how to beat: last hope for the fire titan unit.
first, you are going to need mage, ranger, centurion, hell raider, and maybe the anubis spawn. you will also need a "titan" card, such as the white wolf. all units must be maxed out. wait until you have 100 mana. then build 4 walls near the swordswoman. if she starts attacks the walls, start over and put them farther away. then wait till 100 mana again and attack. push her back by placing the walls on her and keep shoving your range units. make sure your hero nver moves. you should win. thats how i did it.

There's something wrong....when i bet the lord of hell i unlocked the iron fortess,by the archivement....but the archievement says:"beat the goblin rangers"...

It would be nice if this game was like Stick War, where you could take control of one certain character and fight as them, with increased strength. Those who have played Stick War know what I'm talking about.

I dunno why but i found Trial 5 extremely easy. I used succubus, wizard, witch, centurion, hunter and iron fortress as Queen Etheriea. Iron fortress was at the front and the rest were behind. Regen kept iron fortress at full hp and the rest did damage. Now for Trial 1...

Why some of the players ask about the hardness of the TRIAL quest/mission of the game when its been classified as EXTREMELY HARD !!!! DON'T ask for anything that will make it easy like more equip slot or more hp for hero or the likes...the TRUTH IS....... IT CAN BE BEATEN using the "RIGHT units" and the HERO'S WORK ONLY IS TO SURVIVE so let him stay at the inital point and just use his skill...

Holy crap. I know so many people have said this already: Hero dies to easily, should've made castle. Now, I TOTALLY agree with that, but maybe this is a more doable suggestion: Add a few extra pages of upgrades and allow more accessories on the hero. Just the hero! Not all the monsters! (That would be cool, but it might make things to easy.)

The Wandering Swordsman can be really easy, or really long and hard (that was sexual)
Have one really defensive tank (I use black dragon with Omega Badge) that will survive through the whole thing. Make everybody else as offensive as possible- mainly Titans or ranged units though. She gains health based on the damage she deals, so casting that regenerate is just gonna let her gain health. Instead, once all your units are present, cast a rage- she will drop health very quickly. Your units will start to die before she does though, so once they start to, start casting regenerate. Her health will almost reach an equilibrium. Your tank should survive until all the other units are back. Cast rage again, and it should be over- if not, just rinse and repeat.
Thumbs up so all the bullshit strategies stop.

I think spells should be separated from the units. I don't mind unlocking units to use spells, its just that it's really annoying to keep having to click back on forth on a unit to use spells...what happened to the separate spell bars in the first 4?

I love the person who had the idea to give an imp steriods for millions of years then make the biggest sword and have it destroy anything. That is something I would do!

This is a great game, the art is nice, the gameplay is fine, I found no bugs so far, but I think it should show all the spells for all your units if you click your hero. It saves time when I try to remember which unit had that spell I needed to heal up etc etc.

My opinion, the old skill trees were better but overall like the game. I also think there needs to be a spell bar on the top to make it easier to hit spells instead of clicking your hero and then the spell.

Send all of your units except the hero forward and turn on 3X speed. Now do that for every main campaign mission so you don't get bored for too long.

It's too bad that the red stages aren't hard, they just take a loooong time... like the iron golem in the 'go goblins go' stage... it's not hard at all it just takes AGES making me suicide my hero so i can gtfo... This is the first epic war i'm going to rate 4/5 stars... the others are just better.

Quick note, it would be really nice to scroll through your active groups and be able to equip accessories without having to go back and forth between screens.

For those having trouble with colossus equip goblin with a flaming chariot (speed boost) every other unit have it be ranged. Goblins will keep him busy wile you chip at his health with ranged. Just keep moving the ranged units back as he advances so they don't get pounded and eventually he will go down. Hope that helps.

Just finnished all Trials here are some Tips that might help ppl having hard time:1. For Colossus: use fast small unit, i used Gobling, to make him advance slower, each time Collosus tries to kill a Goblin he stands still and the time for Collossus to stand up and go foraward again takes 2 sec or somthin, so with fast respawin Goblings runnin at the Collosus = win.

There is a bug in accessory panel. When You click on empty item field then it select an item from the prievous page.
Good idea would be add an arrows to change army creatures in accessory panel. It would help with faster equip own army.

How do you get the absolute tyrant achievement? Even after finishing the extra stages and trials, some units are still locked. And the units don't seem to carry over to the other heroes.

I always liked epic wars series but this one is kinda desapointing.I think this is a downgrade and prefer much more with the castle a hp and respawn hero.This game are not nearly a epic a epic war 4.The graphic were much better,especialy the map and the awesome titans,choosing wich unit we want to unlock was realy good in epic war 4.Same with the high variety of spell.Why we can't hold and drag now?Just make another version for mobiles duh.Go back to the old style please,my little army was fun,but epic wars 3 and 4 where much better.Now i feel this game less..Epic.

I've always been a big fan of the Epic War games, but, honestly, this one feels more like a simulation than a game. You just press charge and then wait until you win. The first and second games are probably my favorites in the series because they felt more involved. The battles felt more intense and fast paced. I'm not sure if it was the method of deploying the units, or something else, or if I'm totally off-base, and just growing out of the series.

~~EW4 : complexified then upgrade system, you had to choose what to level and what not to. Also added relation between heroes and units. Basically the same as EW2, without towers, but more epic in all ways.
~~EW5 (aka ewww) : Basically, you tried to add identity to the game. You are the hero controlling your troops. So if you die, you can't go on and you can equip your troops with accessories. However, what this game lacks is the epicness of prior games... scenes aren't as badass anymore, there is no (or really few) new units/spells. Strategies are still the same (tank with "hobbits", DPS with range), you made offensive magics useless due to enormous mana cost... you added magics to the units, but your hero cast them and the effect is the same if there is 16 or 0 of them out there. You allowed us to summon buildings, which are useless. removed the difficulty, I actually had trouble with only 1 or 2 scenarios in the whole 19 levels.

I would like to say epic game... however this game didn't attract me that much...
First of all, I agree with D_swabey, you really "created" a genre and continued to set the standards up until now, here is in my opinion the actual development :
~~EW1 : created a new genre where an enormous army kills endless spawn of evil doers. Simple upgrades, simple creature selection, really simple spells, interesting storyline.
~~EW2 : added the feeling of invasion where you had to upgraqde your outpost to dish out better damages, also better spell system. Also allowed you to actually choose what level to do.
~~EW3 : removed the tower (I think it's for the best, towers were OP), added hero choice, and pseudo-random loots, also changed from an invasion scenario to a total war scenario. IMO graphics became epic at this point. Also the first one with revenge waves IIRC.
