the curves are bad and the other cars don't have the same handicaps of you. I appreciate the effort into make some game, but this is just annoying to see you have too much disadvantages compared to you enemies.

After I unlocked the special car, it hit me - the opponents are all using special cars disguised as normal cars. That's the ONLY way to explain how they haul tail through those curves without slowing, skidding, or crashing like my normal car did.

awful game, if you brake, everyone just passes you no problem, if you dont brake, you crash and again, everyone passes you...

Very fustrating game. Travelling at same speed with enemy, I spin out while they can continue without even moving an inch outwards.

I know this game is long past any point when it will be updated, but it would have greatly benefited from an overhead map to show you where on a track you were and a rearview mirror.

There are only 3 challenges in this game: 1) Clearing the first large turn at the start of the Great Britain map. 2) Surviving the constant exaggerated wooshing noises. 3) Retaining your sanity. The solutions are: 1) Stick to the far right of the track, brake when you reach the turn, boost immediately after. If you crash at any point, restart immediately, you have no chance of hitting top 3. 2) Mute all sound as soon as you start the game. 3) Worship an eldritch horror so you learn to live without it.

Not a bad game, but whoever made this should check the tracks before naming it. The USA track in the reality is the track in Spain, the Chinese is the Italian track, and Bahrain is Hungary. Literally none of them could guess the correct name to the track.

@Deffa, if I understand the achievements, the 1st place in all levels must be done without the special car. Once you activate special car, the only achievement that we can earn is the last one (278 mph).

Too much Nrg from cars not touching you, then tries and tries until you get first places, really bad game if you make cars go always to the same space moving around and don't be affected by touching you

TurboNuke, robotJam, and LongAnimals put together some of the funnest racing games on Kongregate. Nice to see one of em as BOTD.

Automatic 1/5 for lack of an autosave or a save of any kind for that matter. Seriously, guys, you made this game in 2011, not 1981. Come to think of it, there were even games back then which allowed you to save your progress, back in the days BEFORE hard drives were commercially available. For a game made this late, there's absolutely no excuse.

(I want an impossible medal for getting first place on all tracks with the non-special car. I was so determined to "be the best" that I just kept replaying the final level until I got 1st place. Then once I activated the special car [Having already gotten first place on all levels] I was borderline offended at the idea of calling "Addicted to Winning" a "hard" badge. That special car is cake.)

You can beat this game without using any brakes (It's an achievement)
For me unless it is raining at 100%, I will set 50:50 for Engine and Handling. If it is 100% raining, it all goes into Handling. The trick is not to get blocked by the opponents and boosting at turns (don't press the accelerator if you see your car veering off and let your boost do the speed increase for you)
But seriously, the opponents are just annoying.

I still love this game, but the idea that I slow down and they don't when we bump is ridiculous. I assume that the programming would be dumb to implement both of us slowing down, as that would mean a single touch would lead virtually instantly to a dead stop. However, the idea that I can go from 230 down to 170 just because the guy in front of me who was going 190 decided to swerve in front of me, keep in mind that guy is in 10th place, is incredibly frustrating.

Good racing game. It would be nice to have the starting line on the level select screen. Although mini map w/ opponent's positions would obviously be optimal this would be much easier to implement.

1/5 game is too boring. if you follow or dont follow that dudes advice for easy wins, it doesnt change the fact that all youre doing is pressing 3 or 4 keys throughout the game. i dont see how this is the self-proclaimed 'ultimate racing challenge.' easy and brainless, anyone can beat this trash with little difficulty. i prefer to not waste my time on garbage like this. 1/5 cant stand this crap...

Thank you for the engine tip! I usually SUCK at these Pole Position kind of games. Second try at the game and I came in first place.

Cool. I upgraded the engine, upon entering the game, just before the first race, as recommended, and won on my first go!

COPIED FOR VISABILITY: To get the easy badge on your first race: go to "Set up Car" and set engine to max (top of triangle). Start the race. Hold down W throughout the race even if you're off the track. Don't bother trying to brake ever. Press Space to boost every time it's available and the track ahead is straight. I came first by some margin, even though I crashed once (hit the metal gantry).

Wow, this game is great. Can't tell what's coming up, can't stop using boost, can't turn like the other cars, slow down if you're hit or if you hit them. Awesome.

Don't spend your money on buying license early on-use it to upgrade your car.And prepare to lose.1/5 very bad.No mini map.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Max out your engine. It's tempting to get handling for the tight corners, but the upgrades are really unbalanced and handling actually makes very little difference to your car- but extra acceleration is invaluable. Even though you'll have to decelerate around corners slightly more, you'll pick your speed back up again far faster.

Actually, I agree with Vamps10, it's only an "ok" racing game. It has too many inconsistencies to make it a great racing game. You hit someone from behind? You lose speed and they pull ahead of you. If you get hit from behind? They just move to the side and still pass you anyway. And YOU are the only person who is required to brake going into curves, everyone else accelerates through with no problems. And what happened to drafting? It doesn't seem to exist in this game.

Here's how to get the hard badge: finish top three in all races and use the special car. It's really overpowered. To get top three in all races I used maximum engine. You get some boost for braking, so remember to use the brakes in the curves where you need to reduce speed.
