i dont see why people see the unit control a major problem i love have a but load of unit under my comand i mean if you divid your army right under stand they move in groups not flanks unless you tell them to to is extremly easy to flank destory in say a minute on a 'boss' town/horde i mean first time i did the elf starting home i had a rank 2 militia and just used power in numbers to simply over whelm and set traps for your enemies in later levels 5/5 i seggust though you keep making bigger maps more range speclized units. to all those who have trouble in later level i seggust you go back complete previous levels and get mor shields and 2. USE YOUR MERCS!!!!they are effective flanking unit if you buy after they pass and meet with your army.....

Ill give this game a 2,at first it's eazy but then when you really need to control your units in the later lvls....the commands just fail you to no end,im on the 2nd island on the human compang and i cant bee one lvl case my units are not attacking what they should be

Also is it just me or did this game get a grammar downgrade? I don't mean any offense to the creator, but it ruins the flawlessly brilliant consistency throughout the game for me.

soldier AI control is miserable ive lost so many battles due to its mistakes.the game nearly becomes impossible after 2nd country.youll have ur strongest unit basically running away from the enemy advancing toward your castle

the dark screen with "Game Paused" that appears when game loses focus has an "OK" button located exactly over the "Restart" button of the actual Pause menu... Clicking one activates both and can be extremely annoying...

i HATE the commands thiing how a screen pops up but the game is good i rate 3/5 mainly due to the fact that the commands really SUCK

One of the real problems of this game is that the amount of units that can be bought it controlled by food. The game would be a lot better if I could buy as many units as I wanted, as the unit limit makes it hard to keep track of how many you can buy.

I wanted to like this game. I really did. The first country was a lot of fun and I was looking forward to upgrading and enjoying the rest of the game.
Then I moved to the second country.
This game has, by far, the worst unit control that I have had the displeasure of experiencing. More than half the time I try to command a unit to move or attack, it brings up the ridiculous Move/Attack/Cancel menu, and when I select my option, the units still don't comply. I have lost many, many, many times simply because the A.I. is too slow and stupid to respond to my apparently advanced war tactics.

It's got potential, but the controls are shoddy (the popup for move/attack move is just annoying and it's difficult to select what you want to) and the AI pathing is borderline between concussed frog and damp pebble. Units getting stuck, randomly deciding to not go to the waypoint after all, ignoring commands to move and heading in the opposite direction right into enemies and towers... play this until you get the badges, then play no more.

OK HERES WHY UNIT CONTROL IS SO DIFFICULT SELECTING UNITS IS EASEY BUT THE THREE OPSHIONS THAT POP UP WEN YOU WANT TO MOVE THEM IS A WAST OF TIME AND FRUSTERATING WHY DO THAT WHEN YOU CAN CLICK A UNIT THEN A ENEMY WHEN YOU WANT THEM TO ATTACK? AND A LOCACTOIN WHEN YOU WANT THEM TO MOVE? RATE UP SO THE DEVEIPER CAN SEE

When you select multiple squads, the range is the sum of all units range.
Selecting 5 human archer squads shows.. 900 range.

I would have enjoyed this game more, if it applied actual tactics to win. Sure I can spend my time actually trying to win faster, and better, but why bother when spamming first level archers, will get me through more than half the game. It was hardly worth playing for the badges, which I completely unlocked in less than 25 minutes. idk, maybe I'm putting too much expectation into it.

Aww, it's just so adorable to see how those boys, despite being in the middle of great battle, still remember not to step on grass! :3

And on that note... LOOK AT THE DATE OF THIS THING!!! Why are we even talking? This is long been a past done deal. 1 year later and... ok. Ill still say Kingdom rush is a boring wait it out for the next upgrade game with little intrest to me. This was fun, but realizing the age on it... well, ive got more hope for SONY(tm) figuring out how to come out with original ideas (hah...never)

I know you've seen it before but I want to love this game, and the strange decision to make unit control frightningly awful makes me want to go on a killing rampage. It's tried and true, if you want to keep this control scheme, then you need to redesign your maps to keep them simple. If you're willing to ditch the scheme, hotkeys for unit selection and individually assigned orders/waypoints for squads is a great solution. I feel like it would unbalance the game dynamics a bit to do the latter, and the former would be an entire redesign... So I guess... damn. Better luck next time.

Game: 3/5 Reasoning: Ok folks, get over yourselves. Programming is difficult as it is, w/o ignorance clouding the mind. Sequel in spirit agreed. Game is large, fun in the idea of playing through w/ multiple races and {abilities}. Music is still enjoyable, soothing, but not overwhelming. Like the first. Graphics took a swing to modern avoiding retro. Take it or leave it. Unit stats and actions work according to specified parameters. The resource and assault actions aren't given the same love. Units rarely listen to actions much like toddlers listening to parents. Commanding a unit to [atk] a location maybe 1 in. lower than him can result in the ENTIRE force retracing steps back to home, maybe the other way... or just (vibrating?) stuck in an animation of movement looking much like frightened cowardice.
{ADVICE} Quit making new "stuff", and iron out the kinks in the formula. You have a great potential product (note the word on potential)

After the amazing game that was NECRONATOR I believe we all had high hopes here. We threw out everything you knew and kept the "click to make go" button. I was not impressed with how I had to ALTER my ways just to pick up 1 more damn shield. Ultimately costing shields to obtain useless (relative term) shields for completion. Reset skills also lies. Keep units/spells though it does reset upgrades. The missions become staggeringly bizzare in balance since you have no idea how the com. keeps up w/ itself. Some levels it barely floats while in others it can summon 4 F'n heroes while keeping a full regiments worth of troops. What gives Armor?! (Imitating Puss' in Boots) You are better than this!!!

No, seriously, wht have you done with the undead, they are so week, most of they're units just get beaten by 1 squad of archers,

When you have a team mate (such as the last level on the man campain) they should be auto-controlled. if there castle falls then the game still goes on. rate this up if you think this might be a good idea

Awful game once you get past the first few levels. You can't control your units as to which paths to take in a fork in a road consistently. Sometimes they go to the Way Points, sometimes they don't. 1/5 Stars. My suggestion, go play Kingdom Rush.
