Under rating threshold (show) oh and maybe have the ability to change the direction of the paddle using the keyboard... like Q-NW W-N E-NE A-W etc... or the numpad (just remember laptops don't have numpads...

Under rating threshold (show) much better than bouncing... the idea is cool but the collision testing really needs work... maybe don't just move the object to the mouse's position instead it following it but makes sure it doesn't pass through another bouncing object: you ball and the red balls and the bouncing targets...

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting concept, but the execution isn't great. Never quite knowing when the paddle will actually affect the ball and when thee ball will simply pass through is a huge issue

Under rating threshold (show) I think all of you having the ball go through the paddle need to center the paddle when the ball is coming. It has never gone through the paddle for me when I do this. Are you saying it goes straight through, by the way, or does it take an extreme angle?

Under rating threshold (show) The collision based detection is frustrating - a physics-based paddle would have been a bit more intuitive. 3/5 because the difficulty curve is incredibly steep and somewhat frustrating because of the controls.

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting twist on Breakout-style games. It's too difficult to control the ball properly since the paddle needs to be moving quite slowly for collision detection to occur. I suppose that makes it easier to move the paddle past the ball in tight spots, but a player-controlled solid/ghost toggle would've been better. Also would've been nice to be able to rotate the paddle.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice concept but the collision detection doesn't seem to work very well. I think you need to implement a prediction based system where you determine if the ball is about to or has hit then move it to the edge of the bat so that it no longer hits. This should stop the ball from getting stuck or bouncing in the opposite direction when hitting the bat.
