Under rating threshold (show) !!!!!!IMPORTANT!!!!!! This comment is about the sequel! When Titch finished Level up! he wanted to make a sequel. He started making it until 2010,when he got a full time job as a flash developer and didn't want to code home after work. The sequel is called Gather up! and it has a prototype. Under rating threshold (show) By the way, for those that can't find the last six gems, stand at the bottom-right part of the triangle at the top of the tower next to the squarian village, dash to the right and double jump. You should reach a platform with the last gems. To get the last codex entry (not counted), talk to the brainy squarian three times.

Under rating threshold (show) Vote To Keep Alive plz: defeat the boss is very simple, the first part (before the lazers) is simple and you must only avoid his attacks, But when he/she starts to use lazers you must stay on a platform on one of the sides, jump to avoid his slash and fall on him and be stunned. he will try to hit you but he can't if you are stunned and the rocks will fall on him giving you the black gems :)

Under rating threshold (show) Keep this post up if you can!!! Hint on how to beat the nightmare: Double jump is pretty much necessary.... More hearts and hardy make it easier, but they aren't necessary. What you need to do is get good jump and run. Higher fortitude, relationship, and getting hardy will help, but as I said earlier, they aren't necessary. What I did was just double jump from one platform to the other back and forth. Avoid the lasers and his swords when he throws them.. Other than that, just try to lure him in so he gets hit with his own comets, then collect the black crystals after he gets hit. REGEN definitely helps, and is pretty much necessary. After you defeat the nightmare once, you keep all your skills, but you must defeat it again the next night. (Or just go to the computer the day after you defeat it and activate it to beat the game.. I'm pretty sure the computer requires you to get all 5 of the huge crystals.) Hope it helps everyone!!

Under rating threshold (show) Wow I really liked the bonus (100% complete) game's fighting engine (I really missed not being able to kill enemies in the main game). I hope in the next game you become the boy and reuse that system in some way after some polish. Probably too much to hope for a sequel after 3 years, but really nice job. 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Good trick for fighting the boss: If you are having trouble dodging his attacks or getting him to hit himself, dash into a wall. You won't take damage but you will be stunned and temporarily invulnerable as though you had. This will allow you to heal or get the boss to chase you into the boulders safely.

Under rating threshold (show) Creator knows the issue exits. issue is not browser specific, is Flash Version Specific. those able to run on different browsers have a (at least) slightly older version installed for that browser (there is an IE one, a Firefox one, and a "whatever else there is" one - each can potentially be a different version)

Under rating threshold (show) How to defeat your nightmare. You need at least: Jump level 3 Run level 3 fortitude level 4 healing level 3.... ~~~~ Level up your person as much as you can. Get hit a lot. Buy all the skills if you can. When your nightmare comes, he'll summon meteors as his first move. Just run around and try to make it hit him. His other attacks include throwing swords at you (if you let him level his magic) and putting up annoying fireballs to block your way. Once he hits himself, he'll drop gems. GET THE GEMS. They damage the dude. If you don't Plus this, then idiots will continue to flame the creator.

Enter from the overground tunnel next to the tower or the MAGMA CAVE or across from the TUNNELS themselves. 41.Magma Cave - Cave at the very bottom of the map, west end. Either climb down the Mine or go across from the Earth Village. 42.Giant Tree - North West corner of the map. Just climb up the tunnel from your house and head west and you'll run right into it 43.The Tower - East end of the map. One of the trickier places to reach. When starting out the best thing to do is to climb the TREE, hop over the ledges to the CHURCH. Exit near the little grave at the edge and jump down to the lower overhang in the OVERGROUND so you can reach it. 44.Sky Village - Climb to about 3/4 of the way up the tower and it's right there.

Under rating threshold (show) @koroi fox: If you mean the gems at the top of the wall on the far right, get the dash boots, climb to the top of the pillar to the left of it, make sure you have full jump level and double jump skill, and dash jump off the very top of the pillar, double jump and reach the far wall.

The creator says so on Newgrounds I think I fist found this on Newgrounds. I wish they'd kept the "heartbreaker" achievement. Something that definitely deserves an "impossible".

I didn't like how I was slipping into enemies and felt like I didn't have very much control over my character, but once everything levels up, it didn't really bother me that much. The end reward was gratifying, well worth getting 100% for.

Under rating threshold (show) Finally completed it with 100% everything ^^ woo. boss is so easy now that I'm amazed i ever feared going to sleep. my advice? level up to 5 in this order: Healing, fortitude (or fortitude, helling), jump, run, Relationship. then get enough gems for double jump and dash. when he runs at you with the blade, just jump to the over side easy, n when there's shadow gems down but he's in the way, just dash through him, take the damage and heal. it's really easy now n having lvl 5 skills from the morning gives you more time to look for those last gems (btw my last few gems were in the very very very top right of the level n were a bitch to get)

Under rating threshold (show) what you wanna do to beat the nightmare is try to get all of the skills first (i.e. double jump, dash, fortitude, and radar if you want). Dont worry about beating nightmare the first couple of nights. just worry about the daytime. Also, dont waste gems on the fence boy until later. You can get the skills in the bunny village (by completing mini-quests) or by going to the skytower (by paying 150 gems per skill). Once you get all the skills, THEN worry about getting max skills. the easiest way to max out everything is to go right above the bunny village and use air recovery on the weaker enemies. This gets you fortitude, heal, and jump. Run is easy to lvl up. Once you max out everything, wait until it's nighttime. When fighting nightmare, let the nightmare get hit by the comets. Then collect the dark gems that he drops. once you collect enough, you win.

Under rating threshold (show) Just beat it 100%, I.freaking.love.this.game. Seriously, it's just so good. Once I got over losing all your skills, it became one of my favorites on the site. I'd kill for a sequel but I doubt there will be one this much later. And for the people who talked to the computer after getting 100%, wouldn't it be awesome to see the finished version of that? He may have finished, I don't know, but it looked great. Also. I'll give you 1 guess what my percentage complete was when I beat the game. Well, if you said 99.9% you would be absolutely right. Yes, out of every single gem, NPC, skill, enemy and every single entry in the Codex, I missed 1 single gem and finished with 99.9% complete. Thankfully it only took about 20 minutes to find it. 6/5

Under rating threshold (show) This game is awe-freaking-some. I'd give it 6/5 if i could... BTW the nightmare is SUPPOSED to kill you on the first try. Then you start over with more knowledge of the game and therefore much better chances to gain levels. The nightmare will kill you a few times but you'll get stronger each time until you can finally double jump and run fast. From there it is a matter of avoiding the nightmare and killing it before it levels up too much.
