Good game but you should be able to sell troops if you want to restructure your army to a specific level and you don't have the troops you want and want to get to get rid of some for a specific strategy,

Thanks for making troop placement easier! One more streamlining request, then this game will really play well: Don't make me click the X every time to close the troop placement window. Just let me click the next square to place a troop. Then you can set up your line nice and quick.

There's a glitch in the game. Once you beat the level with no objectives, which you said was unbeatable, it takes you to the War Report screen, but it won't let you save and continue. Also, the game is a little easy. I wasted nine or so upgrades on my general, which was never needed in battle, and I still was never in any real danger of losing any of the conflicts up to the level where it wouldn't allow me to continue.

why elite pikeman default at 6, not 10. i would like if you can order your units to attack straight ahead at first priority, not lower hp. attacking side ways too often cause your line to break too easily. despite some units being locked, elite archers are easily the best unit in the game. arrange your units with elite pikeman infront, archer in middle and elite archer at the back, will allow all 3 units attack the target if it is still alive. elite archers make good flanking options and as well as keeping enemies from moving pass through any gaps.

I DO NOT appreciate making it half way through the game on Kongregate only to find some units can only be gotten at another site. 1 star.

Same thing happened to me at level 18. Is it some kind of joke? Is the victory conditions really nothing? Does the game end there? The level was not hard, but if you lose when you win, it is basically game over.

Captain: be careful with your men, we only have a few left.
Me: I have 1000 spearmen and 1000 archers I think we will survive

Ok sorry, this one completely did not do it for me. There's a lot wrong... repetitive music, uninvolving game play, unable to control your troops once the battle has started... it plays more like a puzzle game than a strategy game. Simply figure out where your guys go, then press start. It works or it doesn't. 1/5, sorry.

Solid graphics, but the game is much too slow even with animations turned off. Add to that you must manually set the position of every single unit even if you're restarting a battle (it should keep your old setup in case you just want to tweak a little) and the game really makes itself difficult to enjoy.

Good game although placing units became very tedious towards the end making other than that a speed button would help.

Uumm i didnt use strategy all i did was pile the whole map with random fighters and just over took them and out numbered them.

Glitch; if you click your general when placing troops it causes an auto-lose when you start the battle. -_-. This glitch has prevented me to continue, and I have lost intrest.

Level 18- You fail if you succeed? Lame. I mean, it was an easy enough battle to win by filling every square with Defenders. Had something like 200 troops left over after. Also, hotkey to click the menu for what unit you're choosing yesplz.

being able to reply with your old formation would be useful
so i can adapt it rather than having to memorise what i did and which parts worked

well, at the 15th lvl the warning to lose many units is.. err.. ^^ yes, useless :D
well done for me, i lost 48 allies.. *smile*
i must say, more luck than brain

Looking at the guide, resources are awarded per hit, so you are way better off to create a mass of smaller stacks and get far more resources by prolonging the battle. I don't see why it should be that way, but it solves one big problem I was having in advancing.

it frickin erased my data halfway through. like the game, but it's way memory intensive. needs the option of turning off the animation before even entering battle mode. needs better mouse over on unit stats as well. might need some kind of difficulty level where it caps the # of units you can have. otherwise you just replay a level or two and spam units to win blindly.

Well, you don't need to press x after you pick your troops, it is only click on the tile again, and the window will be closed. After that, if you want to repeat the unit and quantity, it is only click again on the tile, and so on.

and soldiers should hit back in my tour and in computer tour. Anyway, this is one of teh greatest flash games. Too bad that it was played so few times :(

I love the game, though i agree it would be nice to have a few more options when giving your troops orders, and that there is maybe too much of clicking to place your units. A good plan is to just make a line of spear men (defenders when you get them) archers elite archers and count out the squares so you hit their line before they hit yours. Also, keep in mind you can place really weak units as a sponge to take a full hit if you are going to kill their front line then get smashed by their second or something. Also you can use singletons set on defense as stoppers for stronger forces set on aggressive behind them, since they wont be able to move forward until the singleton is killed. + if you agree/like the advice

overall not bad. needs hot keys for assigning units and to be able to change the starting location of your general. 4/5
