I decided that after collecting everything that I'd run around for a bit. I was going through the magma cavern and fell into the lava just to learn I could evade it. Never knew that someone standing in lava could evade it.

This game is one of the best on Kongregate, by far. It may be inspired by upgrade complete, but this Level up, it takes the concept to an entirely new level. It don't just need a sequel, it deserves one.

to anyone wondering, to get the computer to allow you to use it your five base skills have to be level 5 (running, jumping, healing, ext.)
thus, i am pretty sure if you work hard you can activate it on day 0, something for me to work on saying i can 100% the game of everything but sleep skill by day 1 :D
To those wondering about the monsters, you can't kill them, they just float around,
to those wondering about the radar, its useless from all i can tell
great game, wish the sequal will come out already, its been over a year(maybe even 2?), so it better be good when it comes out, heck i would settle for a good prequel, just better be good for the wait XD

Here's my hint to unfailingly beat the nightmare: get regen and hardy. Stand still. Win. Not joking, though occasionally you'll have to jump once to collect the gems. It's a very easy way to get the heartbreaker achiev, and can be easily accomplished on the first night. Other than that amazing game, looking forward to the sequel.

Great game, Demo was a bit buggy but that is understandable. Over all it was fun to play... I enjoy replaying this game over and over.

"To be continued..." Hmmm. Admittedly, the explanation did leave a bit hanging. Interesting story, though. Nice spin on a retro platformer style.

jump when he uses the throw techinque even if you get hit, then use "air dodge" or whatever so you wont be stuned and youll start healing faster
dash into a wall and it will charge at you, really usefull for tricking him into his "magic" attack then just dash again to get the gems
you can double your max hp by giving 250 gems to the boy in 50 gem portions
just double jump for the slash attack
to get doublejump go to the sky tower and jump off the LEFT side or the RIGHT side it doesnt matter too much however its the cheapest "sell-out" with only 100 gems
hardy is the HARDest lol just give brains 150 gems
if you cant get the guitar from that rebel roundite simply go find a baby squarite who offers the same trick for 150 gems
Beat the race course for dash....or get it from the squarite with the stripped shirt for 150 gems

I'd rate this higher than 3, but the boss is so annoying. I've died about 3 or so times now, and had to restart. Every.Time.

+ this for those who haven't gone to titch's profile, Level up 2 is called gather up, if you get 100% completion then sit through credits, you can play demo of gather up

It was cool. Until I had to sleep, of course. And of course I died and lost all of my progress. Good idea for a game, but stupid as hell idea for a daily event. Hey look! You worked hard getting all those gems and leveling up those skills, how about a boss that is extremely hard to kill that if you die against, removes all of your skills and work you did!
The worst part is, I was doing well killing him. I had almost full HP and he had about 1/3 of his life. Then all of the sudden he disappeared, my HP went to full, and I lost all of my progress! Awesome!

Great game. I finally understand how the heck did the adventurer dude lost his memory and found out that the girl's name is Sable. Even though she is a power-mad-ruthless-sword-swing-evil-girl, she still gets heartbroken by the end of the game.
