How is the freakin world do you beat the colossus in trial one? I have ripped through everything else other then this guy, he just wrecks me.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Colossus tip: keep him attacking melee units to slow him down; titans aren't useful because they die just as fast as a goblin. Melee can't really damage him much, so use other units for that. Make sure his other units can't attack your tanks. Rage helps with damage. Hope these hints help :).

Awwwwwwww :( where did the usual spell method go? I want my fireball back... I don't like this casting way. Also I don't like the mana, I liked more the recharging time. And I like to summon turrets everywhere (LOL) but I feel small and weak without my big beautiful castle at the beginning of the screen. Plus my hero has to stay back and never fights, because if he dies you lose; I usually used him as a very powerful unit that attacks, attacks, attacks. But I like that you have to kill a boss to complete every level.About the graphics: I LOVE the battle graphic, but I don't like the menu and the map. :)

The game is just repeating.. and its not going in a good direction at all... Make some sort of dynamic gameplay or in depth upgrade system or new battle commands... its just.. I dont know. 1 to two was a huge upgrade. 2 to 3 was a big change but was soso. 3 to 4 was a nice little upgrade but similar and somewhat tired. 4 to 5.... 5 has so much to desire..

I'm sorry i have to agree with the few that are slightly disappointed with this installment. The whole setup seems rather bland to me I loved the idea of having a story, but it seemed to lack the usual graphics and game-play depth which I've grown to love through the other Epic War games. I'm sorry but it feels to me like a more amateur game then I'm used to seeing from you all which surprised me a lot. the text storyline and basic button use and standard popup window design for choices just made the game less appealing than the others. I'll give you a by on this one as long as you promise to make 6 super duper epic ;)

HUGE fan of the series, but I am finding 5 to be a let down. Trivial difficulty to beat the story, no real involvement once the battle has started, and no real depth of content on the scenarios.

Im dissapointed. Theres no strategy / tactic whatsoever at all in this game. Just a few buttons to push, you dont need to think and you can finish the game in around 1-2 hrs. Thats not epic. I gets 3 starts although it deserves 2. Im still hoping for a complete game here.

good thing that they added a story just like EW3, although only one hero can be used, attacking graphics are much more awesome that the previous EWs, skills became harder to use, yes, map became small yet its a big advantage to long range units, blood are gore got better, and big problem when losing, and needs accessory shop

i dont like saying it rudy but i agree with d swabey. the graphics might be better but i dont feel like i am playing epic war. the upgrade system feels off. like items and all the different units. It is a good game, but not an epic war game. 2/5 because i swore i would never give one of your games 1/5

stuff isn't explained very well, but i figured it out and it ended up fantastic. we need and epic war six within two or three years!!!!

I would say that the only real issue for me is the lack of enemy activity. There is very little to stop you just sending all your troops ahead and leaving your boss at home. In EW3, you had to be proactive from the get go to hold your own, never mind win!

I have to agree with d swabey on quite a few things he said. The removal of drag and click, no selecting individual units, the limited UI, the simplistic and somewhat cartoony graphics, no restart level option, slow response to commands, Altar of Healing heals everyone including enemies, can’t destroy buildings in order to create new ones in better locations...At least I know the reason for these things; the possible port to mobile. Unfortunately, when you gear a game towards one platform it generally suffers on others. The story (what there was of it) bits of text have such a bland, Powerpoint-ish presentation I couldn’t believe it. As a standalone, it’s not a bad game at all. It’s quite good. However, it’s gone from strategy to endless zerging. It doesn’t deliver the Epic that its predecessors brought. I’m sorry to be so harsh, as I am a big fan of the series, but this one very much failed to deliver.

Another problem: Heroes are FAR TOO WEAK. If you accidentally hit "X" instead "C", then your hero is going to die in seconds. And you will lose.

30 units, OK
70 skills, OK
and
30 accessories,O...Oh no i have only 29!
What's the one left to "super robo suit" and how to get it if it realy exist?

Not sure why but the game keeps glitching and keeps me from being able to play. Whenever I go to the formation screen it wont let me close it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really dont like idea that you lose with a death of your hero, especially because he becomes useless at later levels because he dies very easily...

Having played through the entire game and obtaining all of the badges, I can say with utmost certainty. "F*** THOSE MOTHERF****** POWER GOBLINS!!!" Other than that, good game. :)

To beat the Absolute Final Bonus Boss: She heals back HP proportional to HP of units she hits (or something along the lines of that), so do not use huge units as she will heal faster than you can damage and just spam masses of high pop (Goblins + Hobbits + Dwarves + Vampires + Archers) against her near your side of border with Rage - this also works as quick grind. On a separate note, I finished everything, but I STILL don't have all units. I have all achievements save for the one that requires you to unlock all units, beat every level, extra level and trial level. Am I missing something?

great part of the sequel, but i agree with d_swabey.
also, i would like to have a hover-over tooltip of the stats of my units in the formation tab, this would speed up my desicions which unit i want to "equip" or not.

I stopped playing this game when I completed Trial 2 without getting the Iron Fortress rewarded. I figured I'd come back when the bug was fixed. Years later, I remember this game and... nope. Still can't unlock the fortress. I guess I need to wipe my data to get around that old bug, but f*** that.

With each game the graphics get better but the skills and how everything is set up gets worse, please make skills better (not to mention heroes)

I was about to say that the game needed a fast-forward button when I found... A fast-forward button! (It's in the pause menu if anyone didn't know.)

Love this series. The xp that you get after your units are maxed out should go towards upgrading towers and walls. The walls were very useful but I honestly didn't find the need to use one of the other attack or healing towers throughout the whole game, mostly because they were too weak for me to waste the third of my mana on

Having come back to this game (and series) for the (most likely) 7th time (and also commenting on it for ages) I can safely say that this is the easiest game of them all in terms of how little grinding you have to do to beat it. You can actually beat it without doing ANY replays of a level, and there are only 25 levels. That being said I still like it immensely and feel a bit sad whenever i see a comment that focuses on purely degrading this game. While it may be simplistic (like the other games imo) it is still fun to play.

Games shouldn't be exactly the same for 2 different devices. It's clear the game is made for mobiles, but it takes away a lot. I know it couldn't have better effects because phones wouldn't handle it, but I'm not playing it on a phone. And it's nothing special for me. Reminds me of one of belugerin's games, like age of defense or any other generic game. It really looks rushed, but not like you run out of time. More like you thought it would be a good idea to make a slightly different game with less effort because you had no better ideas in mind. Bring back the epicness! Better effects, graphics, more fluidness, epic war 1 and 2 look and play better. Good job on riding epic war brand so far.
