it would be useful to have an attack conversion to movement steps. Sometimes you don't know if you'll get two attacks off after moving or just one. Also, a defense to movement conversion.

Anyone else having problems with the game not saving your progress? I just spent an hour playing, restarted a level after getting the message "progress saved", but it hadn't been saved, and I'm now back 3 levels compared to where I was :( Until that point, I'd really been enjoying the game...

you should be able to undo something like when you put defense but you press it incorectly you should be able to undo that.

That game is acually RELATIVE good. But its bad that you cant do again missions youve already completed. Make a new version of this. Maybe better.

It's really good. the very same, but somehow new and I enjoyed it a lot. I would appreciate more levels, higher difficulty or higher max. lvl of your troops. I didn't repeat any level and the game was easy. Only the last level takes more time, but it was because you have to wait for all the monsters to jump out of their holes. mostly important, the game is excellent and I'm looking forward to the promised sequel ;)

Completed the game and I think it's amazing but the lack of a speed up button and the small choice in weapons was discouraging so I gave it 4 stars. I think they should make a bigger game with more characters.

1. Try to make sure you have 400 credits before the 10th level. Pretty hard if you don't.
2. If you didn't, like me, it can be a bit of a chore but it is no problem. First go to the opening in the ground closest to you. Take it out with Magma and wait for one large creature to get close. Blow it up! Next head to the opposite corner of the map with the other hole. Why? It is easier to pull them into that trap than the other. Make you way there, shut the gate, and wait for another large creature. Then head to the last barrel. This one can be a bit tricky. You cannot just pull one past it (they will circle around). The easiest way I found to do this is to sacrifice two of your men (the creatures only have two AP for attacking). Put one on each side, otherwise the creature will move away after attacking. Once it hits both, blow the barrel up. Mission complete.

great game! i just wish there was a way to mute the sound or access an "options" menu. also, it would help to be able to see a character's stats after it's done moving/defending/attacking, etc to know how much danger you're in from the enemies. Otherwise, i like the Halo-esque characters and think this is a pretty unique game!

A clearer of how to play:The bulgy green box is a money box while the yellow flat box is the ammo box.Use defense mode, its good as it can counter attack enemies.Try to get all credit boxes for bayonets and grenade launcher.

level 11, last 20 waves, seems easy enough, gets into mission 20 waves of pure boring hell, needs fast forward please

Sorry about beings negative but turn-based strategy games are time consuming. Every little annoyance and problem can make the game drag. I might be pointing out some things that are more a personal gripe but it's my opinion as a gamer who does try to enjoy these types of games.

I couldn't help but notice things that weren't included. You can't view any enemy info including their hp/movement. Which I don't like but understand it can make for a more challenging experience. You can't view your own guys stats after they move. This however, is annoying, as it hinders planning out your moves, especially when it comes to planning out your next turn. You also can't undo a move, so if you accidentally moved Alpius when you meant to move Celsius, too bad. It seems each guy can only hold one weapon but this isn't stated. On top of that you have to buy back any weapons you may have purchased if you're not holding it. I had to waste creds finding this out. I'm fine with having each guy carrying a different weapon but it would have been nice to have this info beforehand.

It seems that if you corner some monsters and give them nowhere to move it freezes up the game. I cornered the last of the ranged attack monsters on the third level and when it got to the enemy turn the game froze.

This is a solid foundation for a game, it plays well and it looks great! I hope that you'll continue with this project. I was disappointed when the difficulty slumped after the (admittedly really cool) platforming level.

enemy animations messed up and the game froze 2 turns before I could complete 9th level... Now I have to restart the whole lvl. So instead I quit shitty turn of events

very good game. in the begining it can b a little hard, and you will lose sometimes. but when you get level 2 skills and assault rifle, its very easy
hints: use defend! its the best thing in game...
dont shot with hot weapon!
when you have assault rifle, meele oponets down to save ammo
have at least one sniper in defend mode in a good position, save ammo crates for him
have fun lol as i had

While the animation is certainly impressive, I'd prefer simpler animations if it meant moving and waiting for enemy moves didn't take as long.
gameplay > graphics

I instantly thought of Incubation when I started playing this game. It's good to see an adaptation of an old classic.

I love this game its very like the old Ufo from the amiga. But simple i like the weapons upgrades and the AP just one thing (and i may have missed this) but is there an amo indicator anywhere.

Excellent game. Reminds me a lot of X-Com. I really enjoyed the feel of the assault rifle (specifically the melee attack). The level design was well done and the overall progress felt very compelling. The skill point system was a bit wonky and the power stat felt very under utilized. The challenge tapers off as you progress. Overall though 5/5 good work.

A Good and fun game. Nice break from the norm and nostalgic with the quake/unreal look to it.
If a level editor is possible, would be an awesome addition.

I may be good at strategy games... but this game was not hard like some people are saying it is. Fun! Just use bayonet's if you're out of ammo, station a guy caddy-corner to an opening with a bayonet, and have him defend, he'll kill all the critters that come out!

mostly a great game, just wish i could undo a single move or round instead of having to start the whole thing over. 9/10

there just isn't any fun factor with this game. There's no point in playing a game if you don't have fun while doing it.

The game is good, but one thing made me angry: I didn't loot all the credits on a map where I got the info of the grenade launcher. So I had only 350 creds for the next mission where there were the enemies that can only be killed with grenades. No way to redo the previous mission, so my only chance is to start the whole game from the beginning again. The game is good, but not for playing it over and over.

Great game with a good balence between progression and difficulty, although its easy to exploit the game and hide around a corner then let the creatures find you and stab them with the Bayonet.
I would love to see a follow up that builds on this foundation with perhaps more emphasis on customization and character development as well as more involved missions/a well written campaign story. All in all, Good work!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, the only thing this game needs is a way to replay levels for XP and credits. You don't set up your characters right and the game becomes impossible at the end.

Not a bad core concept - decent port of Space Hulk - but you have ridiculously little ammo (seriously, not enough ammo to take down even ONE alien?!). And please, please, don't put a button that a person would reasonably click that cancels out of a just completed mission without saving it!
