I personally dont see the purpose of badges. Why do people always say "This game needs badges." Does it take away from the gameplay not to have an objective. A serious question.

A lot like Warlords: Call to arms, but better in the sense that you cant rely on one unit to destroy everything and the fact that you have to buy your units and you can loose them. My only recommendations are a bigger battle field, I find myself without time to react to the enemy often, and more unit types. If you want to do something that's never been done before the make a unit creator with Armour and weapons and personalities for them like passive or aggressive. Great game, 5/5 and favorited :)

for this game to have badges it needs a high rating and highscores(?) and this would be an epic multiplayer game. 5/5

this takes me back to when I used to play Age of Empires and Rome: Total War. This game is brilliant, Sam is a freaking genius. I've always loved strategy and defense games, I find them more challenging but more fun than other kinds of games. So far, this is one of the best I have ever played.

very easy, just buy the best horses and don't use any other units. Try to get the chavalry discount asap! (64 command points instead of 80 is a huge difference)

the macedonian pikeman should be one of the best soldiers.
and btw do you know why alexander the macedonian always attacked on the east??
-->because of the sun.
-->their shield were made of pure gold and when it was combined with the sun, it blinded other soldiers.

best thing to ever happen to this genre of games. seriously needs a badge though. The idea of enemy armies reaching out to attack you is truly one of a kind.
@tdogg
Not exactly. The immortals, though lightly armed, were equipped with 2m long spears (equal to greek hoplites), and their shields were of better quality then the wicker shields of the sparabara. The exact numbers of the immortals are 10,000, which constitutes only a tiny portion of the total Persian force. Underneath their robes they wore scale armour, making them the most heavily armoured infantry in the Persian army. But what is inaccurate is that Persian swords were rather short, and the archaeminid persian army were 80-90% archers, unlike what was presented in the game.

Awesome game. You can tend to develop your own strategies along the way. For instance, once I have built up enough points, I will send 6 strong units to move forward, with several cheaper weaker units behind them. No matter what the unit, the bar above the screen moves the same length. It's too bad there were no large siege weapons to use or fortresses that you had to break through in order to conquer the land. Still, 5/5.

Not historically accurate about the immortals, the immortals were a lightly armed and lightly armoured group of people who numbered in the thousands, and they were called the immortals because when you killed on, another would take his place
