and haven't managed to win. Not even once. Awful awful design bro...

This one would be the best of the series for me, but it's super retarded ,story' is spoiling the impresion. Yes, unfortunately i've read through most of it.

If anyone wants some good tips on how to get an easy way to get the 1st of the other 2 races (Elves at level 8), I'd recommend you to focus on upgrading tower to lvl 4 and barrack to lvl 3. The lvl 4 tower will award you elemental arrows which, unlike in EW1, shoots slightly faster than the regular arrows. The level 3 barrack gives you paladins, which are the most epic non- titan units from the humans. You may also need both of those for lvl 7. After you have those 2 upgrades done in the tech tree, feel free to research anything you want, but It's adviseable to upgrade castle after doing lvl 9. Patience will award you with the lvl 4 tower and lvl 3 barrack after level 6, even if you don't replay any levels. if you replay... well... I don't need to tell you.

I find it hard to believe anybody reads even a quarter of all this text, which is my very first impression before even starting the game. My second impression is that oh.. It's a tower defense game... A slow one at that. 2/5. Good luck on any future projects.

It would be more interesting if the opponent sent large groups of troops with breaks in between instead of the slow trickle that can be taken out easily by the crossbow.
