While playing RotterDAMN, I couldn't help but look at the background. The words "Seizure much?" kept popping up in the background, and I thought to myself, "Who do they actually expect to have a seizure from looking at this?" I then noticed the OTHER phrase that kept flashing on and off while the song played: "You! [Because you're screwed]". I realized that it was all a clever ploy to distract my attention, but too late: I failed the song and had a seizure--of frustration. Well played, RotterDAMN, well played.

Great game, but it appears like some of the 'notes' have been placed in reverse? In keyboard style, if you hit slightly after the beat in some sections, rather then getting a perfect on the note being played, you get a miss on the next note. I dunno if this was intentional, but I uploaded a photo of the issue I'm talking about http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y174/DarkSkaners/DJManiax.png

Easiest way to earn the hard badge is on just two songs. Both "Love the World" and "Mode 7 Hype Mix" are only a lvl 6 difficulty in crazy, and are insanely easy to 2 star (So, 4 stars between the 2 songs). Then pick one of the 2 to go back and get 100% fantastic and the fifth star. I chose Mode 7 because it uses barely any of the number row or spacebar notes.
Seriously, this is pretty much a free 30 points.

Feels like the cue marker is drunk. It goes fast, then it goes slow, then it decides to jump forward a bit. Why cant you just make the notes further (or closer) apart?

I'm a big fan of this, 5/5. A rhythm game that's different enough to be interesting but still well done with a solid system behind it. Of course the fact I like it so much could be because I'm a fan of ITG/stepmania and the design influence here is obvious. Keyboard mode is fun, not a fan of mouse control but I really wish I could play this on a touch screen, I have a feeling it would be awesome. The one thing I feel is holding it back from really being able to handle some serious difficulty is that when the notes start coming too fast the screen starts getting so cluttered, making the timing colours useless and making it hard to see some elements like the multi-tap notes.

this game is da bomb!! It takes me back to the days when I was playing Stepmania on PC

Gawd, some songs are pretty much impossible with mouse controls >,>
Anyways, you put IOSYS songs. In a game. That's on Kong.
SWEET JESUS YESSSSS

This game made me realise what a short attention span I have...
Me: YES ALL FANTA-....... ooooh what's that in the background? *loses* SHOOT!

Anyone else notice that seven Circles on crazy difficulty has the difficulty number change and strobe and turn the bar white?

It's hard to see the drag notes when they are behind another note and the screen has tons of notes. Maybe you should make their shape different, maybe a diamond or a square.

With the intro to Dash Hopes III EX, I was prepared for Through the Fire and Flames, and was about to wet myself. After playing it, my monitor exploded, my fingers broke, and I had to be admitted into a mental ward. That song... THAT SONG!

I hate the clunky rhythm games out there where the controls are lousy and have to be callibrated because they lag like hell.
This game on the other hand has a great soundtrack, flawless gameplay, and great videos too. Monotune Respect was awesome LOL.

I was playing the first songs and I was like "God this game is boring and the music sucks". Then I got to the jap song and it cracked me up. 5/5 because it's actually challenging at hard difficulty.

LOVED the game. I never comment but this game is my favorite on Kongregate in ages. As a rhythym game player this was great fun but the hard badge was practically easy! I have put more effort into medium badges multiple times and IMO this game also deserved an impossible badge for maybe getting one star on every song or something like that because I would have liked to have some incentive to try to score high after I unlocked everything. But amazing game, great fun. CONGRATS!

Whew, got the hard badge. From the "starter song", I did 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. Couldn't do song 5 on crazy. The others -- especially in tier 2, are a bit too tough for me.

This game makes me beyond overjoyed...
It is a rhythm game, its a mix of all other rhythm games, I know most of the songs, the songs known for gimmicks kept said gimmicks here (monotune is excellent example), and the interface is actually incredibly well done. If you developed this a lot more and add more songs, I'd consider throwing money at you. Now if only I had a tablet...

@unklfester so do most games and yes flashing lacks imagination but so do many of the worlds favourite traditions and sports and the majority of fun things that doesnt mean theyre not fun
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Utterly irresponsible flashing the background as it does on the Rotterdam song. Anyone susceptible to seizures would likely have had one. not to mention the fact that it is plain annoying and lacks imagination.

i've figured out the ranking system:
3 stars-100%
2 stars-98-99.99%
1 star-96-97.99%
S-90-95.99%
A+-85-89.99%
A-80-84.99%
B-75-79.99%
C-70-74.99%
D-65-69.99%
(i don't know if there is an E rank, but each grade goes by 5%, except for the stars)
F-fail a song
YOU"RE PLAYING IT WRONG-get negative judgement(below 0%)
