Son of zeus mode in 5 years!! (taking 1 province each turn)
I used almost only cavalry, except for Cilicia and Dacia, were i used also javelinmen to take the infantry.
The charge ability is very powerfull if u use it well.

there should be some "high scores" or something like that: kill/death ratio, gold earned/time taken... i had 859,400 gold over 9.5 years, 819 deaths for 3147 kills, difficulty emperor (i tried to start in "son of zeus" but lost pretty quickly, mighty me)
also the emperor darius is a piece of cake, he barely has 90 units to deploy ! ! outnumber him and you're done!

still funny to see people saying "press + for badges" when you just have to press the "+" of those who already are in the top comments!
looove the game, but cavaliers need new special abilities, they all have "charge"!

love this game and i hope u can have sieges like warlords 2 but ppl who are complaining give the game the true rating5/5 good job looking forward to the sequel a total new war cant wait! plus if u agree

I like it how you can take on the masses of armies of the persians with just a little army. Makes you feel like you are Alexander yourself (the real Persian army was huge too, larger than the Macedonian army anyway).

Caution Spoiler: Zeus mode in 13.5 years with only Pikemen! Upgrade long spear. Defend Macedonia or Thrace against the weakest army. Don't go a turn with both of them defeated. Head Noth via Sythia then East then South and capture Persia while upgrading money and leadership. Upgrade defense and attack and recovery. After that 50 pikemen can take on any army whatsoever when sent on one line in a stream.
There is an annoying bug that shows a black error messgage after a certain point of the game. Otherwise, great game and even semi-educational.

bobertlyer's hint is actually good specially the 3rd hint.. and just adding something its better to get about 6-8 lands for bigger income, since you already have greece and macedonia so just conquer Illyria, Dacia, Thrace, Scythia, Lydia, Phrygian.

There should be an "Attention!Enemy attacking territory!" instead of just having the enemy invade my territory and 3 seconds later...Game Ovah

also i use the hypaspist as my main soldier(by it before any weapon upgrades or other units but after a few money researches, it's a greek god send) and use scout cavalry swarming when my foot soldiers push them back to the edge.

Getting sick of them stupid archers? Try waiting until there are right next to your spawning place and dish our 1 soldier. Saved me a lot of people. Please rate this up so it may help many others!

Why does the cavalry slam through the spearmen easily? Even militia spearmen against scout cavalry, spearmen always wins.

GO STRAIGHT TO PERSIA. once you beat them, you can just load up on cahs and upgrade everything by ending days. they cant attack you

Wow..Once u got the most expensive unit (Cavalry companion) its like ur invincible, just stack units behind it and it will burst through enemy lines like there was nothing.
