Suggestion: Can you add a Hero Level so that, everytime he levels up, it's maximum health is increased permanently? So, that in the later stages, he can fight with the trials.

Once again another epic war that feels less finished/good as the past ones. x3 speed still isn't fast enough for grinding, extra hero exp is wasted, heros are utterly useless, and there's not even a single upgrade for mana regen =/. It was not my favorite, but perhaps your next game will actually improve the genre rather than going with status quo or less =/. Also you should show the rewards on the levels so that if you want to go back to get more of an item you don't waste time trying to find where it is.

Seriously, the hero needs a major upgrade to last the extra and trial stages. Maybe unlock 9 more upgrades at the extra stages and then 9 more at the trial stages? That or they need to not randomly go forward. It's hard to keep track of them and when that happens, they last seconds. It's a little frustrating when you've been fighting for however long and then you lost because your hero commited suicide.

Any unit should be able to wear more than one item. Like they should be able to hold a sword a shield, and wear armor, and an off-hand item like a ring or whatever.

The first trial is ridiculously hard, in fact. TOO hard to be possible as a first trial, in scale with the other trials. I find the end game boring: No skills to upgrade and very little mana makes casting spells and any variance lacking. Hero becomes weaker than the average run-of-the-mill orc in the game, not even able to pick at any bosses later on. My advice is: make more skills, make experience spendable on increases mana and hero stats. Like this comment if you agree.

A few ideas to make gameplay smoother: When you finish a mission and have skills to upgrade/accessories to allocate, you should automatically be taken to each stats page where you can upgrade, rather than have to click on "formation", then skills every time. You could also make changing accessories simpler - for example, instead of having to remove it from one creature to add to another (in separate screens), you could allow it all to be done from one screen. Finally, what is the point of having to click on your hero to activate the spell that heals only him? A hotkey would suffice.

really need to give the hero more the 9 upgrades maybe after u beat the extra missons u unlock more and after u beat trails u unlock more it really sucks how useless they are in late game

Think its a pretty good game. Only complaint is the seemingly missing unit which also prevents the final achievement.
Btw, any1 else notice the Queen and Lord of Hell have the same voice just with some different sound editing?

Some upgrades are strange, why does death learn an upgrade that only gives it additional 60 hp, considering he has 6600, well thats not even 1%.

I finished the game and really liked it. However I must agree with the "exp waste" problem.
I had a question, how do you get the last units/equip? I already finished every achievement and mission and cannot see how to get the rest...

I liked the game. I think you should have a 10x faster button though, that iron fortress level took me like and hour or 2 which is ridiculous lol a hot key to make it go faster or slower depending on how the player feels would be immensely helpful.

Just finished the game, it isn't that hard, simply analyze. Trial 1: 2 slots for melee spam (goblin + engineer) to prevent him from progressing and mass ranged units. The secret is to attack move, since he's a slow mover. This means that while he's attacking melee you hit with ranged. When he kills them all, send ranged back until you have a fair distance to attack again. Combine with rage. T2: Mass avatar w/ ring of magic. use shield. T3: Luck involved, the key is having avatar between his sword and himself (there's an open space). Should you do that, that unit becomes invulnerable and you can kill. I used archer and avatar combined with shield. T4: Farm ring of strike. Charge (not hero). When he pushes you back to base, only use mana to heal hero (can almost regen mana between heals) and you'll eventually kill him, since you're pushing him back. Use avatars. Trial 5: farm ring of slash, have iron fortress and earth dragon tank w/ the rest as dps. Use shield. Thumbs up if it helped.

1. Set speed to 3x 2. Press the X button (all forward) 3. Press the S button (flee hero) 4. Do something worthwhile 5. Check back in about 5 minutes 6. Upgrade units then repeat.

I think somewhere along the line they focused so much on the idea of trying to make epic war newer and better that they lost sight of why we all liked the earlier ones. + if you liked it better when there were fewer units but more upgrades that made it feel like you were getting somewhere?

I am not happy. Colossus is half way dead and I hit one wrong button and my hero charges to his death. Mind you it is my own stupidity so I call moron on me first and foremost, but I miss the days where your heroes were actually worth something on the battlefield. Now they die within seconds and your progress on that level is nerfed. I say boo. My first suggestion in your next update is put a castle on the back line and let your hero regenerate like everything else. (PLEASE)

TRIAL #4 Units: Black dragon (omega seal), Death (strike ring), Vampire warriors (platinum sword), any other infantry units (platinum swords). Strategy: keep using regen. spell on death and black dragon. keep doing this until hes dead. This is the hardest trial I think. TRIAL #5 Units: Vampire warriors. Tiger, Black dragon(omega seal), Death, Succubus, Elf Hunters. Strategy: wait until all of your units are ready click charge make your hero stay back. Now keep using the vampires regen on your high hp units. the rangers and spellcasters are just there to speed up the process of killing her. + if it helped rate it high so i can be in top comments

Colossal golem is weak agaisnt magic and uses strike attack. Iron fortress is inmune to pierce, weak to everything else, uses pierce attack. Lord of Hell is weak to everything, uses slash attack. Undead beast king uses smash attack and is weak to slash atack. Inferno uses Slash attack is weak to slash as well. Angel uses slash attack and is inmune to magic, has no weakness...
if you exploit their weakness and use resistance to their attack type, they SERIUSLY get more easy to kill, hope this helped a bit.

Hmmmmmmm for early game Skull Knight's fire volcano 1 is better than viegraff's lightning. Like lightning, not as long however, depends on the game's luck.
Ya can send regular troops up for a sec and timely use 4 of it.
Each one is 25 mana, it does 150 dmg 4 times, plus burn (not 100% chance) for 8 hits of 30 from burn meaning 240 plus 600
600x4=2400 plus burn (regular troops only) in a timely manner, ya could do 5 effectively if each gives burn (840 each which is MORE THAN LIGHTNING at 750) ya could maybe get 4200 damage for 125 mana
Lightning is 250x3= 750 damage per 40 so you're waiting for another 20 for 2250 for 120 while Volcano 1 is 600 per 25. 4.8 is 120 mana for volcano 1 which is 2880 damage. Pretty interesting!

I don't understand why they needed the drastic format change. I liked the outcome of the game being based on a castle and not my hero or character. Now that I am at the late stages there is no point in having him, because he can die instantly. There is almost no point in me having him now. The games before were more successful and I actually understood the plot of those games.

@JudeDude: Keep swarming him with little crap like Hobbits/Bomber Goblins/Goblins, while the other slots are filled with 1 Black Dragon(using the Omega Seal, natch!), and a whole mess of shooters(I used the 3 mages, Witch, Wizard, Succubus, because the normal Golems are weak to Magic, so assume it still holds. If it's strong against all, then the Archers/Centaurs become the superior choice). Keep backing your shooters bit by bit as the Colossus advances. Support them with offensive towers, the healing towers would probably be useless(except for Dragon healing, YMMV). Good luck!

Disagree with a few comments here:
-Dugong: Regen isn't pointless. It's powered up my golems, etc during quite a few (all) trial stages to the point their lifespan has extended many times over. Now if you said heal was pointless, then I'd agree (for the most part).
-NessFalcon: Try having golems advance against magic without items. Now give it a magic ring. See a difference? The early items do nothing noticeable, the platinum and up items all do something helpful. Besides, 10% more damage relatively = 10% faster kills = 10% faster games. A 30 minute game would then be 33.33 minutes without items... and that's counting lower tier items.

You guys should've spent more time thinking about how to make the game better than Epic War 4, not rush it and release a half-baked game like this. Heroes that become useless as the game gets harder, interface screens that make me pull my hair out (it's tedious to go back and forth in the upgrade screen for different units, also what's with the cheap wood backdrop?), and worst of all, upgrades. The upgrades felt much more worthwhile in Epic War 4, whereas here I feel like maxed out units barely get any survivability. I'm a big fanatic of the Epic War series, but this one really just made me sick. It made me sick because I tried SO HARD to love it, but in the end I just couldn't.
Summary: Take your time and don't rush it. And please, don't sacrifice epicness just for an easy port to mobiles like you said earlier. I freaking love the genre you created, and I don't want to see it start rolling downhill like this.

for epic war 6 they shud put an option to upgrade things for your hero like upgrade speed,upgrade attack speed,resistance to magic and melee. it would bring a whole new element of gameplay to epic war. + if u think this is a good idea!!!

Colossus is very simple. Have ranged units, and spam the most abundant melee units you can. The colossus has to pause to hit each melee unit. So if hordes of weak melee come at him, he has to stop to hit each of them. Back up the ranged units as he kills the melee. Eventually he will hit an equilibrium near your hero, where the units outnumber how many he can kill. The ranged will just work him down from there.
